Exclusive Abuse Photos

On Wednesday Salisbury News exposed a story in which no one else knew about. WBOC read the Blog and did finally get something up Thursday night but had their numbers all wrong and no video of the animals allegedly abused by Terrell Strawberry. One dog was found dead on the scene and the photo above is one of the 13 dogs confiscated from the property still alive. You can clearly see the ribs, tail bone and hip bones on this animal, yet it was as sweet as one of my own labs.

This is a story in which we'll keep you updated regularly. I don't think this thing is going to go away any time soon. Once again, unlike WBOC, we're NOT going to expose information in which we have been asked to keep quiet for the time being. This is the second time in the past week WBOC has exposed confidential information but they claim this is what makes them "Delmarva's News Leader," The way WE see it here at Salisbury News, (especially after tonight's news cast) Salisbury News keeps breaking local news stories at least a day in advance and WBOC reads it here and then starts calling the people involved in our articles. Yes, this has been confirmed dozens of times as these people call me right back letting me know WBOC just read our Post and they wanted to know more.

WBOC is quickly gaining the reputation that they cannot be trusted. I'd say Salisbury News is Delmarva's News Leader and WBOC should be named, "Follow The Leader." Like it or not, it's true. Read Salisbury News and then watch WBOC that evening or the next evening and you'll see our stories on their show a day or two later. Granted, sometimes it's on the same day because we post so early.

We'll keep you posted on the dogs recovered by the Humane Society.

Gawd that makes me want to throw up. They should get punished more than Michael Vick got. We have to stop this abuse, talk about hate?

wboc is as reputable as any 'figure' in Salisbury. That being not at all.
Those poor pups. Will Wicomico Humane Society adopt out pits? I always have heard they put them down no matter the disposition. I hope that is false. I have a HUGE soft spot for pits because they get such a bad rap. Like any dog they are as good as you are to them.
I hope the ones that are able to be adopted will be given the chance.

is that a pit??? It almost looks like my american bulldog, which is easily confused for a pit!

Thanks for posting the pic & info.
Hopefully the judge that trys this
individual will throw the book at
them. I hope you will do a follow
through on all these abuse cases
so the public will see how the
judges handle these
cases. From what I hear most are
given a slap on the wrist or the
case is thrown out. The Humane
Society works hard to try & get
conviction in these cases & it has
to be most discouraging when nothing is done!!!
Joe, would you please keep these
things updated so the people can
see what is happening.
It would also be informative to
the public to see which judges
do nothing. Edna Walls

Were these dogs for fighting? I wasn't sure if it was a puppymill for pits.
I personally don't believe there should be a policy where, just because an animal is a certain breed they get "put down".
Unless they're CLEARLY agressive they should be adopted out.

I adopted a pitbull about 5 years ago but the description said pitbull mix.

Sounds like Steve Hammond doesn't know when to keep quiet. He should have moved on years ago.

WBOC also takes a pledge of not releasing information about certain towns. As well as not following up on stories they only had half correct to begin with.
Hopefully the jerk will pay for this abuse, but seeing how the judges handle situations of gross negligence and abuse of not only animal but human as well, he'll will probably get a slap on the back of the head and walk away.

What ever happened to the story about the puppies in a shed a few weeks ago.
