Dear Joe,
This morning the newspaper published an article about the economy and fallling oil prices, I think your readers would love to chime in. This article (not written locally of course) says what we already know, oil is down from $4.50 to about $2.00 - but DMO has not notified me of an adjustment being made to my winter budget. And food prices are outrageous. Can you offer us a place to comment on this topic. thank you.

There are several businesses that I deal with that imposed a "fuel surcharge" a couple of months ago when we were paying $4....those companies will NEVER willingly give up that extra revenue. I predict that eventually the separate line item on the bill which says "fuel surcharge" will eventually leave, but the extra charges will not.
Fair? Who said life is fair?
Our family signed a budget contract with Taylor oil this past September. The maxium price per gallon of oil is "capped" at $4.99.
Last Tuesday our tank was filled and we were billed $2.80 per gallon. At the time of the contract signing projected oil prices were quite high AND are still forcasted to increase this winter due to OPEC cutting back production. All monies paid into the budget plan are posted and credited/debited on our statements.
Ya know what? - I hate paying this bill, I'd much rather have a big screen tv payment but thats life.
Mr. Taylor and his company have ALWAYS treated us fairly and with great service. But I still hate to write that monthly check.
The budget plans for oil are a rip off, a scam.
Try the budget plan with Sharp Gas, you'll be happy to take Jimmy Taylor a check.
It's my understanding that DMO "locked in" their fuel prices when the prices were high, so now they're stuck with having to pay those prices for their fuel. That, of course, gets passed along to their customers.
I bought 150 gal yesterday from Star oil for @2.64.9. If you would post prices like gas maybe you would se more competition.
