After burning through billions in bailout cash, the troubled Insurance Company American International Group, (AIG) is getting more financial assistance from the government under a restructured deal worth about $150 billion. The news comes as the failing insurer reporting a steep third quarter loss of $24 billion.
Bend Over Americans. Maybe Circuit City is next? What about Feldman's! Want another TIF Barrie Tilghman? How about another Fire Boat See & Gordy.

Wonder how many "retreats" this money is to pay for?
I don't think it's right they gave them another dime!
Geesh!
The Feds are refusing to disclose who is getting the money. Who is gonna make them anyway...

If I remember my politics correctly can't the president veto any bill passed by congress or the house?
Isn't this the craziest thing you've ever heard of.
First AIG says it needs 30 billion.
Then AIG says it needs 60 billion.
Then AIG says it needs 120 billion.
Where does it end? Unbelievable, how can their estimates be that far off!
yet they get million dollar bonuses and lavish vacations, all on our dime. Who is next to scam the govt ie you and me out of our hard earned money, yet we go without.
Joe at least you don't live in Md and Wico to have to foot the tax bill.
Maybe if AIG would stop spending all that money on the TV ads they wouldn't need as much sheeesh
As I indicated yesterday, this is becoming a pattern and the incompetent U.S. auto industry is waiting in line, hands out. This must be stopped NOW, along with the reckless, outrageous and criminal spending of local, state and federal governments. We don't need a new park or a new library, and we don't need to be wasting money on businesses that should be allowed to fail. They will fail, regardless.
I'm sorry but can someone explain to me the difference in socialism and capitalism. I'm confused.
A majority of house of Rep and senate can override a presidential veto. I may stand to be corrected but I think it must be a 2/3 majority.
We still have the;

Airline Industry
Credit Card Companies.
Bank (BACKED THE CARDS)
