On today's bulletin board inside the Daily Times they are asking for voluntary layoffs from their current employees/staff.
Besides their 10% layoff announced by Salisbury News, they are asking people to take a bullet for others so they can continue to COMPETE with Salisbury News. Come on guys, help them out and quit. No unemployment, no benefits, let's get that Joe Albero guy.
And you people give me sh!t about not caring about so many job losses. Hell, these people are asking employees to line up and ask to lose their jobs.

my's job's too impotent.
This is turning into one of those "as the stomach turns" soap operas.
Hopefully they shut down and quit killing the trees!
It's not a competition, because you're not running an ad-driven newspaper or even a news-gathering organization. Why do you even continue to make the comparison? Your misplaced vendetta against this simple small-town newspaper continues to be an enigma.
Hey Joe!
Why don't you hire all of the people who lose their jobs. After all according to you Salisbury has been the demise of Salisbury Times.

Have you seen what they deliver? NO THANKS!
Joe they have also been told to report to the nearest cotton farm fields come Jan 21,2009.This is only for the white workers.
Maybe they could get some of our money from the feds . Or are they being listed as free market ? If so its survival of the fittest. Isn't that what our country is suppose to be based on. Thats how we keep a check on the over inflated inferior product manufacturing isn't it ? A couple of more weeks and Joe can start his own paper. Just hold out till you can get the entire business for pennys on the dollar and then we could have a local paper worth reading. You Go Joe :)
Once they close down, buy it on the cheap and start the SBY Newspaper! Heck - all it takes is you reporting, GA doing the OP ED pieces, and Wymzie doing the classifieds.
That would be awesome.
Sunnyinoc does the classifieds. Not wymzie. Wymzie reaches to the outer fringes of reality to report some of the most far out theories the imagination can conjure up - most of which, incidentally, prove to be accurate.
