Please find the attached photographs taken TODAY at 1:45 PM. This vehicle is driven by a Mr. Gary Comegys and it is hidden once again BEHIND his home during normal working and business hours at Parson's Cemetery.
I have been informed by many people over the years that Mr. Comegys regularly spends time at his home during the business day and this evidence clearly shows the rumors are true. Please go to this POST on November 12th to see the same evidence.
You can also go HERE to see that Mr. Comegys doesn't have anything to hide on weekends because he parks the SHA vehicle in FRONT of his home and NOT hidden in the cemetery.
While Mr. Comegys has been challenged MANY times in the past as to how he can find all this time to campaign for City Council, attend Maryland Municipal League seminars and meetings and find time to go to Council Work Sessions during normal business hours, some of us would like to know why nothing has been done about this in the past. I have even called the SHA locally and asked that question and the response was, all of his time is accounted for.
I personally do NOT believe this is an honorable man and while Mr. Comegys has announced his intent to run for Mayor, I'd like to know how he can free up so much time legally. Hopefully the voters recognize his behavior as Mr. Comegys was caught parking in a Handicap Parking Space a few months ago and when I challenged him on television about his doing so, he flat out lied and said it wasn't him. I would believe the three Police Officers word over his any day.
Mr. Ruark, you know why your name is attached to this message. The Taxpayers want and deserve answers.
Now, here's my thinking on this whole Gary Comegys running for Mayor thing. I believe there's going to be a last minute twist to the Mayoral Race. I believe the Mayor has made promises to Mr. Comegys over the years and I believe she encouraged him to run for Mayor. However, she's never gone public in such and has reserved any comment about her running. I believe once they ALL realize that Gary truly isn't a solid candidate, the Mayor will announce she's going to run.
Right now there's no attention on the Mayor's past and that's exactly what she wants. No matter what, See, Gordy, Chief Webster and MANY others are worried stiff about what the future holds for them. Comegys can't win, we all know that. However, Landlords could pull their threats once again on thousands of Students into voting for Comoegys or Tilghman. It's going to be a tough and very interesting race. Just don't fall asleep at the wheel Folks because they pulled a fast one with Louise Smith, they'll do it again.
Right now, Jim Ireton is the front runner, (IMO) and they know it. They have been attempting to use this Blog through comments to bash him any way they can and by now they have learned I'm simply too smart for their games. They have a LOT to lose if someone like Ireton gets in there and cleans house. So, you either keep things the way they have been going or you put in an honorable man like Jim Ireton in as Mayor and get this City back on track again. It's completely up to all of you.
By the way, keep those phone calls coming in every time you see Mr.Comegys SHA vehicle parked behind his home in the cemetery.

Joe, before you trouble Davis too much, please tell us what LAW has been broken by this action. Being deceptive to the taxpayers is NOT against the law. Maybe you can make a "spirit of the law" argument that he is "stealing" TIME from the taxpayers but I highly doubt, as much as it makes people upset, that this violates any CRIMINAL statute. The best method to address this is to forward all this to his superiors with documented press coverage so they can weasel out of it. Just my opinion. thanks.
I don't know; I am just beyond flabbergasted that, if true, this dumbass would continue to park such a visible ( naturally, all of our special forces troops wear the bright banana yellow color to blend into the indigenous landscape)taxpayer funded vehicle (during his taxpayer funded work hours-who, or what, is he doing behind closed doors there?)in a cemetary after already being publicly exposed and (appropriately) ridiculed. well first off he is not the only sh employee doing this so why point him out. i used to have a neighbor that worked for sha and he was at home more during the work day then he was at work he would leave for work come home with the sha truck and hang out at home for most of the day and around the end of the work day he would leave then return home in his personal vehicle.
Please ask the head of Parsons Cemetery if they let him do that because he is on the Salisbuty City Council.
You fail to understand, there is only about twenty years worth of this crap going on. Check fire calls when he was active on how many times he would mark up on calls at station 2 years ago to keep his percentage up. How many times did he use his truch to respond to calls.

This has been going on for years. He use to park across the street from Station 2 and play fireman all day while on State time. His supervisor was notified numerous times and nothing happened. I suggest you contact the Governors office and quit messing with the lower level protection that he has. I have watched this saga go on since 1985 and it continues today. The man is stupid and wants to be your next Mayor. What would Mayor Bubba do if he found a police car of fire vehicle in this same scenario ? He would scream to have them fired for wasting tax dollars. Dont mess locally. Go to Annapolis with your photos and complaint. You'll get results.
Comegy’s hung around fire station 2 for countless hours over the years drinking coffee by the gallon. If all those hours were added up it might add up to ¼ of his time worked over the years. Mr. Comegy’s isn’t a trust worthy person in my eyes.

A volunteer firemen leaving work to fight a fire then returning to work is a good community service. However wasting countless hours of my tax dollars hiding at the fire station is utterly ridiculous. People like Mr. Comegy’s are why some employers aren’t willing to let volunteer firemen leave their jobs.

Yes, a volunteer leaving his/her job to help i.e. ambulance or fire is a noble thing to do for the community. Mr. Comegy’s appears to have greatly abused his freedom over the years from what I read. Mr. Comegy’s is far from the person Salisbury needs to run our city as Mayor.

Now lets look at the big picture. Bubba is running for Mayor. Gordy is his campaign manager and Deputy Chief of the fire department. He applied for Chief in 2001 and didn't make it. They could see right through him. If Bubba is elected he will make Gordy the fire chief and Hoppes is left holding the bag. Bubba will owe Gordo big time for helping him get elected with slumlord votes. You see, Gordo gets whatever he wants and he wants Bubba elected. Once elected he will find a third vote to assure a 3 to 2 every time. The fire department will have 80 ft boats, helicopters and 200 volunteers. You laugh, but the people in the fire department know whats going on. Listen to them and you will learn alot about the dirty politics in Salisbury.
Sounds like a career state employee to me. I agree with Anon 3:51, Ruark isn't going to get involved. It's not popular to go after one of your own. One would actually have to be an honest prosecutor and not let politics stand in the way. That will not happen with Ruark. The Dems practice protectionism. Need I say more?

It was Baby Duck with the beacon ray truck. He hung out at Station 2 every day and leached off the State. He saw to it that the Paid firemen didn't come to calls in Station 2 territory. That way they didn't get there first and spoil his fun. That all changed on morning about 9 years ago. He woke up to find his neighbors garage ablaze and everything around on fire. He came over the air screaming for the Duty Crew to come save his CRIB. This moment was described as PRICELESS by many. The man is a hypocrit and is dumb as a rock. Is their any chance Mr. Comegys took a 1:00 x 2:00 lunch and had a sandwich at home. The immediate supervisors are as much to blame as anyone in this case. If Drewer is the boss and has let this situation continue, than he should be disciplined as well. Drewer has been there too long anyway, forced retirement would be appropriate.

As I have said before, he is the worst abuser of cheating on time in District 1. Donnie Drewer is quite aware of his abusive history. His co-workers know it as well. He was almost fired once, hopefully he "will" get fired before he retires. Better yet, ship him to western Maryland so he has no way of serving on any local council, memberships etc.
