TO ALL MY FRIENDS.....LIBERAL OR CONSERVATIVE...

George Bush has been in office for 7 1/2 years. The first six years the economy was fine.
A little over one year ago:
1) Consumer confidence stood at a 2 1/2 year high;
2) Regular gasoline sold for $2.19 a gallon;
3) the unemployment rate was 4.5%.
4) the DOW JONES hit a record high--14,000 +
5) Americans were buying new cars,taking cruises, vacations overseas, living large!...

But Americans wanted 'CHANGE'! So, in 2006 they voted in a Democratic Congress and yes--we got 'CHANGE' all right. In the PAST YEAR:
1) Consumer confidence has plummeted;
2) Gasoline is now over $4 a gallon & climbing!;
3) Unemployment is up to 5.5% (a 10% increase);
4) Americans have seen their home equity drop by $12 TRILLION
DOLLARS and prices still dropping;
5) 1% of American homes are in foreclosure.
6) as I write, THE DOW is probing another low~~

TO ALL MY FRIENDS.....LIBERAL OR CONSERVATIVE...$2.5 TRILLION DOLLARS HAS EVAPORATED FROM THEIR STOCKS, BONDS & MUTUAL FUNDS INVESTMENT PORTFOLIOS!

YES, IN 2006 AMERICA VOTED FOR CHANGE...AND WE SURE GOT IT! ....

REMEMBER THE PRESIDENT HAS NO CONTROL OVER ANY OF THESE ISSUES, ONLY CONGRESS.

AND WHAT HAS CONGRESS DONE IN THE LAST TWO YEARS, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

NOW THE DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATE FOR PRESIDENT CLAIMS HE IS GOING TO REALLY GIVE US CHANGE ALONG WITH A DEMOCRATIC CONGRESS!!!!

JUST HOW MUCH MORE 'CHANGE' DO YOU THINK YOU CAN STAND?

Once again, the democrats dont want to hear this. They keep saying Bush vetoed their proposals and thats just not true. Its their way (the Democrats) to put the blame on someone else (the Rupublicans) So yes, change you will see when Barrack Hussein Obama is in and changes you will not really like when he is finally there. I am so amazed at at much he is swaying the ones who are voting for him.

It really doesn't matter that you state the facts, because the Democrats have made a science out of blaming Bush for everything.
You are absolutely correct that the economy was running gangbusters before the Dems took control of the congress.
Obama keeps lying about the taxes of the middle class under his plan.
Someone should ask Obama 2 simple questions:
1. Under your administration, are you going to let the bush tax cuts expire? (The answer is yes, but you will get paragraphs of non-answer)
2. If the Bush tax cuts expire, aren't everyones taxes going up?

The main stream media won't ask even the most basic questions of the Obama coo.
Look what has happened to Joe plumber. The guy that represents average working guy asks a simple question and he gets slammed int he media.
Just wait till Obama the dictator gets elected!

The people who vote for Obama have
nothing to lose . Most are on welfare or drawing unemployment.
Most are people who want to be taken care of.The list goes on and on. The others who vote for Obama are ones that have maxed their
credit cards and are in debt up to their a$$ , they want the gov. to bail their a$$ out.

1103am, the other part of obama voters have gov. jobs...they thrive on bigger more expensive goverment!!

11:03 is right.
We can only save our democracy by implementing a system where the contributing members (taxpayers) have more of a say (votes) than the non-contributing members. Some will say this is racist as a way to dismiss the idea completely; I say it's the only way to prevent our inevitable decline into socialism and then communism.

Two years of a democratic congress did not cause this mess. This is the direct result of all the deregulation that has been focus since Reagan. How do you pay for a war and reduce revenues? Borrow, borrow, borrow, spend now and let the next generation pay. Pure selfishness

I wish more people realized that, despite any promises they may make as candidates, a President cannot spend one penny of taxpayer money. Spending is the responsibility of the Congress. The Clinton years were good economically because Republicans controlled Congress, where all spending occurs, during much of his presidency. As the writer said, the Democrats took over Congress in the latter part of the Bush presidency, and look what has happened to the economy. During the campaign we are bombarded with statements that our taxes will be raised under Obama. Again, he cannot raise one cent unless he has the cooperation of Congress. That is why we must have Republicans who will be his checks and balances if, God help us, he is elected.

The first lie in all that:

"The first six years the economy was fine."

The economy was not "fine." The vultures on Wall Street had been gouging and manipulating for years with no oversight. The oil barons and war profiteers had been making their billions for years, unchecked.

Anyone who thinks we've ended up in the toilet because of 18 months of Dems marginally in control of Congress needs to go the hell back to Civics 101 class.

This was one of the dumbest-ass Internet emails I've gotten this whole election season.

So, do the Dems in Congress get credit for the gas now being $2.79 a gallon instead of $4? They were in charge for both.

Jesus, get a clue. Here, have mine. I've already used it plenty.
