Rush/Debates

"These debates, they're phony. They're total media creations. What happens in a debate? Okay, these two guys show up someplace, they stand at lecterns, and you have three or four selected elites from the Drive-By Media get to ask the questions, therefore frame the whole debate. The candidates don't. After it's over, the Drive-Bys then head to the spin room, where various representatives of both candidates tell the Drive-Bys what they didn't hear but that they wanted them to hear, and then the Drive-Bys tell us after all that what they heard that they wanted us to hear, defying our own eyes and what we saw. "

And on Thursday, Gwen Ifel, a black woman from PBS who has penned a glowing article about the "Kennedyesqe" Obamas for Essence mag, and who is releasing a fawning book about OBama in January oh, right around inaguaration time is the MODERATOR for the debate between Palin and Biden. WTF???? Gee, wasn't Oprah available to skewer Palin ?

If you don't like the commentary, then don't listen. But the debates (which aren't really debates at all, just one-sided Q&As with vastly prepared statements) are still required viewing for concerned citizens.

This lady should be removed from the debate.

Yea, why not just have Hannity do the debate, yea and then let's just have Rush do the commentary, yea and then let's just have O'Reilly do the wrap up. Yea that it.

Gwen Ifel has a financial stake in Obama becoming president, you liberal morons. You Obama supporters can never counter with a logical argument, you just sling back ridiculous comments about conservatives. Why don't you just name some of the accomplishments of you chosen one? Oh thats right he voted present over 100 times. Obam endorsed by terrorists that want to destroy the USA--you libs must be proud.

The sad thing: there are 2 groups in this election, those who like McCain, and those who hate President Bush. Obama supporters need to look into the mirror and ask, what will Obama do for ME as president and why should I vote for him. The answer shouldn't be "at least he is not George Bush- more of the same" Before you attack, yes I am a McCain supporter based on his platform, not his party.
