Real News In Real Time

Yesterday brought us 340 comments, (so far) and that number is guaranteed to rise as the days go on. This is great stuff Folks. While visitors continue to increase every day here at Salisbury News, your participation plays a key role in healthy debate as well as knowledge of information you're just not going to get from other sources of MSM. Now if I can only get them to stop stealing my photos and stories, (or at least get paid for them) I'd be in much better shape. Oh well, when we go after their advertisers here soon we'll show them what they've been up to and why SBYnews is actually the leader as to where to go to get your local news and information. I love the WMDT statement, "More News In Less Time." I'll go with, "Real News In Real Time" for Salisbury News instead. Keep those comments coming and again, thank you for all the support.

I love the tag!

I lost all respect for WMDT after they stole your pictures last week Joe. I noticed how they dropped their on line article completely rather than giving you credit for the picture they stole. I no longer watch their news.

Congrats on the increase in comments. I totally depend on my news coming from this blog and have told everyone I know to come here.

More news in less time only means they don't have the time to tell you the whole story. WMDT sucks. What's the difference in stealing a candy bar and stealing photos? Someone should have been arrested for blatantly breaking the law.

I disagree that WMDT sucks. At least they will cover local happenings

Yeah, after it's been reporter by salisbury news. After reading the article about them stealing pictures from Joe I started going to WBOC and I couldn't believe all of their local stories were already covered by salisbury news and they simply copied their stuff too. If you want real news and detailed information without commercials, go to salisbury news like I do and obviously you too.

Are you an employee of WMDT reading this blog so you can copy stories from it too?

Joe, you must have 10 twins.
No beats you to a story brother:)

Look Joe, some of what you put up I don't agree with but at least you give us the opportunity to voice our opinions. I'm not at all surprised that the comment volume is going up and you'll just have to deal with companies like wmdt stealing from you. It's a complement. If it makes you feel any better though, I have switched to wboc because of what they did to you and I can't stand a thief. Keep up the good work.

In all fairness, I contact reporters from WMDT and WBOC on stories "I" feel are important to the community and I encourage them to promote such information. Granted, I don't like it when they don't give me credit for my work, (photo wise) but I do NOT expect them to give me credit for stories. After all, if they did they might as well change their names to Salisbury News when it comes to their local news and information. Same goes for the Daily Times. What a convenience it must be for them to now sit back and read this Blog to get their information and then follow up days later with their version of what we've produced.

In my opinion, it's about finally educating YOU about what's going on. For far too many years they, (the MSM) have only informed you of what they wanted you to know. Now they have more news than they ever knew how to fit in a 1/2 hour show!!!!! Good for YOU and good for ME. "WE" as a team made this happen and WE will continue to raise the bar.

WMDT lost me when they lost Kenny Beck. Why do I come to Salisbury News... because they deliver news the way it used to be done. They're not afraid to speak their minds and tell the truth. The msm is afraid of their own shadow when it comes to lawsuits. Yes... many have tried suing Joe and all of them have failed. You don't see Joe lining up at attorneys offices suing the msm for stealing from him and that's what seals the deal for me. I also love the fact that this site is free. Let me tell you though... if they ever started charging I'd be happy to pay for a subscription. I'm so addicted... I think I'll start a bloggers anonymous soon and make a fortune off the Joey's.

AS a local coach, I would love to see Joe opening up some sports coverage. Would that be possible??

Hey, Joe. Good stuff!

I wonder if you would mind doing a post using this link. It's got a video in it of Gary Tuchman going to the far reaches of Alaska.

Aside from the obvious "Sarah Palin gaffes again" aspect of it, I found it very interesting because Gary Tuchman used to be a reporter here, for WBOC, I think. He was just a baby-faced kid, but very good. I'm glad to see him make good in the big time.

Secondly, I think your readers would be fascinated to get to know a little corner of our America that is scarcely known. It was an education for me to watch it.

Here's the link. Thanks, Joe.

I agree about the Sports Coverage. Daily Times does a great job of highlighting our youth athletes. The kids do enjoy seeing their achievements.

Joe, my husband and I love your blog. We stopped watching WMDT after they stole your pictures as well. If they want to go that low and not respect the fact that you have clearly taken the number one spot locally for news then we want nothing to do with them. Can you try providing articles at 6:00 so we have something else to look forward to?

Look, I have to leave something out there for the Daily Times to stay in business. Sports and Obits are about all they have left over Salisbury News. However, if some Coaches/Fans would like to become a part of the team here at Salisbury News, why not. We'll have different sections to this Blog very soon and it would fit right in. If you're interested contact me at alberobutzo@wmconnect.com .

I have seen youth sports blogs get pretty nasty, the kids get on their and get arguing with adults, it becomes a nightmare for anyone that has to proof read first. MOst of the time they end up getting shut down. I would consider avoiding that road, you have a good thing going now.

joe albero said...

That sounds accurate. Perhaps we could post all articles without allowing comments?

About your photos Joe, there is a way to embed a logo or name (unseen) until there is an attempt to duplicate the photo. I know photo studios use it, and professional photographers who post on the web. Perhaps you could also.

Keep up the good work

Thanks for all you do, Joe. Even though some of us don't live inside the city limits, We still shop, eat, go to school and work there. we use the recreation and our government offices are located there. We do depend on the good reliable source of news and info you provide.

Wait a minute, how can you be real news in real time when you take a weekend off? The news doesn't stop just because you're tired and want to go to Virginia for the weekend in your big camper. Who carries the banner then? Grand Dad? Please...

joe albero said...

anonymous 4:26, get a life. This is a FREE Blog. No commercials and ads everywhere. You show me ONE DAY where I have taken off in the past two years?

Just because I've gone away for a weekend doesn't mean this Blog has every come to a stop. As a mater of fact, even when I was in Dover for the day I still stayed in touch with Posts and moderating comments. Oh, let's not forget, I've still been ranked #1 even when I did take time away.

Didn't I divorce you once?

I've always found Grand Dad to be interesting, informed, and well-written. You clearly have neither sense nor taste. To criticize (I can't believe I'm saying this!) well-intentioned people doing a FREE job, and doing it well, is tacky. Boo to you.
