You don't need to know how to fly a fighter jet to communicate in today's world...but it helps if you know how to use a desktop/laptop computer.

My mother used to use a computer too, but now has a hard time remembering my name.

Yeah just like Ted Kennedy calling "that one" Osama Obama. McCain's mother is still alive and doing fine. Longevity and senility does run in the family. I think he was being kind by saying "that one". McCain is a war hero and deserves respect by all, whether you agree with him or not.
OMG...2:38....That is SO sad and SO SO SO true. Not even joking here. Just helping my mother fill her own prescriptions via telephone if I can't make it into town each week is like trying to teach Karen Black how to fly the damaged 747 in Airport '75. Somebody get me Joe Patroni in 2008(with Ted Striker from "Airplane" as VEEP; for the record Striker was never shot down and subsequently held as prisoner at the Macho Grande Hilton)!!!
