Obama, Kratovil, Comegys - The Triple Threat of Economic Theory

Put a Democrat in government and what do you get - socialism.  Call it what you want, but government interference in the markets is socialism;  the picking of winners and losers either directly, indirectly or by queering the markets.

Living in Wicomico County, I have the dubious honor of observing three individuals who wish to play with the free market while showing less knowledge of economics than my 17 year old.  One man wishes to be our President.  One wishes to represent us in Congress.  The last wants to be the Mayor of Salisbury.

The ONE

Barack Obama is the "ONE".  He wishes to save us all by "spreading the wealth".  How?  Obama wishes to turn America into a welfare state unrivaled in our history.  Obama claims that 95% of Americans will receive a tax cut if he is elected.  That's a pretty mean trick given that 40% of Americans pay no income tax.   Read More ...

I will respond to the democrates
one time.
I was in the office of Post Master General Day when Kennedy was killed.
It was at 12th and Penn. Ave..
I have worked for the highest
police force in the nation. I escorted spies across the DMZ.
I have seen combat. I have watched the country grow towards a socialistic government.
Believe me , this is not what you want! Don't be fooled by the
Bull-$hit that Obama has been feeding the public. It doesn't work in any society. Please clear your heads , open your eyes , think hard. If you elect this so called messiah the Nation will be lost.
We will see the war of all wars.
My God , don't let it happen. I'm am an old man , but I pride myself
in the matters of politics and
government.
Just remember , if you elect this
man , you will suffer for many generations.

I got news for ya GA, socialism bailed out capitalism. Yes Goerge W, your boy, single handedly proposed a 700 billion dollar bail out of capitalist free markets(which failed and thats ok because free markets are free to fail) but your GOP stud W bailed them out...I believe your term was "government interference"? OK, now good ahead and tell me why this was fine with you. Maybe your party should take a good long look in the mirror before you start pointing fingers.

647, you may be right but unfortunately our vote doesnt count on the shore thanks to the electoral college. MD will be won by the Dems thanks to Baltimore and the DC suburbs.

Why do you think Obama is getting all the welfare and ghetto votes? He's going to provide them a way to keep on being bums, simple as that. He's doing Jermaine Wright's work and hopefully everyone who is brainwashed by him will wise up by election day!!

Anon 0840 -

It is remarks like your's that ALMOST makes me agree with Bill Duvall about our public schools. If you had read the piece (and understood it), you would know that I don't support the policies of so-called "Big Government Conservatives" like George W Bush and the GOP Congressional leadership - INCLUDING the recent bailout bill.

Besides the bailout, you forgot to mention Medicare Part D, the DHS, and the too numerous to list profligate spending practices of the GOP-led Congress. At least we know that Democrats are going to flush tax dollars.

Of course it's all George W Bush's fault, I mean, he's the President. Because the Democratic Congress (both houses) needed him to pass the bill-NO, but they passed it anyway. He pushed the bill that he could do nothing with if Congress had sat on it. There's plenty of blame. You can start with Barney Frank and Chris Dodd. You can go back to Carter, Clinton and CRA. You can stop at both candidates for Prez supporting this bill, voting for it, and sending it to the House for Funding.
Congress, Republican or Democrat, start at any year from Carter forward and you'll find something they missed. It's hard to take care of all the "interest" groups you are beholden to and the American people. You can blame Congress for our current situation and the Clinton "surplus" that really wasn't a surplus, it was less spending by who? Clinton-No, Congress.
If you don't bother to do some research, just listen to the media hype-where Obama is the chosen one, please don't bother to vote. We'll all be better off.
