Who is he trying to fool?
Frank Kratovil's campaign is sending out an audio tape of a small portion of his comments at Salisbury University. The audio confirms Frank Kratovil, in praising Congress' passage of the bailout, says "We solved the crisis." The Kratovil campaign is arguing that he says "We solve a crisis." In either case, Kratovil is just plain wrong, neither "the crisis" or "a crisis" have been solved.
Chris Meekins, Harris Campaign Manager, released the following statement:
"Frank Kratovil is just another liberal lawyer trying to parse words. Maryland families do not believe Congress has solved A crisis or THE crisis.
"Frank Kratovil clearly recognizes that what he said was wrong and he was called on it. Now he is trying to do or say whatever he can to hide how out-of-touch he is with voters in the first district. This was Kratovil's "macacca" moment and he is going to have to answer to voters for it.
"At the event Monday, Frank Kratovil praised Congress for passing the bailout. The intent of what he was saying was very clear. In contrast, Andy Harris condemned Congress for passing the 700billion dollar taxpayer funded bailout that is hurting Maryland families."

Here's what I find interesting. It's been almost two weeks since the original, "We solved the crisis" was quoted by the Daily Times.
The Kratovil Campaign only started complaining about the alleged mis quote AFTER Andy Harris ran a commercial calling them out.
How convenient for the yellow journalism Daily Times newspaper to change their QUOTES, yet NOT retract them. They tried to fly it under the radar and they were snagged!
So can you trust the Daily Times AFTER they ALTERED an article without telling anyone? NO!
What used to be a well respected Industry is failing day by day. Where's the retraction PRINTED in the Paper????????
I don't need to hear another word from his mouth. Lewis Riley has backed Harris and I trust Mr. Riley. A man of Mr. Riley's status and reputation speaks volumes to people of the region.
Kratovil + the Daily Times = ZERO credibility.
No wonder they're pouring a few million dollars into his campaign, he fits right in with all that wacked up bunch on Capitol Hill.
