Incident: Possession of Marijuana with the Intent to Distribute
Date of Incident: 23 September 2008
Location: 700 Block of Dennis Street, Salisbury, MD
Suspects: Frederick Leon Palmer, 27, Salisbury, MD

Narrative: On 23 September 2008 at 8:40 PM, deputies from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office served a search and seizure warrant on a residence in the 700 block of Dennis Street. The warrant was the culmination of an investigation into the sale of illegal drugs from within the residence. Upon their arrival, the deputies located Frederick Palmer inside the residence in the process of preparing marijuana for distribution. During a search of the residence, deputies recovered marijuana, packaging materials, a digital scale and a loaded firearm. Assisting in the warrant service were members from the Maryland State Police.

Palmer was arrested and transported to the Central Booking Unit at the Wicomico County Detention Center where he was processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. After an initial appearance, Palmer was held in the Detention Center without bond.

Possession of a Firearm during a Drug Trafficking Crime
Possession of a Firearm by a Prohibited Person
Possession of Marijuana
Possession of Marijuana with the Intent to Distribute
Possession of Marijuana with the Intent to Distribute within 1,000 feet of a school zone

It would be great if someone who had the right connections could follow this one all the way through the system and report it! What do you want to bet he gets 3 years with 2 suspended, then out with good behavior in say 10 months.

Oh, and we pay for his lawyer (public defender), his room & board and medical while he's incarcerated. Oh and he can compare notes on how to commit the crime better with his associates while he's in jail.

It sure would do a lot to open some eyes to this failed system if what was going on was brought to everyone's attention!

D#mn! Now, where am I gonna get dat good herb from? Anyone know a good dealer with some nice sh*t? Seriously, he's just tryin' to make a livn' and you waste tax payers money lockn' him up over a plant grown naturally(not processed) for thousands of years.

Normally I might agree with you because I support decriminlaization BUT.....this assclown was ARMED with a deadly weapon and was operating a school zone!Kids today have enough to deal with without these guys selling them drugs!!!!

hard time for gun crime, this is what the people say they want, you get caught with herb and who really cares, throw a gun in the mix and now EVERYONE is concerned, I say hang him for the gun, the weed thing was just the vehicle to take a gun off the street and from a thug.
