Incident: Assault
Date of Incident: 5 September 2008
Location: 22000 Block of Royal Oak Road, Quantico, MD
Suspects: 17 YOA juvenile
Narrative: On 5 September 2008 at 11:12 PM, a deputy from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s responded to a facility in the 22000 block of Royal Oak Road for a report of an assault between two juvenile residents. During the investigation, the deputy concluded that one of the residents assaulted another and placed him in a choke hold. A referral was completed to the Department of Juvenile Services requesting charges against the aggressor in this incident.
The referred juvenile was left in the custody of a counselor at the facility.
Incident: Possession of Cocaine
Date of Incident: 6 September 2008
Location: Salisbury Blvd. at Philadelphia Ave. Salisbury, MD
Suspects:
1. William Lamont Ayers, 31, Salisbury, MD
2. Eron Marquis White, 28, Onancok, VA
Narrative: On 6 September 2008, a deputy from the Sheriff’s Office stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation. While speaking with the occupants, one of the deputies observed a small bag of what the deputy recognized as cocaine, was lying on the ground just outside the passenger window. A Wicomico County Sheriff’s drug K9 responded to the scene to conduct a scan of the vehicle, during which the K9 alerted positively for the odor of illegal drugs. During the subsequent search of the vehicle, and additional bag of cocaine was located inside the vehicle.
Both the driver, William Ayers, and the passenger, Eron White, were both arrested for the Possession of the Cocaine.
Ayers and White were transported to the Central Booking Unit at the Wicomico County Detention Center where they were processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. After an initial appearance both were released on Personal Recognizance.

Incident: Disorderly Conduct / Resisting Arrest
Date of Incident: 7 September 2008
Location: 7400 Block of Gumboro Road, Pittsville, MD
Suspects: Joseph L. Abbott, 38, Parsonsburg, MD
Narrative: On 7 September 2008 at 12:48 AM, Wicomico County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the report of a fight at the Station 7 Restaurant in Pittsville, MD. Upon their arrival, they discovered that the staff of the restaurant was attempting to restrain and remove one of the patrons, identified as Joseph L. Abbott of Parsonsburg. The deputies observed that Abbott was visibly intoxicated and resisting the staff’s efforts and was actually fighting against them and using profanity. When the deputies attempted to intervene in the altercation, Abbott refused to comply with their instructions and began swinging at them. The deputies utilized pepper spray to get Abbott under control and in handcuffs.
Once Abbott was taken into custody, he was transported to the Central Booking Unit at the Wicomico County Detention Center where he was processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. After an initial appearance, Abbott was released on Personal Recognizance.

Suspects: three 17 YOA juveniles
Narrative: On 8 September 2008 at 10:06 PM, a deputy from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office responded to a facility in the 22000 block of Royal Oak Road in Quantico, MD for the reported vandalism to two vehicles. Upon the deputy’s arrival, he was met by two counselors at the facility who informed the deputy that they discovered damage to their vehicles and then caught three residents attempting to sneak back into the building. During the investigation by the counselors and the deputy it was determined that these three juveniles were responsible for damaging the two vehicles.
The deputy completed a referral to the Department of Juvenile Services requesting the filing of criminal charges and left all three in the custody of their counselors.

Im guessing there is a juvenile correctional facility,or what the liberals would call "a home for troubled youth" at that address considering the nature of the police calls and the details within.Anyone know?

Is this the same U.S. Marshall Joe Abbott? Same Joe Abbott that used to be a WCDC correctional officer? Nah, it couldn't be. If it is, he'll have a job tomorrow with the U.S. Marshalls office and get his hands slapped in court IF it even goes to court. Gotta take care of those boys in blue.

That Joe Abbott was crazy that night. I was there at Station 7. He was out of control.
Get your facts straight idiot. Joe Abbott does not work for the U.S. Marshals. He is an Agent with Immigration & Customs Enforcement. If you bothered to check the Maryland Judiciary page you would see he is being charged and will be held accountable for his actions. On another note he is human and everyone makes mistakes this one does not reflect his true character if you know Joe. He is a dedicated law enforcement professional and an honest man.
I personally know Joe Abbott and know this totally out of his character. He is a hardworking man who unfortunately has made a mistake. Maybe when more info comes out, some of you will understand how this normally conscientious man made such a mistake. Until then, the people who know him believe in his true character and support him.
His judgment was clouded by alcohol and this article does not state all facts. We should not be bashing a man that goes above and beyond everyday he puts on his uniform. If this guy works for ICE that means he is part of the Department of Homeland Security, and that means he is a highly trained Law Enforcement Officer that puts his life on the line everyday to protect us all. It sounds like he made a huge mistake that all of us can all learn from. My guess is he will, and come out an even better Officer. Let’s not put him down, instead we can give him words of support to help him through this, and with that we give something back to this officer that has done so much for us. So Abbott, learn from this, and stay in the fight brother. For we have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.

It's so funny how everyone protects this guy. Yes everyone makes mistakes but if this was some random Joe Blow off the street it would be a different story. He made a HUGE mistake and he must pay for his actions. Clouded by alcohol or not he should know his role. Law Enforcement or not he should get punished just like any other person would. I am so tired of everyone making excuses for his actions because he is part of the law.
