Vote Early Vote Often

I was watching the news this morning and the topic that pulled my attention was voter fraud.

Voter fraud is a huge issue that is sweeping this nation, and is not isolated to small towns in rural areas.

As many of you know both my husband and myself have run for public office in Pocomoke City. We were also an integral part of the current Mayor, Mike McDermott's, Councilman Bruce Morrison, and Rob Clarke's campaign.

Although a very rewarding experience, we witnessed each and every time a political machine that is alive and well in Pocomoke City, that is simply invisible to the inexperienced average voter.

If a candidate steps to the plate in Pocomoke City and the 'Machine' does not like you, they come out in full force against you in ways you have never even thought of.

They start with courting the large black churches. They get a person (often influential) in the black church to have the candidate come and speak and tell the congregation all of the ways that they will help their community if elected.
Then they pass out absentee ballot applications to all the members.
Later that week they find out what day the applications were mailed from city hall and go door to door talking to the citizens and collecting the absentee ballots themselves. This way they are able to see who the citizen is voting for and if it is not their candidate they throw them away!
This enables them to know right from the begining exactly how many votes they will need on election day for their candidate to win.
Election Day arrives and registered voter list in hand members of the machine go and pick up people on the street(often using Church vans) and offer them a ride to the polls if they haven't voted yet then they do. If they have voted, then the member chooses a name on the list of a person who is registered but no longer lives at the address listed on the sheet.
There are dozens of multifamily homes within the city were literally over 100 people are listed on the rolls but no longer reside at a particular address.
The member then takes the individual to the polls and gives them the name and address to use.
The individual enters the polling place tells the poll worker the name and address and they get their ballot. They are not asked for an identification card unless a watcher challenges their identity.
In small town politics 25 of these votes could change an outcome of an election, heck 1 of these votes could change an outcome and it is this type of behavior that all citizens need to be vigiliant of.
1) If you are a resident in a neighborhood and know that a person has moved you can call the board of elections and tell them that a particular person no longer lives at a certain address and to take their names off of the list for that voting district.
2) If you move, be sure to change your address with the board of elections.
3) If someone comes to your home and asks you to fill out an absentee ballot, and you want to do so, go ahead, but insist on mailing it yourself. If you don't agree with them, your vote will not be cast.
4) Volunteer to work in the polls in your community, or volunteer to cull the registered voter list of names that no longer reside in your district.

The reason I have written this article is to not only inform you of the shenanigans that go on in small town politics, but as I stated earlier this a problem across the nation.

Leading this movement is an organization by the name of ACORN (Association of Community Organization for Reform Now) www.arcorn.org
This is a community activist organization that is under indictment for voter fraud in several states because of the very behavior that I have just described.
But you want to hear the clencher in this?
Guess who is the attorney of record for setting up this organization, and writing its policies?
Barrak Hussein Obahma!

Having worked in multiple campaigns I have seen first hand this type of behavior, and I hate to say that at all times this behavior has been conducted by the leaders of the black community. I have been so terribly dissapointed in the black leadership using race and ignorance to promote their personal agendas locally and now to see that these very same tactics are being used on a national level by a black man who is proclaiming to not be a racist.

We need to take a deep hard look at this. Read about this organization and read about those who have been affected both positively and negatively and draw your own conclusions. But through personal experience I am more than a little dissapointed.

Thanks for the info. Fraud and other crimes are prevelant in all facets of everything we do. This is the product of the devil. As long as we turn our heads, we will never get the Lord's help to rid our lives of this.

I ask everyone out there, please report any crime that you see. Nothing is too big or too small. If you really want our free lifestyle to continue, we must be dilligent to remove the bad ellements from our society. These people cannot continue to steal elections or steal our money for their own desires.
I applaud anyone who stands up and shines a light on corruption at any level. Maybe goodness can return and the blessings will follow.

Well, Republicans in Michigan are trying to use foreclosure notices to cancel people's right to vote, even though by law they are allowed to vote even if their home is in foreclosure. They know that victims of this crappy economy will be less likely to vote Republican. White evangelical churches throughout the country issue "voter's guides" that tell their parishioners how to vote, yet they continue to take tax breaks that claim they are non-partisan. So don't try to argue that this is something that only black people do! That is totally ridiculous, not to mention ignorant.
