My daughter LOVES to draw and color.She drew a life-size Squidward(if you have to ask who he is,you have no kids!) on her bedroom door in crayon and it was such an accurately good drawing I didnt have the heart to scold her for marking the door.I just make sure she has plenty of crayons,pencils,paper and coloring books handy.I encourage her to tell stories too.Kids need a creative outlet.
