My Wife was ONE of these people and "I" was another one. I know of many more but I'll leave this up to all of you to anonymously state your case here too.

It is the most horrible feeling in the world to feel like you've established trust with someone that you expect will have your back when things go wrong. I saved my boss's @$$ years ago by fixing a huge mess that was created before I'd started working there. To my face it was all praise and thank you, but then when things continued to go wrong in spite of our continued efforts, she pinned it all on me and I got fired...for not doing things I was never trained to do in the first place.
Seems to me its even worse when its an elected official pulling the rug out from under your feet. That's terrible!
The only one who believes that she ACTUALLY has any real power is her.
She wields her "power" in public, but can accomplish nothing with it, because she really has none.
When you can sign a $50,000.00 check with tax-payer money thats power, misguided yes, but still power.
Yes,it is sad, but when it comes to down to it, everyone is out for themselves and will do whatever it takes to save their own butt.
8:52 I don't believe the mayor has the direct power to sign large checks without the Council Presidents signature also. Read the charter on this, it says that, and yet Barrie got around it by wiring more than $16,000 to an attorney after the VP of Council refused to sign the check. Anyway, I am sure her good buddy Louise signed the check too.

Well then you got her right there. This has got to be a violation of laws. Someone should pursue this further.
Louise does not sign checks, she had a stamp made so that Pam Oland can just use the good ole RUBBER STAMP. She's to stupid to realize her name is on every check, with or without her approval and there isn't one damned thing that stupid old battle axe can do about it.
I have been screwed by the Mayor and many people know about it. I am hope and pray that her day will come. When she is led out of the GOB in handcuffs I want my phone to ring off the hook so I can be there to watch this historical event. I am a believer. What goes around comes around and Barrie your day will come.
I too was left out in the cold by her. I had to end up leaving Salisbury city from the pressure put on me by the higher ups after trusting her and then after she got what she wanted the pressure came on me. I went to her and told her of it and she couldn't even look at me and just kept making excuses, well it cost me my career. I am still paying. I will never trust anyone like that again, telling me they have Salisbury at interest, I found out it was just her personal vendetta that mattered. Salisbury has hurt since.
i'd like to hear something with more specifics. (so as to know what to look out for)
