Can Our Star Wars Shield Protect Us from a New Cuban Missile Crisis?

This from Saturday's Press TV

Iran’s Foreign Minister says Washington’s missile shield project is a realization of star wars on earth which is aimed to confine Russia.

“The US missile shield is aimed at bringing Russia under control,” Manouchehr Mottaki said in a meeting with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov in Moscow Friday.

The Iranian senior official described cooperation among the nations as the best way to thwart the ‘conspiracy of crisis’ in the region.
Lavrov for his part maintained that the US missile shield is aimed to contain Russia’s power, saying Moscow is ready to expand “security cooperation” with Iran and with countries in the Caucasus region to restore regional stability and tranquility.

“In addition to regional cooperation, dialogue with Europe can also be put on the agenda because of its potential and promises to establish stability and peace in the Caucasus region,” the Iranian minister continued.

Georgia launched a large-scale attack against South Ossetia last month, triggering a conflict which prompted Russia to send armed convoys and military combat aircraft to the breakaway region to protect South Ossetians, most of whom have Russian citizenship.

Georgia’s military intervention in the region resulted in the killing of Russian peacekeepers and dozens of civilians, according to the Kremlin.

Relations between Russia and the West have slumped to a tense post-Cold War low, particularly after the US sent its warships to the Black Sea to send what it calls humanitarian aid to Georgians.

Russia which blames the US for orchestrating the crisis in its backyard responded with similar measures.

On November 10-14, four Russian ships and 1,000 soldiers will hold joint military maneuvers with Venezuelan aircraft and submarines in the Caribean Sea.

The four ships will include the Peter the Great nuclear-powered guided missile cruiser and the Admiral Chabanenko anti-submarine ship, Nesterenko told a briefing in Moscow.

“The exercises will not be targeted against any third party,” Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Andrei Nesterenko said.

Russia has also announced that the country is renovating the Syrian port of Tartus permitting Moscow to develop and enlarge the port for a naval presence in the Mediterranean.

On Friday, Russian president Dmitry Medvedev compared the invasion of South Ossetia by Georgia to the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the United States.

“For Russia, August 8, 2008 was almost like September 11, 2001 in the United States.”

“The world changed almost immediately,” Medvedev added suggesting that the backwash of the short-lived armed conflict has a long way to go.

Wymzie. Stop taking those pills with grapefruit juice. Russia ain't shit these days, and it wouldn't surprise me if their surface ships/submarines sink on their own if they stray from their own dry docks. I don't know how to break this to all of you (including Palin who watches the Iron Bear across the Bering Straight with her Dora the Explorer binoculars)-but Russia sucks now. If they want to come on over and play the fool, we will kick in their skulls like the drunk, short guy who has had to much Jager and wants to take on a Mongol biker. Some of you guys don't know our true enemies (after watching this election nonsense which seems to have activated all the Kool-Aid crazies-no names of course)from your arse-holes!! But I am just wasting time here...I have fantasy football to win, and an Applebees to be ejected from.

Reese Bobby,
Have you considered the possibility that the U.S. Media is lying to you / us? Is it possible that Zionism is about to get its ass kicked? How many enemies can this Country really manage?

Anonymous said...

Have you considered I (and even more importantly to you being able to eat corn on the cob again-my children)am Jewish and if you would say that to me in person I would kick your ass and see if there is a jury that would actually convict me based on your ignorance?

Mr. Albero. As I think, I wonder if you will publish my challenging response to that ignorant, hate speech comment. That person has a right to say it-I support it based on the 'marketplace of ideas" concept put forth by Supreme Court justice Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr., but if you drape yourself in the First Amendment on your blog 9or a courtroom)-I would hope you are truly UNBIASED enough to allow me to debate that. Quite frankly, I read your blog for what YOU (and perhaps Mr. Harrison/Grand dad/Blutomom) say, but Ms. Wymzies comments tend to make me itch in the same fashion Shelton Lankford's crap does over on the DT. If we want to debate this-make sure the comment chain is open. Americans have a right to such passionate debate so that we can get to the REAL TRUTHS AND FACTS!!

What everyone fails to realize is that it's terrible that Russia and Iran and Venezuela are talking, aligning, and going through military operations together. This is something that we need to keep a close eye and ear on. It's not that Russia or one of these nations will attack us with their ships. They could be sharing technology. Russia could be using the military exercise as an excuse to bring weapons or nukes to this side of the world. They are still embarased by the fact that we beat them in the cold war. It's a stinging defeat, and underneath their skin, they would love to see us damaged.
I hope nobody is foolish enough to think that these countries don't want to see us hurt, any attack, any suffering, this would greatly please them. It doesn't matter how much good you do in the world, when your on top, someone will always be gunning for you.

Open your eyes, ears, and other senses. Man without vision shall perish. Take off the blinders and understand how the world really works. It's not all feel good like some would have you believe.

Keep telling yourself that crap Darryl (along with your other brother, Darryl):

1)Iran, Syria, Pakistan, Venezuela and North Korea, (although "Dear Leader")is now vegetable lasagna, are our TRUE enemies.

2)I just ran your hateful crap by one of the local rabbi's daughters (it isn't the first time I clued them in about your ignorant, hateful attitudes)-I am touching her shoulder right now...We (at least "I" will put my hand on a bible to confront your hate speech) have noticed your anti-semitic ramblings for about a year now....want to play two out of three on the record, big boy?

3)Everytime Wymzie goes "bat guano" I am going to tell you about it.

4 Doug, what can I say: The world needs ditch diggers too I guess...

BTW..Doug-porno is for the desperate losers around here who don't have a loving "significant other"(yourself?). I am watching the Judge Scalia feature on 60 minutes (but in your case I have a ball; would you like to bounce it?). Why don't you have the balls to debate me politically; right here on the "Number One Blog In Maryland" (think of it as me dropping my gloves on you at center ice at Madison Square Garden)-you remember what happened to Chuck Liddell recently; or have you been living in your mobile home closet too long. Show me what you got big boy!! I know I have at least a dozen people here watching football that are very very very very curious regarding your response (and Mr. Albero's willingness to let us debate you in a public forum without sanction). Say my name any time, baby!!

REESE, BEEN MARRIED 24 YEARS. have home and business. to tell you the truth id rather take some hits and wait for my wife to get off work. i dont give a shit about politics, its a waste of my time. and i would never eat at a chain store. you and your ego seem to be getting along just fine. by the way in about 6/7 years russia will of developed a means to bring all their oil from up north into main stream sales. take a mirror and yell in a canyon and youll satisfy yourself.

Anonymous said...

You and Russia have a lot in common...Clueless, old, irrelevant douchebags that really have no effect on current American domestic/foreign policy. Why don't you try to be anti-semitic again-WE (you guys didn't anticipate Mr. Albero had dedicated jewish readers watching sunday football, did you?)are still waiting for you to either be a confirmed Nazi, or a routine coward (much of the betting action is on you being an irrelevant little rat turd) during the half-time break. Mr. Albero-this is the wrong time, and wrong week, to have an illiterate hate speech person on your blog. Heavens knows when anyone, such as Barney Fife here, might end up begging for a nice, effective jewish lawyer (like say next week some time). Maybe we should just let karma rock his mobile home wheels, huh? Check yourself, ditchdigger.

If you try to act like a fool I will research your stuff: "Wilkerson, 63 (a few years ago according to this googled article), loves his metal detector. He is recovering from a brain aneurism." Gee, If you don't publish my other post challenging this guy, how about this comment. What a surprise..........(this is from a DT article like three years ago by Brice Stump/Feb. 13, 2005)). Hmmmm. Why might we be reluctant to listen to you, huh?

Anonymous said...

We as the local Jewish community hope you distance yourself (or at least produce OUR written counter-arguments, already submitted to you). Mr. Albero, we have quite an organized party reading Mr. Wilkerson's comments. We hope you will dignify yourself by publicly distancing yourself from such hateful ignorance. We (as a group) often admire your challenging voice; but hope you disclaim the ignorance of the noted reader. You would be surprised how many people watch your blog-but will not tolerate this type of BS-ever....Our crowd is awaiting a response prior to the game's conclusion at midnight.

Reese Bobby,
The media is lying to us. You may not realize it, I didn't know it for a long time. Also, Zionism is a lot different from regular Judaism. If you are a Zionist, then so be it. But you really do have some very aggressive attitudes toward other people. Your hatred will paralyze you from accepting the truth when you hear it. The only thing under that temple is an ancient Freemasonic Cave. There is a lot of wickedness in Zionism, and global military domination of the people of the earth is not a thing in which to express pride. It is wicked and evil. Don't defend it. Fear it.

Now that I have crushed a fantasy football opponent, a cognitively challenged commenter, and 8 Sam Adams (maybe 9 because I have several points); let me now get to a little tactical stuff that bothered me before kick-off. This whole load of guano started earlier today when some author thought socialist boogie-men were lurking under their bed:

1)The Soviet (no wait- that was when Rocky fought Drago) lacks sophistication, and has always been the equivalent of a bus-stop bully with crooked teeth and vodka breath.

2)The Soviet (oooops, I did it again, I played with your 1980s heart) is actually acting like an unstable middle child now (Peter Bradyvitch?)because all of us just watched China make them look like choads during the Olympics-You did see the Opening ceremony spectacle and the pristine venues (i.e water cube), correct?

3) Because of Number 2; The bruin must "act a fool" in some way to get our attention so that we will continue to cover their European Plain asses, and pay for a great portion of the International Space Station (which is the only milieu where their ICBMs still can be commanded and controlled effectively if we propose "Star Wars" defensive measures).

4) The "Dear Leader" in North Korea has become vegetable lasagna due to brain surgery (can anyone else here relate to that?). Expect China, not Russia, to step in and offer a 40 mm cannon/AK-47 backrub to any and all nations who purport to hate us. Surprisingly, their established nuke program most likely heads heads east to Pakistan, and West to Syria in disguised milk/water/Red Cross OTR trucks. RPGs will be given like bottle rockets on July 4th.

5) Remember the Kursk? Some of you have travelled in a leaky, dysfunctional RV, correct? Hint-Hint; the naval budget just ain't what it used to be...ain't what it used to be..ain't what it used to be..

6) Big Red tried to yanky our wanky in the Pacific (Sea of Japan) as well recently. The Pacific package was fronted by the Varyag missile cruiser-dubbed the most supreme aircraft carrier killer afloat. The exercise included live fire drills and simulations of troop insertion in preparation for russian coastline defense/American west coast offensive landings. Bring it on comrade...that is what our tactical nukes were budgeted for.

7)Oscar and Typhoon class subs have been off our Atlantic and Pacific coasts for years...they understand the concept of mutually assured destruction, and have neither the balls or long-term committment to come out and play. Plus, due to budget constraints, they are probably leaking like a Ford Pinto.

8)Kanye West is a complete jerk-Not cold war related-the dude is just a jerk to get into a fight on the 9/11 anniversary on an airport concourse.

God...I could go on and on-but, let's see what Doug has to say; Who knows, I could be so so so arrogant that I am actually the one who is clueless..Maybe Wymzie will help him out..

Mr Wilkerson, if you don't give a shit about politics I sincerely hope you're not going to vote. Not caring implies you haven't bothered to educate yourself on the issues so you're hardly qualified to pull the lever.

*NB The lipstick on a pig isn't debacle isn't big news. Neither is Palin's sex appeal. Let us please move on to something of substance.

For cryin' out loud it is "would have" not "would of." "Would've" would have sufficed and is probably where so many get confused.

Tomorrow we can discuss "then" vs "than." "Their," "they're," and "there" are on the lesson plan for Tuesday.

dude, i couldnt care less about grammer and spelling, you get the point. ditch digger huh, people like you are why we have friendly fire incidents. as far as politics and politicians are concerned its a joke. its hollywood. that would make you carrot top. drove home to didnt you? your a fool. an arrogant fool. its easy to be cocky when the u.s.a. keeps the rest of the world from crushing your homeland isnt it.

Anonymous said...

russia is just "playing dead" they are raking money in from Iranian oil and rebuilding their military

Anonymous said...

I am confused about how Cuban missiles have anything to do with the zionistic movement.

Anonymous said...

Mr. Wilkerson, sweety, anon 3:04 a.m. here.

I think you've confused me with a few others here. My homeland is the USA.
Descendant of hard working immigrants.

I've yet to see anything of substance come from you as you seem to be stuck on hollow insults.

I particularly like you giving me credit for friendly fire.

That would appear to indicate that you think friendly fire is all about getting rid of someone you disagree with and making it appear to be an accident. I really don't think the military works that way.

I'd like to think the average soldier would take offense to your comment denigrating their service and their honor.

As for politics being the same as Hollywood and a big joke I'd agree with you on that sentiment when it comes time for elections. The rest of the time it is rather important and perhaps you should learn to take notice of what is going on in the world and how it might affect you or your loved ones.

Anon 7:03
Of course you are confused. Everything is intentionally confusing, hidden, and difficult to understand. That is the way the Zionists want the world. New World Order. Order out of chaos. As above, so below.

Anonymous said...

Mr. Wilkerson, I think you've confused me with some of the other posters in this thread. I'm anon 3:04 and that was my first post.

Your contributions seem rather limited to insults over substance.

My homeland is the USA, family arrived here some time in the early 1800s from Saxony Germany. I don't consider myself a German American, I'm American.

I do give a shit about this country yet I can just see you spewing the tired ol' America haters need to leave the country line after this goes a little further.

Giving a shit about this country includes giving a shit about its politics. Keeping your head in the sand over it is hardly patriotic. Nor is bleating on about how people of different persuasions are fools just because they don't view the world through your eyes.

I particularly like the notion that you think people like me are responsible for friendly fire. Are you implying that Pat Tillman had it coming? Are you implying that our military is filled with unstable individuals willing to take matters into their own hands over ideological disagreement?

Keep on speaking so everyone can witness a real fool.

Regarding the original question apparently the Pentagon's former cheif weapons tester, Phil Coyle, claims the system wouldn't protect us under a nuclear attack invovling multiple targets.

So this gazillion dollar toy is currently only useful for zapping spy satellites out of the sky.

Good job no kids go to bed hungry in this country.
