PAC-14 - The Smell Isn't Going Away

Try as they might, the smell isn't going away at PAC-14. Despite pulling the plug on their planned presentation before the Wicomico County Council, the disastrous performance at Monday night's Salisbury Council meeting will linger for quite a while.

It's obvious that a few individuals with a bunker mentality think that by holing up the public will simply go away. I for one will not!

Refusing to answer a few basic questions on Monday night only leads to more questions. For example ...

... Since a group of individuals without the legal authority to act, including PAC-14 board chair and SU Vice President Betty Crockett and Salisbury City Administrator John Pick, have chosen to go around the legally appointed board of directors, how is PAC-14 paying its bills?

... Who passed the PAC-14 budget since Ms. Crockett has refused to call any board meetings for over a year?

... Who hired the consultant who put together this grand scheme to raise cable rates?

... Why do Mike Goodson of PAC-14, Pick and others involved in this fiasco continue to stonewall both elected officials AND the taxpayers about who serves on the now infamous "transitional task force"?

These are just a few more questions. I am confident that more will come up each day that these individual continue to hide information from the public as to how their money is being spent.

A public resource, funded by taxpayer dollars, that performs a true public service, PAC-14 has unnecessarily become the subject of suspicion because of the over-reaching and secrecy of a few - to the detriment of us all.

Don't overlook the County's complicity in the cover-up. There's and odor of Slick Rick Trick in the air.

Yes, but if we didn't have the revenue cap, all this concern over funding anything would disappear. Yuk,yuk.

You stupid people supporting the destruction of the revenue cap are the very people chasing the money away from this area. This county gets more money out of my pocket than it is due. I am a business owner and pay my fair share of taxes the problem lies within how the tax payers money is spent. Lets go back and do some house cleaning and get the dead weeds pulled out of our county. Then have a real audit so we all can see where true cuts can be made in order to get back control of spending. If we were not living in a tax and spend county there would be more money for the purpose it was originally budgeted for. The tax cap was put in place by the PEOPLE of this county because WE THE PEOPLE are sick of being OVER TAXED!

How stupid can a business be to not have their "flow chart" of command available. When I was in radio over a decade ago I had to write out in detail every commercial change etc. Keeping your records straight is not the hardest thing and the idiots pleading for money should have at least the basics in order, your advisor should have seen this, At this point I would sign a letter for you until you do some house keeping and maintenance.

That sure is a strange control set up at PAC-14. Who did the selecting for the committee? Sounds like the mayor had her hand in bigtime, through Dunn perhaps? Before we approve this ComCast inrease for PAC-14, I think we should have an unbiased group of citizens take a look at everything!
