Not to mention that the original agreement was that the developers would donate the property for the land. All of a sudden the city was purchasing the "donated" land for a pretty penny.
And get this. . . the City/County planners have attempted to funnel all of the development into the metro core - (inside the Rt 50 Bypass Ring) - and what have they accomplished.
What they have done can be compared to an over inflated ballon that is about to explode.
Just look at the traffic on Beaglin Park Drive. The conjestion is unbearable . . .not to mention unsafe for the 3 high schools - (Parkside, Bennetts). What a freakin nighmare.
The word Propaganda is right.
We ARE paying for this to happen. Robbing Peter to pay Paul is NOT letting the taxpayers off the hook.
Here's a question for people like Barrie=Gary...
If growth(your way) is so great, why did people flee Baltimore? Why do all major urban areas have slums in the middle of them? (And minor ones like us, too?)
