Carrie Samis was an exemplary education curator. I am not a relative or even a friend of hers but did have the professional and personal pleasure to plan and implement lessons with her. Children in many counties benefitted from her knowledge, commitment and willingness to work long hours to prepare meaningful instruction for them. All of us found her to be bright and extremely articulate. What did she do wrong? I honestly can't imagine her being ineffective in teaching kids.

The interns were her students too, and she let them down. Very few people are as accomplished working with kids as she was, and it is a loss to them.
