Today I read an article on InfoWars.com about Texas State Police Officers holding down suspected DUI citizens and taking their blood using a needle in order to obtain evidence right on the side of the highway! WTF???
What ever happened to innocent until proven guilty?
Used to be if you were suspected of DUI, and you refused a breathalyzer, the officer would take you to a nearby hospital or a licensed phlebotomist and draw your blood to make their case.
Now the State of Texas is bypassing all of this, and sending their officers to a 20 hour training program to obtain blood from suspects. Most phlebotomists are trained up to one year in a clinical environment that involves licensing and certification.
This move by the Texas State Police is being called the most aggressive assault on the rights of Americans ever experienced thus far.

Please read this and see what is happening to our civil liberties. I have a friend who is diabetic and when her blood sugar is low you would swear she has been drinking.
I have also know another person who was involved in a car crash and killed and because she was a college student the first thing everyone said was "oh I bet she was drunk" . Wrong! Autopsy discovered she had slipped into a diabetic coma.
Texas has gone too far on this one.

If you will go back a couple of days on this blog you have to read the article I posted Utility Workers in California, Colorado and Arizona, being trained as Stazi. This article is directly from infowars and describes how even an innocent utility worker is being trained to turn in erroneous infmormation about average citizens for no reason.
This information is being turned in to local police that is then compiled into data bases called 'Fusion Centers' (I'll write more on these later) and then being passed on to bigger agencies that are creating personal profiles on as many Americans as possible. Especially ones that do not agree with this happening. They go under the guise of course of looking for terrorist activity, but to disagree with this type of acivity now makes you and I a terrorist.
Get ready for the New and Improved Police State People! The framework has been laid, now it is implementation time.

don't drive drunk and you won't be put into the situation of having to have your blood taken. Obay the laws then the police will not have to take your blood. Also how far away are hospitals from each other in texas.
You don't have to go all the way to a Hospital just to take blood.

ive searched the constitution and i dont see this in there anywhere. i hate drinking and driving more than you can possibly know, but this is in my opinion a violation of my constitutional rights. lets not force the car manufacturers to equip all cars with devices that would not allow someone to drive under the influence, even if they had to raise the price of their car a bit to pass the addittional cost on the consumer, lets violate the civil liberties of the american people, "its cheaper for us", come on people, who do you think really runs this country? the president, the congress, not even close.

While I agree that this is going to far (officers with little training should not be poking anyone). Marylands law are too liberal. Refusal should not be an option. Other states will not let you refuse. They just hold you down and let a QUALIFIED PERSON take it. Drining and driving is just reckless and takes to many lives

Physically taking someones blood without their consent while they are conscious is the same as beating them to make an incriminating statement. A violation of their 5th amendment rights. OK if I refuse the breathalyzer, take my license away for life if you have to. I understand that driving is a priviledge, but refusing to give up information which will incriminate you is your right. There is no way this is even remotely right. Doesn't this remind anyone of some old USSR/KGB movie? This is what our forefathers fought and died for? I don't think so.
1) Sure you're innocent until proven guilty. When they take your blood, they're establishing whether you're guilty or not, idiots.
2) Low OR High sugars can cause you to be disoriented. High sugar levels act as a diuretic, which can cause dehydration and shock-like states. High glucose levels give off the smell of fructose or alcohol in SOME cases.
3) Al Sharpton & Jesse Jackson won't protest this until some poor black man or woman had their blood taken (and most likely drunk). If it was all white people or Mexicans being affected, you can bet your ass they won't give a crap. They're racist dicks anyways. The only thing Sharpton can do well is extort money from businesses.
