An Interesting Coment About Gary Comegys

I can tell you for sure he is not a current SFD firefighter. He like many before him use the SFD membership label for political benefit.
Mr Comegys walked away from the SFD in 2002 when Station 2 went to war with the City. He claimed to have no part in it and bad mouthed Station 2 . Well at 1 am in the morning while on a call he was part of the movement and by sun up he was in Barrie's world.

Soon after, he joined Station 16 and dropped by for a few hours each week to show his face. After he was elected he was never seen again. While he was there you could he him and Gordo in a constant huddle planning strategy for the council race and agreeing on trade offs if he were elected.

Well history has shown a cushy relationship between Comegys and the SFD. Millions have been funneled through the SFD and Comegys stands poised to run for Mayor with Gordo as the campaign manager. Get the picture.

I can not tell you how many hours that his SHA truck sat at Station 2 during the day over the years. I can tell you that he has been on the hot seat several times and an SHA supervisor has saved his large behind. He hides his truck behind his house on most days and can be seen cruising around checking on SFD doings anytime. The funniest thing I ever saw was when Bubba's boss called Station 2 one day on the speaker phone. When asked where he was, Bubba replied at my office. The man on the other end asked if he was invisible because he was siting at his desk and wanted to know why his truck was at station 2. He had photos and times of previous infractions.

Well the State has proven to be soft and allow this to continue, so we should expect no different in the future.

Does Gordy really want Comegys for Mayor?? Even he knows what an idiot Comegys is.

This guy is an absolute Dork, and he really wants to be the mayor. Well, good luck on that impossible task!

3:12 We can do the "Bubba-Sightings" the same way we did the "Bridge up again" sightings.

If Donny Drewer had stones he would see that Bubba was canned.

My wife works at the County office building downtown. She saw "Bubba" in there so much she thought he didn't work for SHA anymore.

The problem is that Bubba use's the system like every body else does that works for the State of Maryland. They have to many days off, paid sick days, holidays and less not forget the vacations. You work one year for state and get 2 weeks vacation, all holidays off 12 of them but not sure now. Plus sick days another 10 days... So i's no wonder the state employees don't do any work, we are paying for them to ride around...

As a Retiree from the State of MD I will say They have some benefits that are good. But don't classify all in this group. The Good Ole Boys get the promotions to cushy jobs and get away with anything they want to do and Donnie Drewer is one of them because he protects his Boys until he starts feeling the heat. SO blame the Good Ole Boys for not doing any work. By the way some of your numbers are wrong so you might want to do more in depth research.

Look guys. . . it all starts from the top.

All of you know out there that Comegy and others don't do enough State work to pay for the tires on their State vehicles.

It all starts from the top. Donny Drewer is a terrible administrator because I've personally seen Comegy many times out galavanting on the public dole. There are many many more State workers employed at the State Highway that do the same thing.

I'm with the Anonymous posting 3:12. And I hope that we nail the others employed with the State Highway Administration.

What an absolute disasterous agency for the taxpayers. If ever there were to be a grade assigned I would give them an E.

That is an excellent idea. Many of us has cell phones so take a pic and send it to Joe's phone or email address.

How about requesting Gary's schedule and days missed from work from the State through a FOIA request. It's all about waste and saving taxpayer money.

Joe, you say a "cushy" relationship exists between SFD and Bubba, with Gordo to be his campaign manager in his bid for mayor. But if my memory serves, didn't SFD (or maybe it was the vollies), for the first time ever, endorse candidates last year, and it wasn't Gary? Seems to me Cohen and Spies and (gag) Smith ("I'm not aligned") were endorsed! I hope they have the sense to show Bubba for what he is, a liar and an all-around crud.

Back in the day around station 2 bubba was called "Baby Duck". When he arrived in the state truck with that little yellow bubble light on top we said "Here comes baby duck in the bubble light truck". God if I only had a dollar for everytime I've said that over the years.
