This is actually a great thing. However, shouldn't BLOGGERS be suing the MSM for taking their stories? It should be known that I do give many of these stories to WMDT & WBOC. However, in light of other discussions about the MSM going after Bloggers, it just doesn't sem fair.
Here's how I can PROVE to you many stories are copied from Salisbury News. Just watch us post an article and watch other MSM sources put up something very soon AFTER it is posted here.
I get calls all the time from people who laugh because no sooner did I get off the phone to complete a story and post it, minutes later WBOC is calling my contacts asking what's up about my story.
Most importantly, the reason "I" give up this information is because "I" feel it's important for it to get out to the public any way it can. It does not bother me if they get it here first, (and believe me, they do) and use this information to educate the public. However, if it ever gets to a pissing match like it has elsewhere between Bloggers and the MSM, it will end immediately. I have very good contacts at both places and IMHO I don't believe that's going to happen. Besides, I'm the one doing most of the giving, believe me on tat one.

The only MSM here that would get into a pissing contest with you is the Daily Times.
For whatever their faults, WBOC and WMDT have enough class to know that good story sources come in a lot of different packages.
The Daily Times has Barrie Tilghman Syndrome. It thinks the only good ideas on the planet can come from them. Like her, they persist in delusions that they are good and stone any one who criticizes them.

Well... this is what you do, and that is what they do. You communicate online and their main source of communicate is on the television.
Either the blog gets a nightly tv show, or just accept that your stories will be picked up, and shared to others.
I don't understand your point. MSM isn't "copying" a story if you post it and they call your resources to find out what is going on.
Thats called reporting, not copying. Just because you break the news doesn't mean you own it. All news media has worked this way since before you were born.
Why can't you just be proud when you beat the local news instead of taking it too far and somehow claiming they've done something immoral/illegal?
Trust us Joe, the residents of this city owe you a public achievement award for your never ending pursuit of wrong doings for absolutely nothing. There are a lot of "Evil Doer's" here. Of course that will never happen until and I do say "Until" the mare and her minions are gone. That means next election.
Joe....As you well know some people are leaders, and others are merely followers, such as Shanie, other FOB's and some local media. It does look like they are being forced to keep their feet to the fire just to keep up with you.
WBOC and the Daily Times were stealing stories from each other long before the World Wide Web even existed. You're a part of a time-honored tradition now!
