Question of the Day, Sun 6/8

Do you go to church? Every Sunday? Every holiday? Sporadically?

I don't feel as though I need to go to a building filled with other people to commune with God. I talk to God anywhere and at anytime. The best places to call church is when your by yourself out in nature around you, I feel that is what God intended.

Organized religion is a money machine. I go to "church" every day when I wake up with a smile on my face and a song in my heart. live the way you ought to, be good and kind, and there's never any reason to go to what my Father refers to as the Sunday Morning Social Club.

YES! Almost every Sunday

We go 1-2 times a month, mainly because my son is acolyte for the 2nd service.
He's just so darn cute!
But really, Sunday is the only day I feel that I can really sleep in. Oh well... there is always next week.
Have a Happy Day and don't forget next Sunday Fathers Day @ the Shore Birds. Hopefully it won't be too hot!

Never. For the same reason I don't plead with the tooth fairy or Santa Claus.

Amen 8:44 & 8:54. Too much hipocrisy and greed. Nature is the place to celebrate.

Attending church, or which church to attend, is a personal decision. However, most of what I see here are excuses rather than reasons. Hopefully, if there is a vail that hides the truth, someday the bible and friends will reveal the only truth that really matters.

I attend most every Sunday, with few exceptions.

I was not able to go last week, due to an emergency call received Sunday morning. The proverbial ox was in the mire, so to speak.

Not since I went into recovery for Catholicism.

I have found that my life is a lot better since I started attending church and turning things over to the Lord. I don't have to be in church to have a personal relationship with Jesus but it is something I now look forward to on Sunday morning.

Has anyone here ever heard of the Great Commission? About not forsaking the assembly? Or the fact that there is only one way to heaven - that is through Jesus Christ? Or about being baptized for the remission of your sins, and you will receive forgivness, and that worshiping the creation, instead of the Creator, is exactly backwards? God doesn't need you to do Him a favor when you show up when you feel like it. The choice is yours. The scriptures reveal it all. You can find a bible anywhere - the choice is up to each of us. Just remember there's only one truth - there can't be many. The Creator of the universe has made it possible for you to find him through study, worshiping together, spreading the gospel and avoiding things you know are bad for you. No wonder this country is in the condition it's in now. More evidence of public school failure.
