The daily times gets it wrong again. they make it sound like the Shorebirds brought back the fireworks, when i know this was the work of the people over at Clearchannel, the Clearchannel people are the ones that met with the county and got approval. they are only mentioned as a sponsor...was it the daily times professional jealousy or just their incompetence?

Mackes and the Shorebirds are now trying to look like heroes when in essence they placed financial demands on a non-profit organization that could not reasonably met. The Jaycees would have been bankrupt if last year was not cancelled!!! Now the Shorebirds and Mackes as well as the Daily Times make it look like the Jaycees were to blame. One word....KHARMA!!!!!

People ON WELFARE who are perfectly capable of going to work and making a living like the rest of us have to do, AND people who get welfare and independence cards generation after generation after generation.

Last evening I stood behind a woman at the grocery store who was using her WIC coupons with two screaming kids (she was obviously a single mother) ) and each item had to be rang up separate - regular vs WIC item! And there I am standing with cash in hand!

The apathy that has invaded my soul and outlook as I look for a job that will allow me to meet my responsibilities, this does not mean a vacation or new car. However all should be reminded there is an antidote to most poisons I will search.
