On this date the Salisbury Police Department was able to make contact with the next of kin of the victim of the homicide that occurred on Saturday, May 17. As a result, the identity of the victim may be released. The victim of the homicide was identified as: Emmanuel (nmn) Johnson, 34 years of age Mardela Springs, Maryland

On May 20, 2008 at approximately 11:10 am, Officers of the Salisbury Police Department received a call to respond to the Riverside Pharmacy on Riverside Drive for the report of a fraudulent prescription. Upon arrival, the officers were advised that employees of the store had received a prescription from the below listed suspect that was found to be fraudulent. The officers located the suspect in the parking lot of the pharmacy and the suspect was placed under arrest.

ARRESTED: Lynn Robinson Burse, Jr., 42 years of age Salisbury, Maryland

CHARGES:
Forgery of a prescription
Uttering a forged prescription
Unlawful attempt to obtain a prescription drug
Fraudulent use of a copy of a prescription
Possession of a fraudulent prescription

DISPOSITION: Released to Central Booking CC # 200800017734

On May 20, 2008 at approximately 3:55 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police Department arrested the below listed subject for the theft and sale of aluminum. An investigation regarding the theft of bulk aluminum from a business in Salisbury led to the recovery of a quantity of the aluminum and the identification of the suspect. A quantity of the stolen aluminum was located at a local recycling plant and returned to the owner. The investigation revealed that the thefts by the suspect had been occurring for a period of time.

On May 20, 2008 at approximately 4:54 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle occupied by the below listed two (2) suspects for traffic violations on First Street. During the traffic stop, officers observed a suspicious bag in the vehicle. A closer inspection of the bag revealed eleven (11) smaller bags of suspected marijuana. During a closer inspection of the two (2) suspects, Officers located a glass tube containing twenty-three (23) individual pieces of suspected crack/cocaine on suspect # 1’s person. Additionally, suspect # 2 was also wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant for drug charges.

On May 21, 2008 at approximately 11:01 am, Officers of the Salisbury Police Department Community Action Team executed a search and seizure warrant at a residence on Newton Street in Salisbury. Located during the execution of the search warrant was a quantity of suspected crack/cocaine and related paraphernalia. The residence was occupied by the below listed suspect:
