Today's DT says that the County Council has put money back that Pollitt cut for road work. The City Council should do the same with Barrie's budget, which has more money for her office than for road replacement. And why does the City Attorney get so much more money?
The County is making Ed Baker an in house attorney. What will his salary be? If he's getting paid less to represent the County than Wilbur is getting to represent the City, I'd say Wilbur needs to be fired and the City needs to hire in house counsel. Baker is a much better attorney, and is highly respected among his peers. Can you say the same for Wilbur?

Certainly all of these proposed cuts make good sence and should be made, along with others, like the $8,000 increase for Lore, in the queens office. Other employees are getting just 2% raises and she doesn't deserve more. I would also cut the mayors increase down from the $25,000 approved by her, to a normal 2% increase too. And I'm sure there are other areas that need cutting!

Good shot of Wilbur with his head down. He should hang his head in shame when he is paid that much and loses his cases, make poor decisions and doesn't know answers to half the questions asked of him.
I tell you, it is scary as hell when you think of the caliber of the people in key positions to make policy in this city. Clean House. Barrie, Pam, Lore, Wilbur, Comegys, Smith and Shields gotta go.
