I am told there has been a third murder in Salisbury from a drive by shooting last night at the Bottle Factory in Salisbury. Allegedly this time it involved a 21 year old woman.

The victim, 21-year-old Kiaira Kishay Jones of Salisbury, was shot once in the upper chest. She was transported to Peninsula Regional Medical Center, where she died of her injuries.
Police say it appears to have been a drive-by shooting, and they believe they have found the vehicle involved. However, no suspects have been identified or arrested.
The investigation is continuing. Anyone with information should contact the Salisbury Police Department at 410-548-3165.
Thank God people have have been pushing for more police officers to be hired in Salisbury. Who do we contact to be a part of that drive?
maybe one of their officers already talked to a "key" witness, then let them go without getting any information from them. wow!!! way to go spd, keeping it real alright. lol, what a joke.

It's time for the Wicomico County Sheriff's Department to take over all municipal police agencies in teh County and be the lead law enforcement agency. The Salisbury Police Department is a joke and they shouldn't be duplicating the service of other police agencies. Isn't this part of the excuse the mare is giving for a tax differential? Citizens you need to speak up and make your voice heard!!

A SPD Officer was in the next parking lot when the shots were fired. Let's see, BANG, BANG, BANG, that must be a vegicle backfiring, right?
I understand that Joe but are they accountable? They can only react to what happens. If people don't even fear the police that are just a few feet away, we have not chance.
I feel bad for this girl but I find it hard to believe that this was random.

It's called Crime Prevention, something the ragtag Mayberry officers like Steve E. know nothing about. Many SPD officers are just in it because they can't get a job anywhere else. The WCSO is the Premiere Policy Agency in the County.

Mr. Ewing, I don't think anyone is bad mouthing the police. They may be bad mouthing the SPD, but not ALL of it's officers. Subtle threats like yours is what gives good cops a bad name.
What are the odds that this crime is related to drug dealing? Most of the people in our prisons now are there for Non-Violent drug offenses. How many of the violent crimes we hear about are related to drug dealing?
The drugs must be stopped at the BORDER! Please get behind a movement to close the borders.

Sounds to me like the owners of the Bottle Factory should shut down Hip-Hop nites on Thursdays (WBOC just reported that the owners indicated that Thursdays at the club were trouble). Looks like Salisbury is becoming the new D.C. Looks like this Mayor could care less about providing more positions for Police. I stay away from Salisbury at night. You couldn't pay me any amount of money to drive down there after dark.
First of all Joe, the officer in the parking lot next door was a fruitland cop! So an apology to SPD would be appreciated...second of all the car was found moments later and the suspect was arrested moments later and held on 4 additional warrants. He is in jail and will be charged with the murder. I will also mention the car and suspect were not found by one of the "elite" WCSO deputies.
Its always the non LEOs who sit on here talking about this agency is the elite or that agency sucks...but you wont here many officer/deputies/troopers say this. Not unless their heads are really swollen! You may here that the way agencies are run are poor or great, but rarely does it get so personal.
I agree with Ewing, unless you are a LEO, please stop pretending you know all about it, and who sucks and so forth. You want to judge i can show you were to sign up!
About a month or so ago was when some people made a home invasion and robbed some drug dealers, remember? Their home was ivaded but they didn't take anything? Well I doubt anyone would tell the police the invaders stole a bunch of drugs and money from them.
I told my boss, you watch, in a few weeks you are going to see a few murders. I wonder if they are connected in some way?

Unfortunately the War on Drugs is an abyssmal failure in this country.It reminds me of gangsters like Al Capone back during Prohibition and we all know how that turned out.The most disturbing thing is that most of the thugs who are shooting people should have been in jail for previous offenses-read the court briefs sometime and see what I mean.If you are repeatedly locked up for violent crimes you should get serious time.

Who is making money here?
The government employees from the top down, and the high level drug dealers. The street dealers are making enough to support a habit. The mark up isn't anywhere near lets say what a furniture stores markup is.
Just like prohibition this war on drugs is what is causing the violence.
De-Criminalize the crap and there will be no impotice to be a dealer.
There will be no more wild west excitement that so easily entices the punk kids who are involved on the street level. There would be no more big bucks in it for the higher level dealers, thus providing no need for 'drive by's'.
