Captain Investment Back On The P&Z Agenda!

If you'll recall, the last time we posted something on this group we packed the house and at the last second the Developer backed out and they're back on the agenda once again. Of course they make it difficult for people to attend, being that it's scheduled for 2:00 in the afternoon but I believe there will be a similar crowd once again.

Scheduled for April 17, 2008

Items starting at 2:00 (5th item)

"City Subdivision Plat"
CAPTAIN INVESTMENTS
Camden Ave. (between Pinehurst & Somerset)

Who is Captain's Investments and why are they so determined to cram in
another house on this parcel?

Below are some links to previous articles we wrote on the Captain Investment Group.

Another very nice single-family area in Salisbury goes down the chute ala Barrie and her troops (zoning director, city attorney).

Let's hope the local residents there will speak up during the public comment at the City Council meeting tomorrow night as well as during the hearing this Thursday.

I'm pretty sure Doug Church is part of captain investments. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but Doug owns those apartments on the plaza and the actual owner listed on the property taxes is Captain Investments.

Salisbury could save money by doing away with the Planning and Zoning Commission, and it couldn't be any worse.

I bet that "Captain Investments" come back next time to do student housing, just like the Hearne Farm.

WTF do they plan on doing with this lot, that is the REAL issue. Mitchell David now has a personal vendetta against the homeowners on this street for opposing his greedy scheme to further violate R10 zoning, as he is doing by operating an illegal apartment house already. He is represented by T.J.Maloney, who is scoring a twofer by screwing over his ex wife whose yard backs up to this landlocked lot, it is an incredibly stupid thing to do. No home owner on the 2 steets is in favor of this, there is absolutely NO market for a single family (the only thing allowed in this zoning) home that is surrounded on 2 sides by rentals--there are hundreds of homes already for sale in Salisbury and in this area. Mitchell David you are a greedy SOB, what do you care living in Ocean Pines and thumbing your nose at Salisbury. Boycott The Globe, he owns this bar in Berlin. You have not heard the last of your opposition pal, no matter how many times you sneak this back on the agenda during the day when most of us have to work. Congrats to YOU T.J. for continuing to be the adulterous lying thief that covered up a friends heroin OD so carefully. Wow, look at your live in girlfriends pupils!!

You and the others who want to stop this scam "better get a goin' if you want to make a showin'" -- start by calling the head of the P-Z Commission (Les Callette) -- she's in the phone directory, I think. Speak up at the City Council meeting on April 14, not just the hearing on the 17th.

And those who voted for Louise Smith should contact her and say it's time she did something for you.

anon 7:56 PM--the best thing Louise could do for EVERYONE (not just those who voted for her) is resign!

Did you read Wilbur's opinion?! When will someone collect all his BS opinions and decisions and turn him into the State Bar? He is not protecting the City's interest. Once again, he's giving a weasley opinion full of holes for the slumlords to sneak through. Also, he doesn't want anyone to look at the illegal, non-conforming use of the boarding house on the property already. We'll just ignore that it was never legally subdivided and let them continue the illegal use, plus increase the density of the lot. I really hope Karma bites him in the butt soon! He really needs to reap what he's sowing.

Quite often people post here and say this should be done or that should be done or someone needs to do this or someone needs to do that. Well if you know it needs to be done or you want something to get done the best way I know of accomplishing anything is DO IT YOURSELF. Stop waiting for someone else to do your work for you. DO IT YOURSELF or quit whining about what everyone or someone else needs to do.

Anon 12:42 - A blog is a website where people can post opinions anonymously. Writing or expressing opinion is the purpose of the blog. Thinking out loud, sharing thoughts, expanding ideas -these are all expectations of a blog. Some people write, some create, and others act upon ideas, fulfill dreams, and so on. Some people are smart enough to know what needs to be done, others are keen enough to express it. There are still other people who enjoy stating the obvious. It makes them feel better about their perception of reality. Many of us for example, know there is an elite group of powerful people who orchestrate devious activity upon the public. We know it, we see it, and yet we know that to confront it directly will be dangerous. We enjoy speaking and writing about it - anonymously! I can tell you are one of those people.
