It was a long morning in the Georgetown Courthouse today as the case against Wayne Barrall, (the Delmar Firefighter who trespassed on my property last Thanksgiving) was heard.
We arrived around 8:30 AM and Wayne felt he was going to allow the case to be heard, therefore I had to sit there the entire time. That was no big deal as I was plenty to say against him and his infantile actions.
Nevertheless, as time went on and Wayne got to witness case after case of people pleading deals so Wayne decided to go the easier way out. They worked a deal to drop the Terroristic Threats and accept a 2nd degree Criminal Trespassing with a 90 day Protective Order. Should Wayne follow the guidelines he'll get off with a PBJ. If he doesn't follow their guidelines he will be arrested and the original charges will come back on him.
I did get to face the Judge and I said the following. Your Honor, I am not the only victim here. I am the only adult here. The real victim is a now 7, he was 6 when it happened, year old child in which my Wife and I are raising. Yesterday I sat in the Wicomico County Courthouse in the McMichael Trial where the States Attorney offered a 7 year plea deal and the honorable Judge turned down the plea based on McMichael being a Police Officer. Mr. Barrall is a Fireman and I believe my Grandson was violated by his actions as well and I'd hope the Court would reconsider this plea deal. I also explained how the President of the Delmar Fire Department and I believe their Treasurer came to my home the following day and allowed my Grandson to see the inside of their rescue vehicle in the hopes of re securing a child's trust in the Fire Department once again.
The Honorable Judge clearly understood my position and ADDED that Wayne Barrall also not have ANY contact with our Grandson as well. Rather than Wayne learning any lesson from today, I have been told one of those Fire Fighter blogs, they already posted an article defending Wayne. It's a shame that red headed step child will never get over his temper problems and I had truly hoped he would see some light after his experience today. Sadly that is not the case and it was more of a I win, you lose situation.
This must be a banner day for Wayne Barrell and the Delmar Fire Department to have a member who has a no contact order with a 7 year old. How proud they must be!

It's a sad day for Delmar. However, I am pleased this judge had the smarts to recognize the child was in fear and is now protected from such a mean man. I hope the guy screws up and gets a speeding ticket or anything in violation within the next 90 days so they lock him up on the original charges.
Maybe Wayne should stop mixing his oxycotin and alcohol consumption. Then he won't find himself in such a mess all the time. Check in with his ex wife Joe, there's some issues there as well.

My issue with that kid is Joe used him like a human shield, and then cries that he is somehow damaged as a result. I'm sure the kids a fruitcake already after having to deal with Joe every day. Why does Joe have to pay for the childs support and not the biological father? Id be amazed if they really have an idea who the father of this kid is at all. That is the truth! With that being said I wonder how many true firefighters there actually are(not just someone who has finished the training and carry the title)lot more to it than that.
Delmar needs to part their ways with this man. If I were in charge of the fire department I would throw out any one of you making these remarks, especially the ones about a child. Do they do background checks on these people?
This makes me sick to my stomach. Wayne should be terminated immediately. The idea that he settled on any deal clearly shows the man is guilty and was not man enough to fight what he claimed was right. After all this time I can see Joe was right and I am ashamed to say I know Wayne but I will never speak to him again.
Knowing the inside working of a fire dept(not delmar) but they are all pretty much the same around here, they don't give a damn about the public. All they are worried about is themselves.

I'd luv to take a copy of these post over to the Chief just to hear and see his response. With the times posted it'd be real easy to see who was on that puter at the firehse, everyone knows how easy it is to see where that putors been going and when. I have a real concern with anyones lives or property being in the hands of the ones that wrote those post.

How can you people fault Wayne for taking care of a problem? I don’t understand what’s wrong with him going to another suspected mans home to work out a problem. Joe proved what a coward he really is using his grandson as an excuse. And the child would not be subject to the shit you bring on your self and your family. First of all, my Grandson WAS in the house when the entire thing went down. The last I saw him he was underneath my bed, scared to death.
That being said, I could not risk that he followed me to the front door, so I did not get into a physican confrontation with Wayne in fear he might be watching.
I did do what a great parent would do, I backed down from any confrontation and kept ehe envoronment stable, on my behalf anyway.
Wayne did make the motions to swing at me and I stood there right in his face and said, I didn't even blink, did I wayne? Boy did that piss him off.
Nevertheless, I did right by my Grandson and Wayne was completely in the wrong. Audio will hopefully be available very soon of the actual court hearing. Boy will Wayne be shitting in his pants then! Yes, the truth and facts will then come out.
Joe you will never be half the man and honorable person that Wayne Barrell is. All of Delmar is proud of him. You, on the other hand, are a constant embarrasment to us.
