Quite frankly Ladies & Gentlemen, I have had to bite my tongue every time I see the pitiful comments popping up here defending Ray Lewis.
Look, the man allegedly stole a ton of Taxpayer Items. Ray Lewis is a PAWN SHOP for Thieves. He allegedly buys stolen items and puts them to good use, his own.
For his alleged Family to get on here day in and day out, acting like Ray is a victim is BS! Keep your mouths shut, stay off this Blog and stand up for your Son, that's cool. However, to get on the Blogs and ACT like the man did no wrong, BITE ME!
The case is growing against him and he has a streak in him in which many people go to jail for many years for. Ray Lewis is no different. IF found guilty, he should go away for his crimes as we're sick and tired of the cases like Chris Llinus, the Lawyer who was involved in the sale of drugs and laundering money and only got house arrest. By the way, Chris Llinus reads my Blog daily, Idiot!
My hope is that they come back, (like States Attorney Davis Ruark stated) and file many additional charges against him and he goes back to jail. My advise to Ray Lewis right now is, enjoy your freedom because Wicomico County wants you accountable for your actions and IF Davis comes through, you're going away as well as the other 4 thieves. Let's keep a keen eye on this one Ladies & Gentlemen?

As a taxpayer of Wicomico county, and a parent of a child in the public school system ( bennett middle warehouse) it seems only reasonable that all his assets both professional and personal be confiscated, sold and the funds be given to the suffering school system. $5 or $500,000, I am tired of this county suffering due to no one being held accountable for there actions.This being a prime example. And I have always wanted to ask- did we really need the fake bricks as walkways in the city?

I totally agree with everything in this statement! I also have a son in the public school system and all I ever hear is there is not enough money to update/tear down/fix up the schools! However, Mr. Lewis and his other crooks are out there stealing from the taxpayers and he is allowed to be out walking the streets. Something is bad wrong with the system...I own a small business and am taxed left and right! And yet this guy is living the life of riley! Along with his other buds!

The commissioner Ms Dryden should be fired immediately. To release any of them on their own recognizance is absolutely ridiculous. A crack head stealing from walmart will have bond set. A businessman stealing from the county signs his name and gets out. WTF???
As far as the superintendents knowing...they did know, they were stealing right along with them. They are responsible for the reports turned in to Mr. Sharma. Yet they sign their names and get out of jail free. WTF???

I work two jobs and pound my head against the wall worrying about how I'm going to pay the bills on 25K per year,also employed by a factory that's closing (Airpax).
On my 2d job I work with hard working owner operator truck drivers paying $3.50 gallon for deisel ,driving all OVER the U.S. to make their hideous monthly truck payments while this local creep steals people blind.

Mr.Pinto,you summed it up perfectly.My father is an independent trucker and diesel prices,as well as immense fuel taxes,are quite a strain on a business.They just work harder to pay the bills,they do not go out and steal supplies.I cannot understand why they (county solid waste div.)did not have a person in charge of their vehicle fleet to moniter fuel use,mileage or equipment hours,and mechanical checklists,to get a grasp of what is normal and what is not.I feel that a full restitution is in order for everyone involved.
Something to think about...Even if there was no Ray Lewis, i am pretty sure the schools in this area would be just as run down and short on resources as they are now. Do you really think that the money stolen would have went to the schools? Sorry to say it but chances are our county would have probably blown it on something else.
Yes we are all aware that these men are thieves, but like others have pointed out, how did no one not catch on to this? Isn't there some kind of inventory down each year or on a semi-regular basis. On that note if these 3-5 people could get away with this for over a year, what other departments in the county are getting robbed blind. I have a feeling if someone really did some looking into other departments it would be no problem finding money to fund our schools. Everyday people put money in their pockets.
What he did was wrong but he really did not steal it he paid County Employees for it so they actually stole the items. The county officials should really take a look at their record keeping. I don't know where they thought all the fuel and materials were going. I work for a construction company and we keep reports on all the equipment, when oil is used, when fuel is used, any maintenace that is performed is recorded. Now I wonder where our tax dollars are really being spent. It is not just Ray Lewes to blame they should take a good look around.
To the Lewis family comments - maybe its time for you guys to practice some tough love and disown your family THIEF . Then maybe he would learn something out of this and not be your spoiled little brat . The way I see it is he is either one greedy S.O.B. or he has a drug problem he needs to finance . For all the money he has maid RIPPING off people around here on septic systems he shouldn't have had to steal from the tax payers . Okay, if that's the way it spins, he's in receipt of stolen property at least (how many dozens of counts?) and conspiracy (how many dozens of counts.) Frankly, as he seemed to be a working part of a theft scheme, theft will also be one of the charges.

In most Muslim/Islamic countries a thief is given a choice to have his right or left hand cut off though this sounds severe it's actually worse due to the fact that Islamic law allows for one hand to be used for hygiene only and the other for eating only and the two can't be inter-changed so Ray Lewis you want to stink real bad and eventually die from some nasty disease or starve to death?
