Ron Alessi Becomes Front Page News

Isn't it amazing how "I've" been trying to expose Ron Alessi for 4 years now and all of a sudden the Daily Times GETS IT?

County Council Members opened their eyes and ears and saw right through the conflict of interest I've been seeing for years and exposed Ron Alessi, challenging him with a conflict of interest.

Gee, I've been trying to get the City to do something with this guy for years but they COVER IT UP, such as the illegal pipes running into the River and Alessi claiming it was done well before their time. Bull Sh!t!

Then there's the free catered lunches at every Zoo Commission Meeting, well, I could go on and on about Alessi. The City settled with the man because he sued the City because they decided he shouldn't be awarded contracts with the City since it too was a conflict of interest while he served on the Zoo Commission. Alessi wanted to do work at the Zoo and when he was turned down he threw a fit, yet he's still President of the Zoo Commission.

Kudos to the County Council and County Executive Rick Pollitt for seeing through Alessi's B.S. and hopefully they remove him from his seat. Tell me, what's the difference between Ray Lewis getting a good deal on diesel fuel and Ron Alessi being awarded contracts?

I loves the statement about the quality of work too! It wasn't about the lowest bid, it was about the quality of work being provided. Dee, Dee, Deeee! Then there's the no comment and he doesn't answer his phone at home or his cell phone. Yeah, this is a guy who should be in charge of the Zoo. Taking money from visitors where they claim it's going to feed the animals, then they admit the money isinstead used to feed the Zoo Commission Members.

Get this guy the hell out of the Zoo and get some new blood in there. By the way, SADLY, I'm told George Mengason is in a Coma in the hospital and not doing well. George is a great man who has provided so many wonderful things for the Salisbury Community. Our thoughts and prayers go out to him and his Family.

Don't forget that the late C. T. Webster was the first among us to blow the whistle on Mr. Alessi -- about his contract shenanigans at the Zoo.

I think the State of Md. has to remove him from the LB.

I sure do remember when "CT" put the spotlight of this guy -- and was roundly attacked by the mayor (Alessi is -- or was then -- a FOB) and the Daily Times, Chamber of Commerce and other members of the local Power Elite.

And, in response to that, Alessi was one of the gang that recruited Dunn, Comegys and Cathcart (the "Dream Team," which is the slogan he coined for them) to run for the City Council.

Another fine example of why the citizens of the county and the city need to get involved in the processes of their government. It appears that this area is riddled with questionable politics and decisions. Kudos to the individuals standing up for NOT doing business as usual. I am sick and tired of the fat cat good ole boy system, while the average citizen just continues to get kicked and stomped on.
Alessi, hang your head. Tilghman, Pick, Oland, Geary, Comegys, Smith, Wilbur, and Shields---can you even bother to give the appearance you care?
Hooray for those not afraid to buck the status quo and dig out the dirt.
It becomes more embarassing by the day to see how this town and county conducts its business.
The "white collar gangs" here are just as bad and rampant as the other gangs. They should be smoked out and made to do their time

I find all of this rather interesting. Where was everyone when CT and I were sued by Ron Alessi for our vote?

Anon 4:03 pm I can't agree with you more! It is time to make big changes around here and best we start with the city council and all of Barrie's friends, like Alessi, Gary, Shanie, Louise and a few others. Need to reconstitute that zoo commission too.

If the liquor board is not responsive to public opinion, maybe it would be responsive to a public boycott. Just go to Delaware and buy what you need. Inconvenient as that would be, it wouldn't take long to make a point if all of us banded together.
