Signature Pharmacy Stores For Sale
This one in Cambridge never swung their doors. As companies merge, the decision to not open stores and or close stores in the same Town is just remarkable. I was told the other day that Rite Aide has been trying to file Bankruptcy for some 10 years now. They owe too much money and their lenders refuse to allow them to file.
Wasn't there a big K-Mart across the street from this location that closed down years ago? One second you get the feeling Cambridge is coming back to life, then the next minute businesses are closing their doors. They've got a tough road ahead of them, especially with the real estate crunch, or should I finally use the word, RECESSION?

And what about downtown Salisbury? For instance those condos on Riverside Drive and Fitzwater Street, and then there's the Plaza.
Of course the plan to build a new library proposed by the "consultant that saved Rockville" will make it all better.
I'll bet that in 5 years downtown and the rest of Cambridge will be much better and Salisbury will be a lot worse, especially if Tilghman is still the mayor.
There are two "Rite-Aid" stores about one-quarter mile apart on Mt. Hermon Raoad, at Civic Avenue and Beaglin Park Drive. Go figure.

"We'll have to maintain control of spending, and I think that's going to be the order of the day," said Del. Norman H. Conway, the Eastern Shore Democrat who chairs the House Appropriations Committee.
He declined to identify what areas in the budget his committee might target for cuts, saying he needed to first compare the governor's budget with about $550 million in spending reductions the Appropriations Committee recommended during the special session.
Conway said the state's wintry economic forecast means the legislature will have to be "extremely cautious" about spending this session, referring to the troubled housing and stock markets as two "red flags."

You are mistaken The store did in fact open. I made several purchases in the store during the short period of time it was open.

I believe you're correct. I knew they were working hard at opening that Store but like you said, it was very short lived. The property is listed with Henry Hannah, so it should stay on the market for quite a while.
That KMart was remodeled and the entire parking lot was repaved, front and back, less than a year later K Mart was gone leaving a nice big parking lot fot the Super Fresh.
If they don't bring slots to the area the Hyatt will be the next building sitting empty.
