Explain to me how President Bush is blocking oil exploration in Alaska?

Joe you need to get your facts straight about the cost of gasoline a the pump. In 1995 Bill Clinton vetoed a republican passed measure that would have allowed drilling in Anwar, Alaska this would have brought millions of barrels of oil to the US market by now.The democratic party with all their environmental legislation have effectively stopped US oil companies from obtaining any new oil in our own country. Also Joe oil is a commodity its price is governed by supply and demand. Have you ever heard of China its demand for oil has grown 10 fold in the last several years!

We do not need to drill in the Alaskan National Wildlife Refuge. We could keep the millions of barrels of oil that flows through the current pipeline instead of shipping it out of the country. It is called and designated as a wildlife refuge for a reason. Drilling there would create a Salisbury Zoo like environment where nothing would survive for long.

Leave the refuge alone and lets keep what we're already pumping or find alternative fuels.
