Sgt. Jason Chance is an outstanding officer. A majority of his salary is paid for out of the Board of Education budget since he supervises the School Resource Officer program. The same is true of the Deputy that won the Baltimore Sun award for "Best in the State" last year.
The BOE contracts from the Sheriff's Office and pays for the full school year cost of these officers who serve our county schools.
Last year, Wicomico was the only county in the state that pays for the SROs out of the BOE budget. Other counties pay for them out of county or Sheriff Dept funding.
Congratulations to these fine law enforcement officers!
Thank you, everyone, for your support that you give law enforcement, no matter who services your area. I am extremely lucky to work with my fellow deputies, especially those that I work WITH in the schools.
I also want to say congratulations to Cpl Jason King of the Salisbury PD and Officer Chris Schockley of the Fruitland PD, both of which were also mentioned in a previous article.
Thanks, again, for everyone's support and STAY SAFE.

Amber he works for wcso. Being single doesn't matter!
7:30---sounds jealous to me...you want his number?
Nope. I'm not married so no deputy would have any interest. ROTFLMAO
