Remember Going Nuts Cafe? They're Back!

"You are the biggest asshole to ever exist. HOW DARE YOU. Don't you have anything better to talk about than your childish grudges, just because someone said something that hurt your feelings. GET OVER IT. HOW GODDAMN DENSE! There are people that have been working there since the establishment opened. And since you have "been in the business" I'm guessing you know what it's like to have your restaurant bombarded by "tourists" only looking to use the restroom. I'm guessing you actually have had your own goddamn restaurant on the same strip as Going Nuts, haven't you? Because then you would know... since you've OBVIOUSLY been in the business. I don't expect you to approve this, cause you have obviously only approved the comments that support YOUR opinion. HOW BIASED of you, and how SHALLOW of you. THEY HAVE EVERY RIGHT TO COMPLAIN. AND I HAVE EVERY RIGHT TO VOICE MY OPINION AS WELL. How does it not make sense? Yes, their location is a bit inconvenient, but there is NOT a "nicer" restaurant on that strip and everyone knows it. WHY DON'T YOU STOP COMPLAINING ABOUT SOMEONE ELSE COMPLAINING YOU GODDAMN HYPOCRITE."

WELL, You can count on my not ever coming through their doors ever again, LOL. Thanks for sharing that with over 60,000 people a day. Enjoy the newly founded business. I'm Joe Albero and I approve this message.

I'm sure they will be devastated to learn that you won't be dining there. It's a place where friends meet which would make you feel out of place.

I think Goin' Nuts needs to get over themselves. And pratically every single restaurant I've been to in my 32 years has been "nicer" than Goin' Nuts. The people there are snobby and honestly the food really really sucks...I hope they go down soon.

My guess is that Goin Nuts has already sealed it's fate with the parade protests. I know many who were very taken back by the arrogant attitude. I would think one would welcome "tourist" into you establishment. A GOOD business person would take that opportunity to impress new customers by showing hospitality. They might even buy a coffe or hot chocolate while they are in there. IDIOTS!!!!

Lombardis was ready for the parade goers, their staff was brought in early enough to handle any crowds that might have wanted a bite to eat before and after the event. Never once have I heard a complaint from the owner of that establishment over short term road closures. Being a smart businessman he hoped for and anticipated a surge in business and was rewarded for such anticipation. Goin Nuts should take a lesson from someone that has been around far longer than they have and will be here far longer than they will.

Their food is over priced and it SUCKS. You come out smelling like a cigarette...and still hungry. I ended up home on the toilet after my last serving of broccoli tempura and french onion soup!!!

Goin Nuts let me say it again...YOU SUCK and by the way
I love a parade and the new location is GREAT!

Im curious, in New York when they have the Macy's parade do restuarants act like Going Nuts...

Hmmm. Sounds like you named your restuarant correct "Going Nuts"

I went there once, and to be honest would never go back, rrather go to Station 7 in Pittsville... Best food around.

I like Goin Nuts and think your rampage is rude, crude and just about what everyone expects of you, you Redneck. Perhaps they reacted a little strongly at first but they got over it. Lose your chewing gum, dress yourself up a little bit, and try to be a gentleman.

I've been to goin nuts 2 times, and both times was dissapointed.
Overpriced, slow wait staff, and food was not impressive.

When we travel to Salisbury around lunch and my family is asked where we want to eat the answer is always... La Toltec! Cheap, good food, good and fast service.

After reading about this ever since the parade route was established and announced I have thought about how Goin Nuts could have worked this out in their favor. If I owned that business I would have definitely made every effort to capitalize on the situation. So what, people couldn't get in and out of the parking lot for a couple of hours. If they can't get to you, YOU GO TO THEM. Someone issued permits for the sale of cotton candy, candied apples, etc. WHY, didn't the owner or manager have the foresight to do the same? Apply for an outdoor vendor permit or whatever it is called and take a cart out on the sidewalk or better yet, up in the parking lot where it would be convenient yet out of the way of parade watchers. People will walk to the cart for hot chocolate, hot coffee, hot dogs, soft pretzels. It is done on just about every street corner in NYC and Philly. Whats the big deal? Rent the cart for a day and get a health dept certificate for the cart and be done with it. No, you won't make the money you would have made if the place was packed for lunch but you wouldn't have lost as much as you thought you would.

Stop looking at a half empty glass. There is always a way to turn a perceived negative into a positive.

I don't mind Goin' Nuts really. The food is pretty good and the price is okay if you get the right thing. Drinks are strong (which is more than can be said for many of the bars in this town). I can't say I enjoy smelling like a cigarette, but that will end soon with the smoking ban! Anyway, Joe, sometimes I do wonder about some of the things you post, but I keep reading because it is interesting and often entertaining! Have a good one!

Damn, someone needs to calm down, or else they will have a stroke or something.
