This man has cussed the volunteer firefighters so much during his career that he is one of the most hated individuals in the fire department. Under a previous administration he was on the verge of being terminated until there was an investigation into the leadership and a shake up in the fire department and he slipped out of the sight of the bullseye. And along comes Barrie Parsons Tilgman who promoted this monster and Bill Gordy. Birds of a feather!!!"
Thank You for stepping up and exposing this information. Not that anyone didn't think they are involved. It just clarifies things and proves just how bad it is within the SFD Leadership.
If you want changes Ladies & Gentlemen, throw out those donation envelopes. Barrie Tilghman refused to give the Fire Department a single raise, yet she increased your taxes by 14% in one year. RETALIATE! DO NOT give any donations to the Fire Department this year, (I'm sorry to say) and let Barrie Tilghman know as well as the leaders in the Fire Department that you're NOT going to take it any more.

The Mayor raised your taxes 14%, they refused to pay the Fire Fighters ANY additional money, make the Mayor use that 14% towards new equipment.

These first two posts are more evidence that the firefighters are very narrow and can't think for themselves. They would rather attact the administrator of this blog for encouraging the citizens to refuse to donate to the fire department. If they had any intelligence they would attact the leadership of the fire department for forcing an unneeded $10 millon fire mansion down the throats of the same tax payers. They should focus there energy and hatred on the Three Stooges and the Mare instead.
They make threats on here about someone's house catching on fire or being involved in a car accident. What immature scare tactics from an ignorant paid fire man.

You all didn't get your raises because your union backed the only two honest people on the council so Barrie and her flying monkeys decided to show you who is boss. Now you all need to show them who the boss is. Call in the State Prosecutors office and have your superiors investigated. Call in the States Attorney to investigate, if all else fails, call in the feds let them sort through the garbage. Someone, somewhere has to hold these people accountable.

You don't think he was promoted to the third ranking officer of the Salisbury Fire Department because he is the best qualified do you? Why do you think he gets everything he asks for? For your information the career firefighters are getting there raises. The city just decided to wait until the beginning of the year to give them there raises. So again you all need to get facts straight before you go posting that they raised taxes and didn't give the firefighters there raises. Thank you
I think the main point of this is that the city needs to account for the money spent building the firehouse. Lets see the expences... how much are they paying for labor, how much for materials, how much for land. It should all be public, right?
10 million seems very high to me for a garage to house firetrucks and a few firefighters.
I meen, how much of that building is just open space. for the trucks? Seems like they must have seperate bedrooms for the firefighters staying overnight, and a hell of a lounge and kitchen for that price. Lets see the numbers. Anyone know how we can see just exactly what the city is getting billed for and by whom?
That is what needs to be questioned and answered.

I can't believe that on this day December 7th there is no mention of Pearl Harbor Day. Hundreds of military personnel gave their lives for this country and we're reading about this crap. Thank you to all veterans who have served our country.

Those ladies went to the mat on those salaries. Same on holding the tax hike down, the water hike reversed, and spending accounted for.
They are "in the seat and in the heat" in a different way on behalf of us (firefighters, cops, citizens, little guys, etc.).
We need to be there for them, or else they AND we aren't going to get anything but the SOS from the Mare, Bubba and Louweasel are going to continue to screw us and the city into oblivion.
BTW, Albero, I think you meant OUTED (OUTTED?) in your headline. Would that they WERE "ousted" by one of their own.
