Maryland Delegate files lawsuit against Governor Hogan
WASHINGTON COUNTY, Md. (WBFF) -- Maryland State Delegate and Congressional Candidate Neil Parrott has filed a lawsuit against Governor Larry Hogan after fellow Delegate Dan Cox was reportedly threatened with arrest by Maryland State Police.
Parrott says one of the reasons he filed the suit, along with other state leaders was to seek relief for Cox who says he was threatened with arrest if he attended a Reopen Maryland rally in Fredrick County.
“Threatening a legislator with arrest for exercising his first amendment right to free speech is not only unconstitutional, it is wrong," Parrot said. "We live in a Republic, and I want to make sure that no one person in Maryland or in any other state of the nation should be able to have unchecked power. ”

Dear Government, I'm An American And I Do Not Want Your Help
So far I've lost around $50,000.00 in business revenue. I have been forced to close down my business after completely and successfully reinventing this establishment. No sooner was I at standing room only and business roaring you cut me off at the knees. You cut my staff's income off at the knees only to force them to be DEPENDENT ON YOU! We are a nation of people who rejected overbearing government rule, got on boats, sailed an unknown ocean for an unknown time and distance risking our lives and those of our fellow to come to a New World and start our own country ruled by the citizens, and when the oppressive governments followed us over and demanded we give our profits back across the ocean we fought them off, dying for our freedom until the bastards went back to England.
Now you want to pay people $1,600.00 a week just to stay home from a new virus and now NO ONE wants to go back to work, and why should they.
As an independent businessman, I TOOK ALL OF THE RISKS. You have now stepped in and erased the product of our extremely hard work and financial risk and when (or if) I am allowed to reopen, I can expect to cut back my business at least 50%. Maybe you think this is generous, as some states are forcing 75% cutbacks!
My words above, (I believe) speak for ALL small business people at this very moment in time. To read that businesses like Seacrets and other larger venue bars/restaurants can't even consider reopening until a vaccine is available is complete BS! This virus has morphed itself into over 85 different strains and its infection rate is on a downward slope. To think anyone can chase down a vaccine before it morphs again is ludicrous. We now have vastly more DATA than we had in January showing that this has been in the population as far back as December or before, that 2.5 million people DID NOT DIE from this and how incredulously wrong that prediction was. Charts now show the peak is past us and the new infection rate is decreasing, several drugs treating this are having positive results and are actively saving lives.
You have Fox News, CNN, MSNBC and all the others in the mainstream media shoving alleged experts in the field telling us, (think about what I just said) TELLING US what THEY want you to hear. I call BS on all of them! ANYONE claiming to be an expert on this virus is simply full of crap. This virus is uncharted territory and NO ONE is an expert with it, period. The best that people can do, even the professionals, is guess from minute to minute, hour to hour, day to day.
Here's what we do know. We know that our country was founded on the desire for freedom from tyranny. People died to firmly recognize, establish and protect our God given right to freedom. They died to make sure NONE of what is going on right now would ever happen to us, our politicians creating instant laws forbidding us from our FREEDOMS.
While I could go on and on with my personal feelings about this and related topics (even unrelated ones), it isn't a discussion without the voices of others. Your thoughts need to be heard in Comments.

As an essential worker in Ocean City I am well aware of what daily traffic has been since the 'stay at home' orders went into effect. The traffic is nill during the week and weekends till today. The amount of traffic in town today I thoroughly believe the population in Ocean City is at least doubled. Cars are parked in condo lots which have been empty till today. And I am not talking one or two cars but 10 - 20. So much for the governors 'stay at home' orders. Evidently it does not apply to those who have "second" residences. These people maybe asymptomatic and spreading the virus! The Governor's orders mean nothing to these people. I would not be surprised if we see a sudden uptick in cases here in the next week or two. I am sure a lot of them will have their rental cleaning crews come in to clean and some of them will contract the virus and spread it from there. Watch and see, I am willing to bet our virus cases will jump in a week or two with this massive influx. The photos are what I call heavy traffic compared to the no cars I have seen the past three weeks!!
SBYNews Exclusive: Again, Who Do You Trust When It Comes To Death Numbers And This Coronavirus?
Since this covid 19 has been tracked in the USA since January and it’s now the end of April, I was wondering how the TOTAL number of deaths for that 4 month period compares to previous years. Looking through the CDC web pages and the index mundi.com sites, I found that the death rates were all divided up by state, demographics and differing causes. After a lot of searching, I was able to find average monthly death rates for 2017, 2018, and 2019, but when I got to 2020, the total death rate was noted to NOT include Covid 19 deaths, as those were found separately and I could add up the two to get a grand total number.
Adding up all the states list that EXCLUDES the Covid 19 comes to 938,000 deaths so far this year. Adding the COVID 19 only deaths for the US, 63,000 brings the total number of deaths so far this year to 991,000.
US average for 2017 @ 325m population (we’re now at 330m, or 1% higher) was 991,000 deaths for the first 4 months of the year, adding for the 1% population increase in 2019 @ 330m brings the average to 1,001,000.
So that means we’re 8,000 deaths BEHIND IN OVERALL DEATHS for the year!
The chart shows that the maximum crude death rate since 1950 varied from minus 1.37% to plus 1.37% with lesser variations when the curves were reversing.
So, that puts our 2020 death rate curve in a nose dive at an approximate 1% DOWN RATE! Considering that the winter months Dec through March are the usual higher rate of the year, we’re doing GREAT!
Why are we shut down, again?
FULL DISCLOSURE: It should be noted that the numbers are SOMEWHAT down because there are less car accident deaths since a lot of the country has been shut down.
It should also be noted that IF we were to open up Ocean City our number of deaths WILL in fact increase. The bottom line is, we still believe the numbers will be within reason of NORMAL deaths from each year to date.
Finally, there are 5,000,000 more people this year (so far) than there were last year in the United States.
Now it's up to you to decide if the shut down is actually in the best "health interest" of the United States. Shame on the MSM for NOT doing this research and brainwashing Americans with BOGUS scare tactics.

On the other hand, people aged 75 and over have a death rate 80 times that. For people under 18 years old, the rate of death is zero per 100,000.
Of all fatal cases in New York state, two-thirds were in patients over 70 years of age; more than 95 percent were over 50 years of age; and about 90 percent of all fatal cases had an underlying illness. Of 6,570 confirmed COVID-19 deaths fully investigated for underlying conditions to date, 6,520, or 99.2 percent, had an underlying illness. If you do not already have an underlying chronic condition, your chances of dying are small, regardless of age. And young adults and children in normal health have almost no risk of any serious illness from COVID-19.

Virginia Health Commissioner Says Schools Could Remain Closed For Two Years
Virginia Democratic Gov. Ralph Northam’s office said Friday that Phase One of reopening the state under federal guidelines could last as long as two years as the state battles the novel Wuhan coronavirus.
“I personally think Phase One will be a two year affair,” said State Health Commissioner Norman Oliver, according to the Richmond Times-Dispatch. “There are a lot of people working on this, and I hope they prove me wrong, but I don’t see it happening in less than two years.”
Phase One under federal recommendations feature a limited reopening of some businesses with strict safety restrictions, social distancing requirements remaining in place, continued teleworking encouraged and face masks suggested in public. Nowhere do the guidelines mention reopening schools that will already remain closed for the rest of the academic year.
The Virginia health department tried to clarify Oliver’s comments on Saturday, saying the health commissioner misspoke when speculating that Phase One of recovery would last 24 months.

Due to the collaborations and partnerships developed within our Continuum Of Care, the Somerset County Heath Dept. and Seton Center have graciously offered to place our guests into temporary hotel rooms and will offer more permanent housing options through rapid rehousing and other resources.
We will NO LONGER need volunteers. We appreciate those who have already volunteered and those who have signed up for dates to come.

His One Shoe Fits All approach is hurting working men and women of Eastern Shore in a big way. Same could be said about business, big and small, everywhere. Besides Hogan has been bashing President Trump so much lately on every issue, would make you believe he is a Democrat from Annapolis, and he probably is.

So, with that in mind, if Hogan wants to keep everything in shutdown mode, he can, but on The Other Side of the Chesapeake Bay and not here. Our COVID-19 numbers Do Not Justify the Shutdown in comparison with counties around Baltimore and Washington, D.C. It doesn't matter how much "they' try to inflate their numbers, Larry, Keep Your Shutdown on the other side of the Bay Bridge! We on Delmarva Are Open For Business. National Guard protecting tests from federal government in Maryland
Governor of Maryland Larry Hogan revealed Thursday that the state's National Guard is protecting 500,000 coronavirus tests flown in from South Korea at a secret location over concerns that the federal government will interfere and confiscate them.
Hogan and his Korean-born wife Yumi worked with South Korean authorities over 22 days to secure half a million tests for his state after conflict between governors and the Trump administration about the level of testing being made available.
The tests landed at Baltimore-Washington International Airport on April 18 where Hogan revealed the National Guard and state police had established a 'Fort Knox' like protection over them.
This was the first Korean Air plane to ever land in the airport as the governor said he wanted to avoid the tests having to cross over state lines because of previous reports of the federal government interjecting to confiscate equipment.

Newly released documents establish that beginning in the waning days of Obama's presidency, high-level FBI officials inflicted Soviet-style "justice" on General Mike Flynn. It's also possible that both Obama and Biden were part of this plot.
The newest batch of documents reveals that, by January 4, 2017, the FBI had ruled Mike Flynn out as a possible suspect in its investigation into whether Trump or his associates had colluded with the Russians. The agent reviewing the evidence against Mike Flynn wrote a memorandum explaining that there was no "derogatory" evidence against Flynn either in house or through an outside agency.
The investigating team concluded, therefore, that Flynn was no longer a viable candidate as part of the larger [Russia investigation] umbrella case. A review of logical [redacted] databases did not yield any information on which to predicate further investigative efforts.

Democrats Are Reaping The ‘Whirlwind’ Kavanaugh Warned About
The media and Democrats were enraged when Brett Kavanaugh warned that their unethical behavior against him might have consequences. They should have listened.
Brett Kavanaugh was a very difficult Supreme Court nominee for liberals to oppose. He had a stellar reputation, an impeccable record, and a genial disposition. While members of the Resistance held a protest on the steps of the Supreme Court minutes after President Trump announced him as the pick to replace retiring Associate Justice Anthony Kennedy, their early efforts to keep him off the bench showed little promise.
All that changed in mid-September 2018, when the Washington Post carefully packaged and presented Christine Blasey Ford’s claim that Kavanaugh had tried to rape her when she was in high school. The media and Democrats immediately latched onto the accusation in a desperate attempt to keep Kavanaugh from being confirmed.
It wasn’t the quality of the allegation that led to this reaction. Blasey Ford had no evidence she had ever met Kavanaugh, much less that he had tried to rape her. She wasn’t sure about any detail related to the event other than that she had precisely one beer and that Kavanaugh had tried to rape her.
She didn’t know how she got to the alleged event, where it was, how she got home, or whose house it was. None of the four witnesses she identified to reporters as having been at the event in question supported her claim. That included her close friend Leland Keyser, who was pressured by mutual acquaintances to change her testimony that she had no recollection of the event in question. Kavanaugh had an army of close friends and supporters who testified to his character throughout his adolescence and adulthood.

Brett Kavanaugh was a very difficult Supreme Court nominee for liberals to oppose. He had a stellar reputation, an impeccable record, and a genial disposition. While members of the Resistance held a protest on the steps of the Supreme Court minutes after President Trump announced him as the pick to replace retiring Associate Justice Anthony Kennedy, their early efforts to keep him off the bench showed little promise.
All that changed in mid-September 2018, when the Washington Post carefully packaged and presented Christine Blasey Ford’s claim that Kavanaugh had tried to rape her when she was in high school. The media and Democrats immediately latched onto the accusation in a desperate attempt to keep Kavanaugh from being confirmed.
It wasn’t the quality of the allegation that led to this reaction. Blasey Ford had no evidence she had ever met Kavanaugh, much less that he had tried to rape her. She wasn’t sure about any detail related to the event other than that she had precisely one beer and that Kavanaugh had tried to rape her.
She didn’t know how she got to the alleged event, where it was, how she got home, or whose house it was. None of the four witnesses she identified to reporters as having been at the event in question supported her claim. That included her close friend Leland Keyser, who was pressured by mutual acquaintances to change her testimony that she had no recollection of the event in question. Kavanaugh had an army of close friends and supporters who testified to his character throughout his adolescence and adulthood.

Joe’s Biden’s campaign dispatched operatives to the University of Delaware’s library in the past year to rifle through his secretive Senate records there, Business Insider reported Thursday — raising the possibility they accessed documents related to Tara Reade’s accusation that he sexually assaulted her when she worked for him in 1993.
The development comes as both The Atlantic and The Washington Post argued that Biden should instruct the university to turn over the records, saying they “could contain confirmation of any complaint Ms. Reade made, either through official congressional channels or to the three other employees she claims she informed not specifically of the alleged assault but more generally of harassment.”
Biden campaign officials “rifled through” the documents on “at least one occasion,” Business Insider reported, citing a statement from University spokeswoman Andrea Boyle Tippett.

White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany scolded reporters on Friday at the White House for failing to cover the story of new developments in the case surrounding former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn.
“There is a case of injustice that is yet to be brought up today. I would certainly like to bring it up,” she said. “That is the case of Michael Flynn. What we have learned from that should scare every American citizen.”

National Guard, State Police Protecting Maryland's Virus Tests From Feds
Maryland's GOP Gov. Larry Hogan says the National Guard and Maryland State Police are guarding coronavirus tests at a secret location because of concerns they may be seized.
In a video interview with The Washington Post, Hogan said there was "a little bit of concern" about the federal government seizing the tests after governors had their supplies taken.
Maryland recently bought half a million tests from South Korean company LabGenomics for $9 million, Business Insider reported.
"We spent about 22 days and nights dealing with this whole transaction with Korea," Hogan told the Post.
"We dealt with the Korean embassy, folks at the State Department...and our scientists on both sides trying to figure out these tests," Hogan said. "And then at the last moment, I think 24 hours before, we got the sign-off from the FDA and Border and Customs to try to make sure that we landed this plane safely."
Hogan said when the Korean Air jet carrying the 500,000 tests flew into Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport, it was met by National Guard troops and state troopers.

On Friday, Joe Biden made his first public response to the sexual assault allegations made against him by former staffer Tara Reade. In a statement, he claimed that there was no record of the alleged complaint she filed back in 1993. “The papers from my Senate years that I donated to the University of Delaware do not contain personnel files,” he explained. “There is only one place a complaint of this kind could be — the National Archives. The National Archives is where the records are kept at what was then called the Office of Fair Employment Practices.”
He then called on the National Archives to identify and release any such records pertaining to the alleged complaint.

The stimulus packages being handed out across this world provide us with an opportunity to document the anticapitalist process as it unfolds in real time, keeping in mind that when these inflation schemes fail, it will likely be blamed on capitalism.
My previous article discussed the $600 billion Main Street Lending Program (MSLP), which is very different from and not to be confused with the $670 billion Paycheck Protection Program (PPP). Whereas the MSLP grants between $1 million and $150 million in the form of a secured loan, the PPP only provides the lesser of $10 million and 250 percent of a borrower’s average monthly payroll costs. However, what is more concerning than the amount of the loans are the terms of the “loans.” Per the US Small Business Administration (SBA):
The loan will be fully forgiven if the funds are used for payroll costs, interest on mortgages, rent, and utilities (due to likely high subscription, at least 75% of the forgiven amount must have been used for payroll).
In what may go down in history as one of the most aptly named loan programs ever, the “Paycheck Protection Program,” appears to be living up to its moniker; but is it a “real loan” or a loan in name only? Even worse, nowhere does it say that employees must work in order to receive the money. Rather, the SBA goes on to mention that “forgiveness is based on the employer maintaining or quickly rehiring employees and maintaining salary levels.” Thus, not only does it make sense for the entrepreneur to maintain all staff, but the entrepreneur is also incentivized to maintain existing salary amounts as well, regardless of whether the employee works or not.
A recent Washington Post article said it best, citing a legal opinion to explain that
“the company can still choose to use PPP funds to pay that employee, even if the employee is not actually performing real work.”
But that doesn’t mean the loan is designed to pay people “not to work.”

South Korea successfully held in-person elections this month without finding evidence for a single coronavirus transmission at an election station, South Korea’s Ministry of Health and Welfare (MOHW) announced this week, the Epoch Times reported on Thursday.

The MSNBC appearance marked the first time that Biden has addressed the accusations directly since Reade reemerged last month.

At the time, she told a local California news outlet that she had filed a complaint noting the misconduct with the Senate’s personnel office when it purportedly occurred.

In light of bombshell FBI documents that reveal an alleged scheme to set up then-national security adviser Michael Flynn, Rep. Steve Scalise, R-La., told “Fox & Friends” on Friday that the FBI was getting ready to close the Flynn case, but "anti-Trumper" agent Peter Strzok pushed it to continue.

Cities and states across the country turned convention centers and other venues into makeshift hospitals, while the hospitals themselves banned “elective” surgeries in order to prepare for the overflow.
What happened?
Many hospitals are now empty and have been forced to lay off workers. The 500-bed U.S. Navy ship Comfort that New York City so desperately needed is about to head out to sea, never having been nearly so needed as anticipated. Field hospitals erected at great cost are closing without ever having treated a patient. As The Daily Wire reports, that’s because “forecasts [in New York City, for example,] predicted that 110,000 beds would be necessary. At the height of the outbreak, 18,825 beds, less than 20% of the predicted number, were needed.”
Don’t get us wrong: We’re glad that our hospitals were never pushed to the brink except for some “hot spots.” But these same facilities now face a crisis that may have been even worse than the virus. As President Donald Trump repeatedly states, “The cure can’t be worse than the problem itself.”
Well, it just might be. But our government’s intentions were good.

YouTube Censors Video of California Doctors Calling for Re-opening of Country
YouTube has taken down a video of two doctors from Bakersfield, California, who held a press conference calling for the reopening of the country. According to the Google-owned video platform, the doctors “violated community guidelines.”
The doctors, Dan Erickson and Artin Massihi, operate out of an urgent care clinic in Bakersfield. Citing fatality statistics in California, the doctors argued that the Chinese virus has proven less deadly than anticipated.
“We have 39.5 million people, if we just take a basic calculation and extrapolate that out, that equates to about 4.7 million cases throughout the state of California,” said Dr. Erickson. “Which means this thing is widespread, that’s the good news. We’ve seen 1,227 deaths in the state of California with a possible incidents or prevalence of 4.7 million. That means you have a 0.03 chance of dying from COVID-19 in the state of California.”

The Global Times added some taunting about the number of coronavirus cases in the United States (which are reported honestly, unlike the highly questionable data Beijing has always provided on the Wuhan virus) and claimed the lawsuits filed by states like Missouri and Mississippi are merely political stunts to distract the American people from their misery.

Kudlow says 'the worst is nearly over' as unemployment tops 30 million
Larry Kudlow said Friday that even though the second quarter of fiscal year 2020 will be worse than the first, he believes the 'worst is nearly over' of economic depressionfrom coronavirus.
'That gives me hope that working cooperatively we can get through this. I believe – yes, I am an optimist, always – I believe we can get through this. I believe the worst is nearly over. I hope and pray that that is the case. And I think as this infection rate comes down, it's an omen that America is not far from getting to the other side,' Kudlow told CNBC in an interview Friday morning.
President Donald Trump's top economic adviser also admitted that the economy will continue to suffer as the pandemic enters another month.
'You probably saw in the GDP, a 13 per cent saving rate in the first quarter. That's a remarkable number, that just shows you there's pent up demand up there. The second quarter's going to be worse numbers, no question about it,' Kudlow said.

Millions of Doses of Remdesivir, Promising Drug in Virus War, Could Be Available By Next Year
By the end of May, Gilead Sciences says, it could produce 140,000 doses of remdesivir -- a drug which has shown promise in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. The company hopes that'll rise to a million rounds of the drug by the end of 2020 and “several million” doses by next year.
CNBC reports that clinical tests of the drug on 397 patients with severe, advanced cases of COVID-19 showed that a five-day dosage cycle led to improvement in at least half.
Daniel O’Day, CEO of Gilead, said on the company’s website: “We are very pleased with these results. They provide valuable information on treatment duration in this severe patient population and show the outcome we had all hoped to see.”
He also noted that the company’s studies show that patients received the same benefit from remdesivir if they took it for five days or 10, meaning that more of the drug could become available more quickly, allowing treatment of more patients.

Speaker Nancy Pelosi this past weekend launched a broadside invective at the United States Supreme Court, calling the Court’s justices – apparently all nine of them — “political hacks.” Additional opinions expected in the coming weeks, however, are likely to heighten the Speaker’s ire.
While the country continues in the grip of a medical pandemic made worse by a series of draconian measures instituted by state governors and local officials limiting individual liberty, Ms. Pelosi found time to vent her anger at the Supreme Court. Interestingly, the Court did not incur the Speaker’s wrath because it dared limit what has become the Left’s most sacred shibboleth – unfettered access to abortion on demand. Nor was the Speaker’s anger precipitated by a majority of justices finding cause to support the right to possess a firearm, which, unlike the right to an abortion, is expressly guaranteed by the Bill of Rights.
