Independent filmmaker Michael Hansen has a new documentary out titled Killing Free Speech. It features internal emails from a New Jersey school showing teachers pushing political propaganda in the wake of President Trump’s travel ban.
The documentary shows a teacher encouraging colleagues to wear hijabs and/or burkas, and distribute pamphlets in solidarity with Muslims to protest Trump’s policies — even though the White House’s restrictions on travel from countries, erroneously described as a “Muslim ban” by his opponents in the media, includes North Korea, a non-Muslim country.
Hansen interviews the school principal who claims to know nothing about the agitation, even though Hansen obtains staff emails showing she had been made aware of it.
Part one of Hansen’s documentary, which features the investigation, can be watched in full below. Part two is scheduled for release later this year.

Queen Anne’s looks to limit balloon releases
“Up, up and away, my beautiful, my beautiful balloon…,” sang the 5th Dimension back in the Age of Aquarius. But today the plethora of balloons being released into the atmosphere is becoming an environmental and wildlife hazard.
And some folks in Queen Anne’s County are hoping to do their bit to curb releasing those non-biodegradable helium filled orbs aloft.
A bill was submitted to the Queen Anne’s County Board of Commissioners last week to outlaw their release, and slap a $250 fine on those who purposely let them fly into the atmosphere.
The bill, introduced by Commissioner Christopher Corchiarino, is backed by the Eastern Shore’s oldest environmental organization, the Queen Anne’s Conservation Association.

Trump signs order to make American-made goods more American
During the annual White House “Made in America” showcase, President Trump said Monday his administration will require American products to use more American components if they are to be used by the government.
American-made products used for government projects currently can contain 50 percent foreign components and still be considered American, Trump said.
He signed an executive order boosting the percentage of American components to 75 percent.

A Farm Kid Writes Home After Joining The Marines.
Dear Ma and Pa:
I am well. Hope you are. Tell Brother Walt and Brother Elmer the Marine Corps beats working for old man Minch by a mile. Tell them to join up quick before all of the places are filled.
I was restless at first because you get to stay in bed till nearly 6 a.m. But I am getting so I like to sleep late.
Tell Walt and Elmer all you do before breakfast is smooth your cot, and shine some things. No hogs to slop, feed to pitch, mash to mix, wood to split, fire to lay. Practically nothing.
Men got to shave but it is not so bad, there’s warm water. Breakfast is strong on trimmings like fruit juice, cereal, eggs, bacon, etc., but kind of weak on chops, potatoes, ham, steak, fried eggplant, pie and other regular food, but tell Walt and Elmer you can always sit by the two city boys that live on coffee. Their food, plus yours, holds you until noon when you get fed again. It’s no wonder these city boys can’t walk much.
We go on “route marches,” which the platoon sergeant says are long walks to harden us. If he thinks so, it’s not my place to tell him different. A route march is about as far as to our mailbox at home. Then the city guys get sore feet and we all ride back in trucks.
The Sergeant is like a school teacher. He nags a lot. The Captain is like the school board. Majors and Colonels just ride around and frown. They don’t bother you none.
This next will kill Walt and Elmer with laughter. I keep getting medals for shooting. I don’t know why. The bulls-eye is near as big as a chipmunk head and don’t move, and it ain’t shooting at you like the Higgett boys at home. All you got to do is lie there all comfortable and hit it.
You don’t even load your own cartridges. They come in boxes.
Then we have what they call hand-to-hand combat training. You get to wrestle with them city boys. I have to be real careful though, they break real easy. It ain’t like fighting with that ol’ bull at home. I’m about the best they got in this except for that Tug Jordan from over in Silver Lake . I only beat him once. He joined up the same time as me, but I’m only 5’6″ and 130 pounds and he’s 6’8″ and near 300 pounds dry.
Be sure to tell Walt and Elmer to hurry and join before other fellers get onto this setup and come stampeding in.
Your loving daughter,
Alice

U.S. State Dept. Sinking Trump’s ‘Safe Country’ Asylum Program, Says Guatemalan Official
A high-ranking Guatemalan government official told Breitbart News that the U.S. Department of State in that country is working with leftist organizations to allow President Donald Trump’s proposed “safe country” asylum agreement to die. President Trump is seeking agreements with Mexico and Central American countries to help slow the surge of migrants attempting to exploit loopholes in the U.S. asylum system.
A high-ranking Guatemalan government official spoke with Breitbart News under the condition of anonymity about the plans being negotiated between Guatemalan President Jimmy Morales and U.S. President Donald Trump to house so-called asylum seekers who have illegally crossed the U.S. border from Mexico. The proposed agreement would allow asylum seekers from any country to be sent to Guatemala for asylum. The proposal and a meeting scheduled for Monday between the two presidents has been postponed, Breitbart News reported.
“We hope the meeting will happen,” the Guatemalan official told Breitbart News in a phone interview, “but it won’t happen now.” A constitutional court in Guatemala placed an injunction against President Morales’ government from entering into the agreement, Sara Carter reported. “The court has acted against the constitution,” the Guatemalan official continued. He explained the Guatemalan courts are packed with leftist activists.
The official also blamed the U.S. State Department in Guatemala for “not doing anything to salvage the agreement.” He said State Department officials will frequently push to get agreements approved but have not done so in this case.

The Border Wall Fight Just Got To The Supreme Court
The Trump administration asked the Supreme Court for clearance to begin constructing 100 miles of fencing through drug-smuggling corridors along the U.S.-Mexico border.
The Friday request comes after U.S. District Judge Haywood Gilliam forbade the administration from using $2.5 billion in military funds for border wall construction. The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals denied the administration’s request to stay that ruling while litigation continued on July 3.
“The practical significance of the decision below for the government’s drug-interdiction efforts would weigh strongly in favor of further review,” the government’s stay application to the high court reads.

4 kids steal their family's car and run away on 600-mile road trip
Four adventurous children, between the ages of 10 and 14, packed a stolen family car with fishing rods and took off on an epic 600-mile road trip along the Australian coast, authorities have said.
One of the children left a goodbye note for their parents before leaving for the mammoth journey, which ended several hours later when police tracked down the parked car along a highway in New South Wales, authorities told CNN.
The kids likely shared driving responsibilities during the 578-mile trip from Rockhampton in Queensland to Grafton in New South Wales, police added, after taking a four-wheel-drive Nissan Patrol car belonging to one of their parents.

College Admissions Are Rigged In Favor Of Prominent Democrats
If you’ve ever watched Chris Cuomo on CNN, you may have wondered, How did this guy get a TV show? He can barely speak English. There are nights when Cuomo emits entire paragraphs that mean nothing at all, just pure gibberish. Cuomo went to Yale, which has famously high admissions standards. Is Cuomo a secret genius? Does he have some amazing talent that’s invisible on TV? Maybe he speaks flawless Urdu or has a deep grounding in particle physics.
Actually, it turns out he has an even more impressive qualification: His father, Mario Cuomo, was the governor of New York. If you want to get into a top American college, the most effective credential of all is to have a parent who’s a well-known Democratic politician.
But don’t take our word for it. Ask Dante de Blasio, son of Bill de Blasio, the incompetent mayor of New York. There’s no evidence the younger de Blasio did remarkably well in high school. And yet, like Chris Cuomo, he somehow got into Yale. Once there, Dante de Blasio found himself surrounded by people just like himself: the thoroughly average children of other prominent liberals. That would include the offspring of at least three Democrats currently serving in the U.S. Senate: Michael Bennet, Amy Klobuchar and Sheldon Whitehouse. All of them sent kids to Yale.

Atlantic League Batter Steals First, Makes Baseball History
Around the time that robot umpires were brought in to help officiate the Atlantic League All-Star Game, Major League Baseball and the independent league’s front office decided to tack on a few more rules to experiment with for the second half of the season. Among them included an expansion on the current dropped third strike rule in the majors, which now allows batters to try and steal first if a pitch is not “caught in flight” by the catcher.
On Saturday, Tony Thomas, an outfielder for the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs, became the first person to actually use this new rule, and the first player in baseball history to successfully steal first base. On the second pitch of his plate appearance, the ball flew right past the Lancaster Barnstormers’ catcher for what normally would have been a 1-1 count. After a couple seconds of inaction between the two players, something appeared to suddenly click in Thomas’s head that reminded him of this rule change—likely a teammate or coach yelling at him. With the ball rolling all the way to the backstop, the catcher was unable to get to the ball before Thomas made it to first safely.

Trump Lawyer: Video Shows Ex-Campaign Staffer Lied About Forcible Kiss
President Donald Trump’s lawyers released a 15-second video Wednesday they say shows that a former Trump campaign staffer lied when she claimed the Republican forcibly kissed her on the campaign trail in 2016.
Alva Johnson, who worked on the campaign’s voter outreach team, sued Trump on Feb. 25 for battery and discrimination based on her race and gender. Johnson, who is black, said Trump forcibly kissed her in a campaign RV during a stop in Florida on Aug. 24, 2016.
Charles Harder, a personal attorney for Trump, said cellphone footage of the exchange debunks Johnson’s salacious claim.

Case dismissed against mother whose toddler son peed in a parking lot
AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – A Georgia mother is no longer being charged with disorderly conduct after a deputy saw her toddler son urinate in a gas station parking lot back in April.
Charges were dropped Thursday against Brooke Johns who was almost nine months pregnant at the time she got the ticket.
Brooke was driving when the little voice in the backseat said he had a big problem.
“He’s like, ‘Mom, I’ve got to pee. I’ve got to pee!’ I was like, ‘Well, hold on,’ and he’s like, ‘No! I’ve GOT to pee! I’ve got to REALLY pee.’ And I’m like, ‘Baby, there’s nowhere for me to go, and he says, ‘Momma, I’m about to pee in my pants!” Brooke recalled.

Ayanna Pressley: Minority border agents act as 'a cog' in machine of oppression
Speaking at the Netroots Nation convention in Philadelphia on Saturday, Massachusetts Rep. Ayanna Pressley claimed black and brown people who work for the U.S. Customs and Border Protection are "a cog" in the machine that perpetuates oppression and incarceration of people that "look just like them."
Pressley is part of the ultra-liberal faction of the Democratic Party that is backed by political action committee Justice Democrats and often referred to as "The Squad." The Squad also included Reps. Ilhan Omar, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and Rashida Tlaib, who have all been the subject of controversy in the House of Representatives after Speaker Nancy Pelosi chided them for criticizing more moderate Democrats in Congress.
Pressley was part of a group of Congress members who recently visited border immigration facilities in El Paso, Texas, and widely condemned detention centers housing unauthorized immigrants for being unsanitary and overcrowded. She later testified to the House Oversight Committee about her experience, which was sharply critical of border agents handling of the detention centers.

No sharing: Ilhan Omar says AOC 'squad' is 'trying to grab' power from leadership
PHILADELPHIA — Members of New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s “squad” defended their colleague amid a rift with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, without mentioning the top Democrat by name.
“Every single person in Congress has a role. Our role is to take our votes and leadership’s role is to wrangle votes,” Rep. Ilhan Omar, a Democrat from Minnesota, said Saturday at Netroots Nation, an annual conference for liberal activists.
“There’s a constant struggle oftentimes with people who have power about sharing that power. We are not really in the business of asking for the share of that power. We’re in the business of trying to grab that power,” she said.

She Falsely Accused Two Police Officers Of Rape. She Was Sentenced To Just 23 Months In Jail.
A Pennsylvania woman who falsely accused two State Police troopers of rape was sentenced to just 23 months in prison for her crimes. She likely won’t even serve the full sentence.
False rape accusations are classified simply as filing false police reports, which is what Christine Cromer, 38, was charged with, along with unsworn falsification. The Citizens’ Voice, a news outlet for Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, reported that Cromer was convicted in April and that Assistant District Attorney Angela Sperrazza argued for the woman to face jail time since her claims damaged the troopers’ reputations.
“This wasn’t one lie,” Sperrazza reportedly said. “This was continuous lies.”

ICE Acting Director Rips Sanctuary City Mayors For Helping Illegal Aliens Avoid Arrest
Acting Immigration and Customs Enforcement Director Matthew Albence took a swipe at U.S. mayors who announced their opposition to planned immigration raids.
“The entire public is safer when law enforcement works together,” Albence said Sunday on Fox News, reacting to several mayors across the country who declared they would not be helping federal immigration authorities locate and apprehend illegal aliens living in their jurisdictions.
“It’s incredulous that it’s OK for these law enforcement agencies and these jurisdictions to enforce the laws that they’re sworn to uphold, but when we come in to do our enforcement that we’re sworn to uphold, all the sudden it’s a problem,” he said.

Pro-Trump Home Depot Co-Founder, 90, After Trump-Haters Target Him: ‘It Sure As Hell Is Not Going To Stop Me’
On Wednesday, Bernie Marcus, the co-founder of Home Depot, blasted critics who slammed him for openly stating he would vote for President Trump in 2020. Marcus wrote in a Facebook post that he had been enjoying celebrating his 90th birthday and the $117 million raised to honor him that was donated to four charities when he heard about the rampant criticism of him for the report he was supporting Trump. He wrote on Facebook, “Am I in China? Argentina? Russia? That's what it feels like to me. It saddens me that our country has come to this, where I, as a private citizen, cannot express my feelings. It angers me and it saddens me, but it sure as hell is not going to stop me. If you thought it would, you've got the wrong guy.”
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution had published an interview with Marcus on June 30 in which they noted that Marcus had donated roughly $250 million to build the Georgia Aquarium and millions for an autistic center in Atlanta. AJC reported, “Marcus told the AJC that he plans to support the president’s re-election bid.”
That comment triggered anti-Trump partisans to attack Marcus on Twitter, calling for a boycott of Home Depot. Forbes reported that Marcus has said he has donated over $2 billion to charitable organizations around the world; Forbes added, “It’s estimated he could give away over $6 billion in his lifetime.” Marcus had told AJC, “Everything I live for now is finding the right things to put my money into and that can give me a rate of return in emotion and doing good things for this world.”

Former State Department Employee Sentenced for Conspiring with Chinese Agents
Received Tens of Thousands of Dollars in Benefits from Two Chinese Agents in Exchange for Internal State Department Documents
Candace Marie Claiborne, a former employee of the U.S. Department of State, was sentenced today to 40 months in prison, three years of supervised release and a fine of $40,000 for conspiracy to defraud the United States, by lying to law enforcement and background investigators, and hiding her extensive contacts with, and gifts from, agents of the People’s Republic of China, in exchange for providing them with internal documents from the U.S. State Department.
The announcement was made by Assistant Attorney General for National Security John C. Demers, U.S. Attorney Jessie K. Liu of the District of Columbia, Acting Assistant Director John P. Selleck of the FBI’s Washington Field Office and Deputy Assistant Secretary Ricardo Colón, Domestic Operations, U.S. Department of State’s Diplomatic Security Service.
“Chinese intelligence agents convinced Candace Marie Claiborne to trade her integrity and confidential information of the United States government for cash and other gifts for herself and her family,” said Assistant Attorney General Demers. “Claiborne withheld information and lied repeatedly about these foreign intelligence contacts. Violations of the public’s trust are an affront to our citizens and to all those who honor their oaths. With this sentencing, justice has been imposed for these dishonorable criminal acts.”
“Candace Claiborne received gifts from foreign officials and lied to investigators repeatedly about her role in defrauding the U.S. government,” said U.S. Attorney Liu. “Claiborne violated her oath as a State Department employee and today’s sentence should send a message to those who abuse their positions of trust.
We will continue to seek prosecution and hold those accountable for their illegal actions.”

Breaking: Trump administration moves to end protections for Central American asylum seekers
The Trump administration on Monday moved to end asylum protections for most Central American migrants in a major escalation of the president's battle to tamp down the number of people crossing the U.S.-Mexico border.
According to a new rule published in the Federal Register, asylum seekers who pass through another country first will be ineligible for asylum at the U.S. southern border. The rule, expected to go into effect on Tuesday, also applies to children who have crossed the border alone. The new rule will affect asylum seekers coming through Mexico from countries like Guatemala and El Salvador.
There are some exceptions: If someone has been trafficked, if the country the migrant passed through did not sign one of the major international treaties that govern how refugees are managed (though most Western countries have signed them) or if an asylum-seeker sought protection in a country but was denied, then a migrant could still apply for U.S. asylum.

Special edition: President Trump’s historic social media summit
President Donald J. Trump welcomed a group of digital communications leaders and online influencers to the White House on Thursday, where he hosted a first-of-its-kind summit on the importance of freedom of speech online.
“Each of you is fulfilling a vital role in our nation: You’re challenging the media gatekeepers and the corporate censors to bring the facts straight to the American people.”
Free speech and expression are at the core of American democracy. Censorship is not. It’s unacceptable that conservative voices continue to be unfairly stifled by some of the largest, most powerful media and technology companies in the world. The President has pledged that this bias, dishonesty, discrimination, and suppression will not stand.

Broken Bloomberg
A scheme by Michael Bloomberg to punish oil producers by placing hand-picked environmental lawyers in attorney general offices could be breaking apart.
The billionaire former mayor of New York City created a pipeline at New York University's law school called the State Energy and Environmental Impact Center (SEEIC). It grooms law students to become environmentalist attorney and then pays their salaries once they join state attorney general offices across the nation. Maryland Deputy Attorney General Carolyn Quattrocki said in a 2017 email to colleagues that the purpose of hiring SEEIC-sponsored lawyers was driven by partisanship.
"The gist is that Bloomberg is funding through NYU some fellowship positions for mid-career environmental litigators to be farmed out to State Attorneys General to join the fight against Trump's rollback of our environmental protection laws and regulations," she wrote.
While Quattrocki and Maryland Attorney General Frosh disclosed their motivations in private emails to colleagues, other states went public about the partnerships.

‘Clone tick’ swarms, new to U.S., are killing cattle by draining their blood
Worried about a Cascadia subduction-zone earthquake? Worried about nuclear war? Worried about climate change?
Phhffft!
Those potential calamities are nothing. If you want to really have nightmares, read on to find out what’s happening to cows in North Carolina -- and what it could mean for humans.
Asian long-horned ticks, also sometimes called “clone ticks” because they can reproduce without mating, have killed five cows in the Tar Heel State this year -- by draining them of blood. Each cow was infested by hundreds of ticks.
“The official cause of death,” writes technology news site Ars Technica, “was acute anemia, which is typically associated with severe hemorrhaging.”
These ticks are extremely aggressive; New Jersey health investigators in 2017 reported them swiftly clambering up their legs while they investigated a tick assault on a sheep paddock. The ticks’ usual killing grounds are in Russia and Asia, where they are known to spread various serious diseases to humans. It’s not known how or exactly when they arrived in the U.S. So far the ones found in North America have not carried disease.
67 counties in the United States have confirmed local Asian long-horned tick populations. Virginia has the most counties with 24 confirmed.

Uh-Oh, Joe! Democratic Rivals Catch On To The Fact You And Obama Deported Millions Of Illegal Aliens
Poor Joe Biden. The career politician simply cannot catch a break from progressives on the 2020 Democratic primary presidential campaign trail. The latest thorn in Biden's side stems from his years serving under his "best friend" President Barack Obama. It is somewhat of an odd fact, but President Trump's immediate predecessor actually deported more individuals than he has so far at this point in office. Sadly, for Biden however, the progressives are now calling for what is tantamount to open borders. Thus they are turning even on the former Messiah of the Democratic Party due to his enforcement of immigration law and saying that Biden must answer for the actions Obama office took.
As pointed out by the RNC's Steve Guest, Mayor Bill de Blasio slammed Biden on CNN today saying that he "absolutely" should explain why the United States deported millions of illegal aliens when he was vice president. The answer, of course, for conservatives is pretty simple -- they were here illegally. But, Democrats, in their ever desire to inch increasingly more leftist, now believe it racist to deport any illegal alien.

Nikki Haley slams 'disgusting' silence from Dems after Mexican flag raised at ICE facility
Former United Nations ambassador Nikki Haley on Sunday condemned prominent Democrats for staying mum after protesters demonstrating outside a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility last week pulled down the American flag and flew the flag of Mexico in its place.
Crews in Aurora, Colorado, restored the American flag Friday evening. The protesters also removed a "Blue Lives Matter" flag, honoring law enforcement, spray-painted it with the words "Abolish ICE," then raised the flag upside-down, on a pole next to the Mexican flag, local media reported.
"There are no words for why the Democrats are staying silent on this," Haley wrote. "If this is your way to winning an election, fire your strategist. This is disgusting. Love your country. And if you don’t like what is happening then tell the members of Congress to get to work and fix it."

Pro-China Communists Working to Mobilize 40 Million New Voters Against Trump
President Donald Trump and the Republican Party had better be ready for a tsunami of new Democratic voters coming their way in 2020.
Far from the easy victory many pundits are predicting, there’s a strong chance that the president and his party (strong economy notwithstanding) may be overwhelmed by an unexpected wave of new voters coming mainly from the South and Southwest.
The same pro-China, communist-led organizations that almost won gubernatorial races in Florida and Georgia in 2018, and have almost turned once-reliably Republican Virginia blue, are aiming to mobilize a staggering 40 million new voters against President Trump.
If this network can mobilize just 20 percent of the new voters they are targeting, Trump will be a one-term president. Donald Trump Jr.’s recent prediction that the 2020 election will be a battle between “freedom and communism” will prove horribly accurate.

Trump: Sad to see Democrats sticking up for Israel haters
President Donald Trump on Sunday night doubled down on tweets telling a group of Democrat congresswomen that they should "go back" to the countries that they came from.
"So sad to see the Democrats sticking up for people who speak so badly of our Country and who, in addition, hate Israel with a true and unbridled passion. Whenever confronted, they call their adversaries, including Nancy Pelosi, 'RACIST,'" Trump wrote.
"Their disgusting language and the many terrible things they say about the United States must not be allowed to go unchallenged. If the Democrat Party wants to continue to condone such disgraceful behavior, then we look even more forward to seeing you at the ballot box in 2020!" he added.
The two tweets were a response to outrage over tweets Trump made earlier on Sunday in which he targeted a group of unnamed progressive congresswomen "who originally came from countries whose governments are a complete and total catastrophe."
In the tweets, Trump suggested the lawmakers "go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came."

Reports: ICE has begun raids to round up undocumented migrants
Immigration authorities have begun conducting raids, a senior administration official said Sunday, in an operation expected to target about 2,000 undocumented migrants ordered by courts to be removed from the country.
The Wall Street Journal also confirmed the development, citing a source.
The raids, which will focus on recent arrivals to the country, are slated for Atlanta, Baltimore, Chicago, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York and San Francisco, a senior immigration official said. New Orleans is also on the list, but the city tweeted last week that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement said it would suspend operations through the weekend in areas hit by Tropical Storm Barry.
Acting U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Director Ken Cuccinelli took issue with referring to the targets of the raids as undocumented.
"They're not undocumented. They've got a court order on a piece of paper -- federal order -- that says they've gotten due process, and (there are) over a million people with removal orders. That's the pool that ICE is drawing from," he told CNN.
ICE will not comment on operational details of the raids, Cuccinelli said, adding that the priority will be apprehending violent criminals and aggravated felons. ICE agents are not "utilizing" allegations of crossing the border illegally, a misdemeanor, as cause for arrest in the raids, he said.

USWNT shuts out Netherlands to win another World Cup
LYON, France — The United States won its record fourth Women’s World Cup title and second in a row, beating the Netherlands 2-0 Sunday night when Megan Rapinoe converted a penalty kick in the second half and Rose Lavelle added a goal.
Rapinoe, the pink-haired U.S. captain who grabbed world-wide attention on and off the field, scored in the 61st minute after a video review determined Stefanie van der Gragt had fouled Alex Morgan with a kick to the shoulder in the penalty area.
Two days past her 34th birthday, Rapinoe slotted the ball past goalkeeper Sari van Veenendaal for her 50th international goal, her sixth of the tournament to win the Golden Ball as scoring leader. The oldest player to score in a Women’s World Cup final, she struck a familiar victorious pose with arms outstretched.

Minimum wage bill could eliminate 1.3 million jobs, CBO says
Democrats’ signature policy proposal to raise the federal minimum wage would cost roughly 1.3 million jobs nationwide, even as it boosts wages for 17 million workers and lift 1.3 million families out of poverty, according to a report by the Congressional Budget Office released Monday.
The report — which offers the most detailed analysis to date of the proposed $15 hourly federal wage — is a mixed bag for House Democratic leaders, who are just days away from putting the legislation on the floor.
The Democratic bill, which would phase in the $15 minimum over five years, only recently won enough support from across the caucus to reach a floor vote.
CBO’s finding that a $15 hourly minimum would result in 1.3 million jobs lost was a median estimate. CBO's upper estimate of 3.7 million jobs lost poses another test for Democratic centrists, many of whom were skeptical about the impact on local businesses. (CBO's lower estimate was that the number of jobs lost would be "about zero.")

DONATING GOOSE MEAT TO FOOD BANKS?
Often when we hear that a city is planning a round-up and slaughter of Canada geese, community leaders are quick to inform us that they plan to donate the meat from the slaughtered geese to food banks. Saying this appears to appease many people who might otherwise be opposed to the round-up and slaughter. However, does this really happen?
There is very little information available on reported contaminated goose meat because the cost of testing and processing the goose meat for donation to food banks comes out of the community's budget, i.e. taxpayers pocket. Rather than incur an unnecessary added expense, most community leaders chose to have the geese buried in a landfill.
Canada geese ingest a variety of chemical toxins which are prevalent in the environment. These toxins are absorbed in the birds' tissue. The problem with eating goose meat is not what is known but what is unknown. The following considerations should be taken seriously when goose meat is donated to food banks.

Maryland Is The Worst State For Retirement, Study Says
BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Despite all of the great things about Maryland from seafood, beaches, wineries, and more — it’s ranked as the worst state for retirement.
For this study, Bankrate looked at affordability, weather and a number of other factors important to retirees.
Maryland ranked dead last at no. 50 overall. It ranked no. 47 for affordability, no. 33 for crime, no. 42 for culture, no. 18 for weather, and no. 37 for wellness.
“Where to live is probably one of the most personal decisions one can make because it’s not just about preferences, it’s also about the financial considerations that are associated with it,” says Mark Hamrick, senior economic analyst at Bankrate.

Florida principal reassigned after he told parent he 'can't say the Holocaust is a factual, historical event'
A principal of a Florida high school has been removed from his job after he allegedly refused to say the Holocaust actually happened because "not everyone believes" the historical event — in which more than six million people were murdered — actually happened.
William Latson, principal of Spanish River High School in Boca Raton, was reassigned to an unspecified new position, the Palm Beach County School District said in a statement, as the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reported.
“In addition to being offensive, the principal’s statement is not supported by either the School District Administration or the School Board," the district said Monday, as the news outlet reported.

Ocasio-Cortez Blames Republicans For DC Flooding
Democratic New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez directed her ire at Republicans after historic flash flooding ravaged the nation’s capital Monday.
Washington D.C. saw 2.79 inches of rain in just one hour, topping the 1945 record of 2.05 inches in the same time period, according to The Washington Post. The freshman Democratic congresswoman appeared to blame Republican support for the fossil fuel industry for the flooding.
“Unprecedented flooding is quickly becoming a new normal,” she tweeted. “Despite that, Republicans are tripling down on fossil fuels w/no plan to transition off them, or make the critical infra investments we need to prep for the climate crisis.”

Baltimore Teen’s Family ‘Blessed With So Much Love…’ After Spinal Injury In OC
OCEAN CITY – The Fourth of July holiday weekend was marred when a Baltimore teen suffered a significant neck and spinal cord injury in the surf.
On July 4, Ben Paepcke, a 2018 graduate of Calvert Hall College High School in Baltimore, was body-surfing with his friends in front of a lifeguard stand when he dove under and did not come up, according to a Go Fund Me page set up in his name by his family. Ocean City Beach Patrol lifeguards immediately assessed the situation and rushed into the water to rescue Paepke.
Other OCBP lifeguards in the area also responded and assisted in stabilizing Paepcke’s neck and back. Once stabilized, Paepcke was transported from the beach. At the hospital, it was discovered Paepcke had broken his neck at C5 and suffered a spinal cord injury. Once he was stabilized, Paepke was transported to Shock Trauma in Baltimore where he was undergoing testing and preparing for multiple surgeries.

This grant supports the capacity-building of African American museums and the growth and development of museum professionals at African American museums. A total of $2.2 million in funds has been awarded to 14 grantees.

Attorney General Frosh Joins Coalition Opposing HUD Proposed Rule to Deny Critical Housing Assistance to Immigrants
More Than 55,000 Children Could Be Left Homeless If Implemented
BALTIMORE, MD – Maryland Attorney General Brian E. Frosh, joining a coalition of 23 states, today submitted a comment letter to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) opposing a proposed rule that would deny housing assistance to mixed-status families that include any undocumented immigrants.
The new proposal would result in the eviction of thousands of families, including many children and lawful residents and citizens, who rely on housing assistance for their homes. If enacted, the proposed rule will harm the states, their residents, their local economies, and the public health.
“HUD’s proposed rule is another step in the Administration’s family separation policy,” said Attorney General Frosh. “This rule would force parents out of the homes and lives of their children. It is a policy that is both cruel and counterproductive.”
For more than 30 years, laws governing public housing and HUD rules have prioritized family unity and the preservation of the family unit. Accordingly, the law has for decades allowed families with mixed immigration status to receive public housing subsidies, so long as ineligible family members did not themselves receive any financial subsidies. The new proposal, announced in April 2019, would prohibit family members who are undocumented from residing in their homes. In many cases, the eligible family members are children, and these minors would not be able to live without their parents, resulting in the effective eviction of entire families.
As HUD’s own analysis concludes, the proposed rule would eliminate housing assistance for more than 108,000 people, including at least 55,000 children, many of whom are U.S. citizens or otherwise eligible for housing assistance.
In the comment letter submitted today, the attorneys general argue that this substantial loss of housing benefits will also cause significant economic and social harms to the states, including greater homelessness, reduced productivity, and a higher incidence of major health problems for those impacted by the rule.
States will have to bear significant administrative and social benefit costs if the rule goes into effect. Private housing providers will be far less likely to participate in subsidized housing programs, leaving states to find additional affordable housing options and plan for increased rates of evictions and homelessness.
In addition to Maryland, today’s letter is signed by the attorneys general of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, the District of Columbia, Hawaii, Illinois, Iowa, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, New Mexico, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, and Washington.
Father of Kamala Harris Says Her Ancestors Owned Slaves
The father of Kamala Harris detailed how their ancestors owned slaves, an inconvenient part of her history as she has spent much of her campaign focusing on race politics.
The Democrats have been up in arms about an NBC News report that detailed how Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s great-great-grandfathers owned slaves in Alabama in the 1800s.
Donald Harris, a Stanford University economics professor and father of 2020 Democrat candidate, wrote about how they are descendant of an Irishman who owned a slave plantation in Jamaica in a piece titled “Reflections of a Jamaican Father.”
“My roots go back, within my lifetime, to my paternal grandmother Miss Chrishy (née Christiana Brown, descendant of Hamilton Brown who is on record as plantation and slave owner and founder of Brown’s Town),” Mr. Harris wrote in his article for Jamaica Global.

Lawmaker Proposes Bill Allowing Americans to Contribute for Border Wall When Filing Taxes
Rep. Mark Green (R-TN) has introduced a bill that would allow Americans to directly contribute to a fund for President Donald Trump’s border wall when filing their taxes with the IRS every year, his office confirmed to Breitbart News exclusively.
“Taxpayer dollars should never be used to advance political campaigns. But keeping Americans safe must be our #1 priority,” Green said in a release provided to Breitbart News ahead of its public release. “Americans spoke loud and clear in the 2016 election that we want a wall to secure our southern border. Congress has clearly been unable to get the job done. My bill will give every American the opportunity to directly help President Trump build the wall.”
The bill, officially titled the Dollars for the Wall Act, would change the IRS 1040 form people file when they pay their taxes every year to allow a direct contribution to a border wall fund. Currently, the 1040 form has a box that filers can check that would direct $3–or $6 for joint filers–to what is called the Presidential Election Campaign Fund.

Bill Clinton Denies Knowing Anything About His Pedophile Friend Jeffery Epstein But Flight Logs Show Otherwise
Former President Bill Clinton, who is longtime friends with pedophile Jeffery Epstein, has released a statement about the billionaire's arrest over the weekend and charges related to child sex abuse and trafficking.
"President Clinton knows nothing about the terrible crimes Jeffery Epstein pleaded guilty to in Florida some years ago, or those with which he has been recently charged in New York. In 2002 and 2003, President Clinton took a total of four trips on Jeffrey Epstein's airplane: one to Europe, one to Asia, and two to Africa, which included stops in connection with the work of the Clinton Foundation," Clinton's spokesperson said. "Staff, supporters of the Foundation, and his Secretary Service detail traveled on every leg of every trip. He had one meeting with Epstein in his Harlem office in 2002, and around the same time, made one brief visit to Epstein's New York apartment with a staff member and his security detail. He's not spoken to Epstein in well over a decade, and has never been to Little St. James Island, Epstein's ranch in New Mexico, or his residence in Florida."
According to extensive reporting and flight logs, Clinton took at least 26 trips to Epstein's private island where much of the abuse occurred. He ditched his Secret Service detail to do so.

The New York Times reported Thursday that the massive deportation operation President Trump delayed two weeks ago will be deployed this Sunday.
Trump’s deportation operation is targeting illegals who already have deportation orders, yet Democrat leaders are giving them advice on how to evade ICE agents!
AOC fired off a tweet:
“ICE will launch raids across 10 major cities this SUNDAY. Check your neighbors & know your rights. Remember: no one can enter your home without a *judicial warrant.*” she said.
“Sometimes ICE will try to show other papers to get in your house. Judicial warrants are from a court,” AOC added.

PHOTO: JEFFREY EPSTEIN’S ALLEGED PIMP ATTENDS CHELSEA CLINTON WEDDING
A photograph from 2010 shows the accomplice of accused sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein attending the wedding of Chelsea Clinton, the daughter of President Bill Clinton.
In a Getty Images photograph documenting the July 31, event, Ghislaine Maxwell can be seen smirking at the camera as Bill walks Chelsea down the aisle.
The photo provides further proof of Epstein and his associates’ close ties to the Clinton dynasty.
Maxwell, whose social circle includes members of the UK royal family, has been named in several lawsuits as the woman who helped procure and transport underage girls which provided the billionaire massages and ultimately sexual favors.

Hurd: 'I Shouldn't Be Only African-American Republican' in House
Rep. Will Hurd, R-Texas, says he’d like to see a more diverse Republican Party, and that it should be “a broad party.”
In an interview aired Sunday on NBC News’ “Meet the Press,” Hurd lamented the lack of African-Americans in Congress — and said the GOP must be more diverse to win voters.
"I think the Republican Party should be a broad party,” he said.
“I shouldn't be the only African-American Republican in the House of Representatives,” he said, adding that “ruby-red Texas" is "actually purple."
"If we want to keep a Republican Party in Texas, the Republican Party in Texas needs to start looking like Texas,” he said. “I think that goes for the rest of the country as well.”

WHOA! Pervert Jeffrey Epstein Flew Clintons to Orgy Island – Robert Mueller Was Involved, Let Them Off
We reported in November 2018 that the Miami Herald published an extensive report on Democrat donor and Clinton confidant Jeffrey Epstein’s child sex allegations –
Epstein abused dozens, if not hundreds, of teen girls.
It is well documented that former President Bill Clinton flew on convicted child sex offender Jeffrey Epstein’s private jet.
And Robert Mueller was FBI director when Epstein was given a lenient 13 month jail stint for his years of child sex abuse.
