Democratic New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez directed her ire at Republicans after historic flash flooding ravaged the nation’s capital Monday.
Washington D.C. saw 2.79 inches of rain in just one hour, topping the 1945 record of 2.05 inches in the same time period, according to The Washington Post. The freshman Democratic congresswoman appeared to blame Republican support for the fossil fuel industry for the flooding.
“Unprecedented flooding is quickly becoming a new normal,” she tweeted. “Despite that, Republicans are tripling down on fossil fuels w/no plan to transition off them, or make the critical infra investments we need to prep for the climate crisis.”

Cortez is the biggest snowflake in existance to be running for the highest office in our country if she gets 1% I will be really, really, really surprised their cannot be that number of people if they pause and think would answer this with a yes. Immigrants and people under 21 would be her whole pool of voters.
