A day after new records were made public showing Hillary Clinton said from the start the 2012 Benghazi attack was not linked to an obscure anti-Islam film, the father of a former Navy SEAL killed that night told Fox News she blamed the filmmaker for his son's death in a conversation with him.
Charles Woods, father of Ty Woods, who died defending the CIA annex, shared with Fox News the diary notes he took after his encounter with Clinton during the ceremony on Sept. 14, 2012, when the bodies were flown back to the U.S.
"I gave Hillary a hug and shook her hand. And she said we are going to have the film maker arrested who was responsible for the death of my son," the entry says.
"She said -- the filmmaker who was responsible for the death of your son," Woods emphasized as he read his diary entry. Woods attended Thursday's hearing where the former secretary of state testified to the Benghazi congressional committee.
"She wasn't saying the failed foreign policy that I was responsible for. It wasn't her taking the blame for it. It says we are going to place the responsibility [for] the death of your son on the filmmaker," he said.

Maryland Department of Disabilities: The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation Governor's Citation
Funding for eligible projects under this initiative includes a $2 million grant from The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation and financial assistance from the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) through its Multifamily Rental Housing Program. The Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DHMH) and the Maryland Department of Disabilities (MDOD) have partnered to qualify eligible households, refer potential tenants to property managers, and to ensure that these units remain occupied.
The units at Rivers Edge represent a unique combination of artist preference apartment homes and fully accessible units offered under the Weinberg program. The development was created on a piece of property which was formerly an unfinished construction of condominiums which lay vacant for some time before the project's inception. The project not only provides homes for those most in need but also reinvigorated a formerly unused space at the water's edge in Salisbury.

That’s because a recent study suggests motorists are less likely to stop for an African American pedestrian in a crosswalk. A black pedestrian’s wait time at the curb was about 32 percent longer than a white person’s. Black pedestrians were about twice as likely as white pedestrians to be passed by multiple vehicles.
The small but provocative study — conducted by researchers at Portland State University in Oregon and the University of Arizona — suggests that biases just outside people’s conscious awareness can make them less likely to yield to minority pedestrians. And that could put those pedestrians at risk, said Kimberly B. Kahn, an assistant professor of social psychology at Portland State University.

Columnn Says fat people should be charged more to fly
If airlines want to charge by the pound for passengers and their luggage on a private business basis, I have no problem with that. That has to do with space and fuel usage. However, I have a problem with the term ‘fat tax.’ Many of the big airlines out there are now no longer exactly ‘privately’ owned. All are heavily regulated by the Feds and the industry almost looks nationalized these days. Careful where you go with a fat tax. The minute the Progressives bureaucrats succeed in getting it implemented, it will spread everywhere. You could be taxed when you go out to eat, or when you take a train, cab or boat. You could be taxed at hotels and when you shop at retail outlets… all because you are deemed ‘fat.’ This has been the goal all along for Marxists. It’s another way to control the masses and force them to lose weight one way or the other.

Poll: 85 percent of voters think the U.S. is on wrong track
An overwhelming majority of American voters think the country is headed down the wrong path, according to a new public opinion survey commissioned by Clout Research.
The new poll of about 800 likely voters found that only nine of 100 Republicans and 15 of 100 independents believe the country is going in the right direction. A little over 50 percent of self-identified Democrats (51.9 percent) believe the country has taken a turn for the worst while 83.9 percent of independents and 87.4 percent of Republicans hold the same belief.
Despite enjoying a president from their own party, only 44 of 100 Democrats in the survey said they believe the U.S. "is on the right track."
"The latest WND.com/Clout Research survey shows that the dramatic dissatisfaction that Republican voters toward the Obama administration since early in his first term has spread to include all of Washington," Fritz Wenzel, a partner at Clout Research, said in a statement accompanying the results.

S.C. teacher bites off teen’s tongue during attempted rape in her home
It seems there is never an end to the crazies. A 16-year old young man attempted to rape a 33-year old woman in her home in South Carolina, but she fought back by biting off his tongue.
“Stop fighting and I won’t hurt you,” Antoine Miller, who’s charged as an adult in the case, allegedly told the 33-year-old woman after tackling her while armed with a knife, the Smoking Gun reported.
When she opened her door, she said Miller grabbed her and carried her to a bedroom where his attempt to take her shorts off was met with a kick in the groin.

Ciara Murphy and Cordelia Roberts were, by coincidence, both studying in the city of Bremen when friends quickly realized that they looked nearly identical, the New York Daily News reports.
“When I was going on nights out, people were starting to ask me did I come here with a sister, or a twin,” Murphy, from Wexford, Ireland, said.

Patient privacy was one of the first things to go, and it looks like the billions we’ve spent to make diagnosing illness in Americans hasn’t paid off. We are not receiving better healthcare, nor is the already-overburdened medical system saving money from the efforts to digitize.
Medical staff already has access to patient records, but once it is digitized it is available for anyone with a little cyber skill. One woman had her private medical records pasted all over the Internetrecently when an employee of a Los Angeles County emergency room snapped a picture of her when she was admitted for severe pain. Though this scenario is extreme, it exemplifies just how easily patient breach of privacy occurs.
And to what end? In Verona, Wisconsin there is a 1000 acre property dedicated to the company Epic Systems, responsible for the medical records of over 179 million Americans; in other words 56% of the country. The company’s annual meeting draws IT managers to an 11,400 ‘deep space auditorium.’
Epic has grown into the country’s leading vendor of software in the $9.3 billion electronic health records (EHR) sector, pulling in $1.8 billion in 2014 and expanding at a rate of about 1,000 new employees a year. Kaiser Permanente, CVS’s Minute Clinics, Johns Hopkins, and Mount Sinai all use Epic.

BLM ILLEGALLY SOLD THOUSANDS OF WILD HORSES FOR SLAUGHTER: REPORT
The Bureau of Land Management, the agency tasked with protecting wild horses and cattle and their grazing lands, sold 1,794 federally-protected wild horses to a Colorado rancher who sent them to slaughter, a new report confirmed.
Between 2009 and 2012, rancher Tom Davis purchased the horses through the agency’s Wild Horse and Burro Program (WH&B) and wrongfully sent them to slaughter, according to the report from the Interior Department’s Office of Inspector General. According to the allegations and news reports,Mr. Davis also had farming and trucking connections with former Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar.
“We determined that BLM did not follow current law while managing WH&B. BLM also failed to follow its own policy of limiting horse sales and ensuring that the horses sold went to good homes and were not slaughtered,” investigators wrote in the report.
Mr. Davis admitted that most of the horses that he purchased through the BLM went to slaughter.

Skin self-examinations consist of periodically looking over your body for any changes in color, shape or texture of a mole, the development of a new mole or any other unusual changes in the skin. Any of these signs should be reported to a dermatologist right away. A survey commissioned by the Academy showed that less than one-third of Americans currently examine their skin for signs of melanoma and more than half don’t know the signs of melanoma. Dermatologists want to change this because when treated in its earliest stages, melanoma can be cured. If not treated early, the disease can quickly spread to other parts of the body and be fatal.

After spending nearly two decades as a teacher and school administrator, you might expect Kristi Rangle to enthusiastically praise the teaching profession.
She did the opposite, however, in a powerful blog post on The Urban Edge, where she largely disparaged the current state of teaching and explained the reason why she advises her daughter, currently pursuing an education degree, not to go through with it.
"I fear she – like many other teachers – will be scapegoated as the reason public education is failing," Rangle wrote.
She laid out the systemic reasons for the failure of public education, asserting that the quality of teachers, while touted as the most important factor of student success, is not the real problem.
"We have created schools that are functioning well below their capacity because of a lack of funds," Rangle explained. She spoke about the need for adequate funding, especially for teachers who work with disadvantaged populations of students.

Law enforcement agencies in the US have hit back at Apple for not unlocking an iPhone that could help them solve a criminal investigation they're working on.
The US Justice Department wants Apple to bypass the lock screen on an iPhone in compliance with a search warrant but Apple is refusing to comply.
The case, being held at the District Court’s Eastern District of New York, involves an iPhone 5s, according to the Electronic Frontier Foundation.
Technically, Apple has the ability to access data on the iPhone 5s because it is running the company's iOS 7 operating system, which lacks the encryption features that have been built into subsequent versions of Apple's mobile software.
However, Apple is refusing to unlock the phone for the Justice Department on the grounds that it will "threaten the trust between Apple and its customers and substantially tarnish the brand."

Western Maryland to be Placed on the Auction Block
In a dramatic announcement late on Monday, Maryland State Comptroller, Peter Franchot, revealed that state officials were in high-level talks with representatives of both Pennsylvania and West Virginia to ascertain the possibility of the interest of either states purchasing Garrett , Allegany, and Washington counties, which comprise Maryland’s western panhandle.

Unidentified Body Found Along I-95 Near White Marsh
(KINGSVILLE, MD) Maryland State Police homicide investigators are conducting a detailed examination of a wooded area along the JFK Memorial Highway where an unidentified body was found earlier today in Baltimore County.
Shortly after 12:00 p.m., troopers from the John F. Kennedy Memorial Highway Barrack received a call from a member of the Maryland Transportation Authority Courtesy Patrol advising a body was lying in a wooded area along the fire service road near the 70.7 mile marker. Troopers immediately responded and found the body of a white male lying on the ground. The area was immediately secured and notification was made to investigators.
Maryland State Police Homicide Unit responded and has assumed the investigation. They are being assisted by members of the Criminal Enforcement Division and troopers from the JFK Highway Barrack. Crime scene technicians have also responded to assist with the collection of evidence. Investigators are unable to identify the remains at this time.

Before traveling to Nevada, photographer Marc McAndrews had never been to a strip club, let alone a brothel.
Now he’s been to every single one in the state.
Over the course of five years, McAndrews made regular trips to Nevada’s legal brothels, staying anywhere from a week to a month each time. He stayed in bedrooms in the houses, shared a bathroom with the working girls, and saw the world that no one — except those who work at the brothels — see.
“It’s a different experience when you wake up in the morning and have to pass the cereal and the milk to your subject. It changes the relationship,” explains McAndrews. “People’s guards go down and they become more at ease. They start to let you see their world.”

Uber is crushing the taxi industry that has dominated New York City — and other cities — for so many years.
Data from the Taxi and Limousine Commission analyzed by the New York Daily News shows total trips in the first half of 2015 were down 10 percent to 77 million, compared to same period last year. Revenues from yellow cab fares have declined as well. And in July, there were 100,000 Uber trips in New York City per day, a 4x increase from last summer.
It's hard for taxis to compete with Uber, the ubiquitous car-hailing service said to be raising anadditional $1 billion round of funding at a $60 to $70 billion valuation.
But a new startup called Karhoois hoping to give taxi drivers in several cities a leg up.

As a general statement, 21st birthdays are terrific. Once American adults have waited out the western world’s longest pre-legality period, a 21st is a debaucherous festival for all of us to share with our friends (and even families, if you’re comfortable with it). I’ve done it, and you’ve either done it or already are eagerly awaiting the chance to stride up to the door at R.J. Bentley’s and proudly present your real driver’s license and have an above-board good time.
Odds are that you’ll have a good and (sort of) memorable 21st birthday experience. But a detailed study from 2008 (about which we’ve wanted to write for some time) paints a scary picture of the fine line many of us walk on this special occasion.
Researchers Patricia Rutledge, Aesoon Park and Kenneth J. Sher polled 2,518 college students, and 83 percent of them said they drank to celebrate on their 21st birthday. Factor in that people tend to lie about perceived bad or unhealthy behavior even on anonymous surveys, and it’s reasonable to think even more college students than that might go out for drinks on 21st birthdays in particular.
Not all drinkers are created equal, of course. Students in Greek life were 90 percent likely to drink on their birthdays, while non-Greek students were 80 percent likely. For women, the figure is 85 percent against 80 percent for men. White students celebrate by drinking at an 84 percent clip, while non-whites are at 69 percent. But everybody is likelier to drink than not.
So, you’ve heard it here first: On 21st birthdays, college students drink. Groundbreaking, isn’t it? But the empirical data on how much we drink on these birthdays is sort of stunning. What Is Up With The Daily Times and the MSM? Gas Station-Police Shooting Story
In today's print edition of the daily times they covered an Associated Press, (copy & paste) story on the shooting yesterday involving a Maryland State Trooper. While I was tipped off by a viewer, their article, (the DT's) was quite disturbing.
The idea that the LIBERAL newspapers and press are making just about everything to do with white on black shootings. There's one original statement out of the entire story that in my opinion is completely out of line.
Jansen, who is white, has been placed on routine administrative leave. The man he shot was black, police said. Race has not been raised as a factor in the shooting, but it comes amid a national debate about the deaths of black men at the hands of police.

The big question is, take both races out of it and the story in itself would have sold papers or garnished enough attention. My problem is, why make it out to be something it's not. The media are not investigators, they were not on the scene, yet they are playing with words to stir the pot in this case.
In the Daily Times, (I'm told) they only published the cop was white and the victim was black and that's it. Again, WHY? In our day it was GOOD GUY vs. BAD GUY. There wasn't black vs. white. The race baiting needs to stop and I hope the people at the Daily Times come around and stop doing this because this isn't the first time they've done it.

When Casper spotted Snyder about 5:30 p.m., he eased his cruiser into southbound traffic, following the Corolla at a distance, keeping his lights and siren off.
About this story: To identify trends among fatal shootings by police, The Post studied whether the individuals killed were unarmed or armed with weapons and reviewed the actions they took in the immediate moments before police shot them. The Post has compiled a database of all fatal shootings nationwide by officers in the line of duty in 2015.

Alleged teen gang member used Twitter to sell guns, authorities say
NEWARK — An Essex County grand jury indicted a 19-year-old Bloomfield man Friday on charges he used Twitter to orchestrate a host of gang-related crimes, including the sale of illegal firearms.
Bomani Duncan now stands accused of 22 counts of robbery, gun trafficking and multiple other charges, said Essex County Prosecutor's Office spokeswoman Katherine Carter.
Two other men—Taquan Williams, 19, and Yasin Shabazz, 18—both of East Orange, were indicted on related charges, Carter said.
Authorities allege that starting on Feb. 18, Duncan conspired with others to illegally sell guns in furtherance of a G-Shine set of the Bloods Street Gang dispute with a rival group.

On a personal level, it’s impossible not to feel great sympathy for Joe Biden when he talked about his son Beau, who died of brain cancer in May at age 46. His anguish still visible on Wednesday, as he announced he would not seek the presidency, Biden said he was making a “personal” commitment to seek instead a cure for cancer; as he put it, “I’m going to spend the next 15 months in this office pushing as hard as I can to accomplish this.”
Moreover, Biden went further: He summoned up the memory of John F. Kennedy—a hero to most Americans, and all Democrats—when he called for “a moon shot in this country to cure cancer.” That’s some ambitious thinking; as we all know, the Apollo project, landing astronauts on the moon in 1969, was one of the great triumphs of American history.
But of course, it’s easy to see why Biden feels as he does about cancer— and it’s also easy to see that most Americans agree with him. After all, some 600,000 Americans die from the disease every year; cancer has been called “The Emperor of Maladies” for good reason.

Between Memorial Day and Labor Day, about 7 billion hot dogs will be consumed in the U.S., and on the Fourth of July more than150 million hot dogs will be consumed alone. Clear Foods, which “uses genomic technology to analyze the world’s foods at a molecular level, ingredient by ingredient,” released a report recently that it said was designed to look at the accuracy of the content labels of several major hot dog brands.A new report, however, adds extra meaning to the phrase “you don’t want to know how the sausage gets made.”
The company analyzed 345 hot dog and sausage products from 75 brands and 10 retailers, and said they found “human DNA in 2% of the samples, and in 2/3rds of the vegetarian samples.”
Additionally, 10 percent of all vegetarian products appeared to contain meat.

Did you watch Hillary Clinton’s testimony before the House Select Committee on Benghazi? If you did you should get a colonoscopy soon, because in those 11 hours you had enough smoke blown up there to give colon cancer to everyone in the country.
If we had an honest media, the headlines Friday would have been about how the former secretary of state and current Democratic Party front-runner for president was caught lying to the American public about the cause of the Benghazi attack. Headlines would scream of how Hillary Clinton said one thing in private – to her daughter, the leaders of Libya and Egypt – and the exact opposite to the American people.
There was a time when knowingly and willfully telling someone the reverse of what is true was called a lie. Now it’s considered a creative interpretation. Hillary knew while the attack was ongoing, and told her daughter Chelsea in an email, that the terrorist attack on the US compound in Benghazi was “by an Al Queda-like (sic) group.” Does Chelsea have special security clearance allowing her to receive real-time briefings on ongoing terrorist attacks on Americans? Are security clearances transmitted via DNA? Of course not.
Hillary Clinton doesn’t want to lie to her own child. Everyone else? Sure, why not? Everyone else is disposable the moment they outlive their usefulness.
Even those who are still useful, still trying desperately to remain in the good graces of our would-be queen, tread so lightly as to be ready for humiliation at her whim.

Seven out of ten “Republican and Republican-leaning registered voters” say businessman Donald Trump is the GOP’s “strongest general election candidate,” based upon a newly released Associated Press-GfK poll.
Trump’s edge is the largest for any candidate, while “6 in 10 say the same for retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson, who, like Trump, has tapped into the powerful wave of antiestablishment anger defining the early phases of the 2016 contest.”
“It’s the lifelong establishment politicians on both sides that rub me the wrong way,” said registered Republican Joe Selig, a 60-year-old carpenter from Vallejo, California. “I think Trump is more electable. He’s strong. We need strength these days.”
As the AP points out, the poll “highlights the sharp contrast between the party’s voters and its top professionals regarding the billionaire businessman’s ultimate political strength.” In effect, the GOP’s Washington-based political class is completely out of touch with GOP voters.

OCPD Seeking Citizen Volunteers to Join Auxiliary Unit
Formally known as the Reserve Unit, the program began in 1999 with seven civilian volunteers. The Unit currently has ten dedicated members. Since the Unit’s inception, Auxiliary Officers have donated over 50,000 invaluable hours of service to the citizens of Ocean City. Auxiliary Officers work very closely with OCPD police officers and civilian staff performing tasks such as traffic control, pedestrian safety, special event security, assistance with community programs, parking enforcement and clerical duties.
Citizens who wish to become an Auxiliary Officer must first complete a 10-week Citizens Police Academy class which covers topics such as criminal law, traffic safety, patrol techniques, community policing and forensic science. Applicants must then complete field training where they will gain training experience while on the road with a police officer.

Delaware Autism Program Teacher Arrested
Newark, DE - Delaware State Police have arrested a Delaware Autism Program teacher who is accused of assaulting a 6 year old student earlier this month.
On October 19, 2015, State Police detectives were contacted by the Delaware Autism Program (DAP) administration who advised them that a six year old male student of the program at the Etta J. Wilson Elementary School, located at 14 Forge Road, Newark, had been assaulted by his teacher at the school on October 16, 2015. Through further investigation it was determined that the teacher, identified as Anne Gullo, 52, of Newark, had pushed the male student who then fell into a bookshelf. As a result, the student received a minor injury to his back.
On October 26, 2015, a warrant charging Anne Gullo with Child Abuse 2nd Degree was obtained. She turned herself in to detectives at Troop 2, Glasgow, and was arraigned at the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas. Gullo was issued a $500.00 unsecured bail and released.
Due to the sensitive nature of this incident, specific details will not be released at this time.

America is well-known for being a highly medicated society. Antidepressants in particular are a big moneymaker for the pharmaceutical industry, since at least 1 in 10 Americans are on these pills. But when you compare our level of pharmaceutical consumption to that of other countries, it’s obvious that our doctors are prescribing them to people who are not actually depressed.
A recent study published in the Journal of Clinical Psychiatry came to the same conclusion. The researchers conducted multiple interviews with antidepressant users in the Baltimore area. They found that 69% of themnever had a depression disorder. They also considered other conditions that are commonly treated with antidepressants, such as OCD, panic disorder, social phobia, and anxiety disorder. 38% of the patients never met the criteria for those ailments.

Probably so if you don’t understand those “sell by,” “use by” and “best before” labels stamped on groceries you buy.
A report by the Harvard Food Law and Policy Clinic and the Natural Resources Defense Council found that the vast majority of Americans misinterpret food labels and throw out perfectly good food.
By understanding some simple terms, you can keep that money in your pocket, rather than toss it in the trash can.
‘Best before’ date and ‘use by’ date
“Best before” and “use by” dates don’t mean you should toss that food away. Those labels typically indicate the manufacturer’s estimate of when the food will be past its peak for quality. But that doesn’t mean the food is unsafe, the report says.
There is no standard that establishes those dates. Laws vary by state, and manufacturers have their own rules for setting dates. Neither the U.S. Food and Drug Administration nor the U.S. Department of Agriculture has stepped in to address the confusion.

Why a Taiwanese woman gave birth on a plane — only to be separated from her child
Somewhere over the Pacific Ocean, on October 8th, a Taiwanese woman with the surname Jian went into labor on China Airlines Flight 8. Luckily for her, a UCLA doctor was on the same flight; and with the assistance of the flight crew, Dr. Angelica Zen was able to deliver the baby. (The delivery was captured on a cell-phone video.) And the flight, which was supposed to go to Los Angeles, ended up touching down in Alaska instead so the woman could get postpartum care.
The baby is still in the United States. But the mother has been deported back to Taiwan. She's been criticized by Taiwanese government officials. And she might end up having to pay the Taiwanese government (which is the majority owner of China Airlines) to cover the cost of diverting the plane to Alaska.
This sounds incredibly harsh — and maybe it is. But the reason that government officials and the media in Taiwan are so upset with this woman is that they suspect she lied to the airline (and to the US government) about her pregnancy in order to get onto that plane, in the hopes of giving birth in the United States. In other words, she was trying to have an "anchor baby" — and it might have backfired. Here's why Taiwan is so concerned.

WASHINGTON — Tens of thousands of people with modest incomes are at risk of losing health insurance subsidies in January because they did not file income tax returns, federal officials and consumer advocates say.
Under federal rules, anyone who receives an insurance subsidy must file a tax return to verify that the person was eligible and received the proper amount of financial assistance based on household income.
When the federal insurance marketplace opens for the third enrollment season next Sunday, users will see a new question: “Did your household file a 2014 tax return and reconcile any premium tax credit you used?”
If the answer to that question is no, consumers risk losing the subsidies they receive to help pay premiums. Without such assistance, many would find insurance unaffordable.
Many of the people potentially affected have incomes so low that they would not otherwise have to file tax returns. But if they received insurance subsidies in 2014, they were required to file this year.

OCPD Reminding Citizens to be Safe While Celebrating Halloween
OCEAN CITY, MD – : As all of the young trick-or-treaters dressed as witches and warlocks and party-going ghosts and goblins hit the streets of Ocean City, the Ocean City Police Department reminds everyone to be safe this Halloween.
Parents are encouraged to remind their trick-or-treaters of the following safety tips before going out in search of Halloween candy:
- Never trick-or-treat alone. Always stay with a parent or guardian. If the child is trusted to trick-or-treat alone, remind the child to stay with friends and only go to areas that are familiar and are well lit.
- Fasten reflective tape to costumes and always carry a flashlight. This will make the child more visible to drivers. Also, choose face paint and makeup instead of masks. This prevents the child’s vision from being obstructed.
- Only eat factory-wrapped treats and avoid eating homemade treats made by strangers.
- Enter homes only when with a trusted adult. Only visit well-lit homes and avoid dark houses. Also, never accept any rides from strangers while trick-or-treating.
- Always remember to stay on the sidewalk and only cross the street at the crosswalk when the signal gives the okay. Walk Smart!
For those older ghosts and goblins that will be celebrating Halloween, keep the party off the road. Remember these safety tips while celebrating:
- Plan a safe way home before the festivities begin.
- Before drinking, designate a sober driver.
- If you’re impaired, take a taxi, call a sober friend or family member or use public transportation.
- If you happen to see a drunk driver on the road, do not hesitate to contact law enforcement.
- And remember, Friends Don’t Let Friends Drive Drunk. If you know someone who is about to drive while impaired, take their keys and help them make other arrangements to get to where they are going safely.

Commission Members Tasked with Finding Solutions to Over-Testing
“When schools and teachers are forced to overemphasize standardized tests in the classroom, they deprive students of the kind of quality education they deserve,” said Governor Larry Hogan. “It is clear to most Marylanders that we are over-testing our students and the process needs to be greatly improved. I look forward to reviewing the findings and solutions that this commission produces to help get our schools back on the right track.”
The 19-member task force includes Acting State Superintendent of Schools Jack R. Smith; State Board of Education Member Guffrie M. Smith Jr. (appointed by the president of State Board of Education); four members of the legislature, Senators Nancy J. King and Paul G. Pinsky and Delegates Eric D. Ebersole and Shelly L. Hettleman (appointed by Senate President Miller and House Speaker Busch, respectively); and parents, teachers, administrators, and education experts appointed by the governor.
