Delaware Autism Program Teacher Arrested

Newark, DE - Delaware State Police have arrested a Delaware Autism Program teacher who is accused of assaulting a 6 year old student earlier this month.

On October 19, 2015, State Police detectives were contacted by the Delaware Autism Program (DAP) administration who advised them that a six year old male student of the program at the Etta J. Wilson Elementary School, located at 14 Forge Road, Newark, had been assaulted by his teacher at the school on October 16, 2015. Through further investigation it was determined that the teacher, identified as Anne Gullo, 52, of Newark, had pushed the male student who then fell into a bookshelf. As a result, the student received a minor injury to his back.

On October 26, 2015, a warrant charging Anne Gullo with Child Abuse 2nd Degree was obtained. She turned herself in to detectives at Troop 2, Glasgow, and was arraigned at the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas. Gullo was issued a $500.00 unsecured bail and released.
