Marylanders can now begin applying for eviction prevention partnership grants.
Gov. Larry Hogan announced Wednesday the application period for $16 million in grants is now open.
Residents will have to demonstrate they’ve lost their job or their work hours have been reduced because of the pandemic.
Applications are due October 2.
Maryland’s moratorium on evictions remains in place during the state of emergency.

There is no way for mortgaged properties to continue paying without rental income.
The banks are going to get a chance to foreclose and take the properties.

Make them get part time jobs. I had to work 3 jobs at their age to make ends meet. The Government didn't give me money, $600 a week over unemployment, that I didn't have to pay back.
As a Senior drawing SSI, I am not even given $600 a month extra to live on.
As a healthy person the government gives them $600 extra a week, $31,000 a year, But a Senior on SSI with failing health does not get $600 extra a month, $7,200 a year.
Where is the equality? Politians don't care about Seniors, since OBAMCARE allows them to kill off the Seniors.
