The Virginia House of Delegates on Tuesday, struck a blow to the states Police Officers.
Days after striking down a bill that would eliminate qualified immunity for police, a legal defense that often prevents officers from facing civil lawsuits, the Delegates passed the bill.
On Friday the bill did not receive the votes needed because two of the states Democrats voted against it, but it was reported that over the weekend House Democrats bullied the two Democrat holdouts, and on Tuesday, one of those Democrats actually made the motion to reconsider, and both Democrats then changed their vote!
“Although I had concerns about the bill last Friday, I welcomed the reconsideration as an opportunity to do further work with Delegate Bourne and my House and Senate colleagues,” Kory said in a statement after the vote.

The State of Virginia is totally out of control. The government has veered so far left it seems they are taking a page from California.
More cops choosing a different career, is what will happen.

Good!!! Cops should not have immunity, it was never meant for cops to begin with but you slaves let the unions and politics get in the way and that is why cops can murder you with no recourse...
Prediction:
In 5-to-ten years there will be zero applicants for law enforcement.
Also: Nobody in their right mind will want to be a politician, especially highly qualified, successful people.
Due to social media, a person's entire past is there for the world to see - warts and all.
Think about it, some guy running for a high office and the photo of him giving the finger to the camera at a Frat Party during his college days will show up and used against him during campaigning.

The Democrats plan is to eliminate all local police agencies and replace them with a National police force Adolph Hitler did the same thing his National police force was called the Gestapo and they would be used to disappear people that criticized the state

Yeah...crazy VA again. Impact will hurt the future LEOs or lack there of. Many military Vets are LEOs and we are so fortunate - but this probably opens other states eyes to do the same thing in the future. Vets will now second guess utilizing their service experience to become LEOs and do something else.

Is the State, Counties and Municipalities going to provide funding tos defend against possible civil cases against their employees (police)?
I am fitting my car with camera's and am going to get rich off this! All I got to do is get a hotheaded cop to punch me and I will get a couple million bucks off him!
Most LEOs lack the education and temperament to do anything beyond being a cop, where else can you get high pay, free healthcare, and a pension with only a GED, 20 weeks of flawed training and a desire to inflict violence on the community. The very, very few good cops out there have nothing to worry about with this bill....its the people's will...don't like it? Find a new job and good riddance...
We need to.support the police. 99.9% of the time they do an excellent job. Though 99.9% is not perfect, but to expect 100% perfection is unrealistic. Every profession has those who should not be doing what they do. Are all doctors, contractors, teachers, lawyers, politicians perfect? Are you perfect?
Accepting the realities that exist in this world is part of being a mature .
As we want the police to do a better job, we as citizens need to also do a better job when we interact with them. Yelling, cussing, resisting with the police is never an acceptable way to act. If you believe the officer was wrong the best thing to do is to see an attorney afterwards.

Whomever wrote this has NO IDEA at all what they are talking about. As a cop a lot of them have training every year and most do have some college. Most DO NOT get high pay, THEY HAVE ALWAYS paid a portion of their health insurance plus their families, and a lot of them have NO PENSION if they have been a cop before pensions were put into effect. So unless you actually know the real TRUTH you need to STHU!!!!
Most cops have at least some college less than 1 percent have violence issues and are fired the 99 percent are excellent officers . If you don’t like your experience with law enforcement than stop breaking the law loser
