Enter the typical tirade of racist garbage comments and anti-BLM statements. I'll go ahead and just state the obvious:
1) it's not about blacks vs whites, as obviously the boy was hanging out with atleast 1 (and possibly 2) young black kids. And the black kid got up to atleast try to defend his friend
2) BLM is about protection of civil rights from the government. It doesn't apply to these cases only because we see where the perp here was quickly ID'ed, arrested, and will get what he deserves. Thats justice served, no need to protest.

"A formal warrant has now been issued on the suspect, Cedric Charles Moore, Jr., a 27 year-old male from Cape Girardeau.
Officers have traveled to the suspect’s residence and various additional locations he is known to frequent; however, they have been met with a lack of cooperation from the suspect’s friends and family.
The public has understandably expressed a desire to see Moore charged with a hate crime for this heinous crime. In accordance with state statutes, this charge would only apply if the assault was categorized to a lesser degree, which would not be in the best interest of seeking true justice for the victim.
Officers with the Cape Girardeau Police Department are continuing to survey locations that Moore may be located. Anyone harboring Moore should know they may be criminally charged for their actions."

628 you do realize that the BLM platform is far from some centralized monolithic movement right? Yes, someone did create an organization. That doesn't mean that organization speaks for the movement. The movement was well underway beforehand and most people don't care what those that run the organization say.
