LIVE at 10:10 p.m. ET: President Trump speaks from Mount Rushmore
President Trump just left for South Dakota, where tonight he will become the first president since George H. W. Bush in 1991 to attend Mount Rushmore’s Independence Day celebration! The stunning fireworks show is returning after a decade-long hiatus.

The President will then return to Washington to host tomorrow’s 2020 Salute to America celebration with First Lady Melania Trump. Tomorrow’s National Mall event will feature one of the largest fireworks displays in history, and President Trump will kick off the festivities with an address to the Nation from the White House South Lawn.
The 2020 Salute to America will be “a patriotic tribute to our men and women in uniform,” Interior Secretary David Bernhardt says.

This is so ironic.He is next on Mt Rushmore.His image will be carved beginning in 2040.
It's great to see normal people on the TV, again.
Boy he really pandered to the fringe elements of the party. Some of us are long invested Republicans and Conservatives before these " Cultural Conspiracies " and fear mongering. The propagandist use of Rushmore as a backdrop is classically the spectacle you'd expect from Putin or North Korea or some third world potentate. He is egomaniacal and crass in a way that appeals to his delusions of Celebrity. I am shocked though how many buy into it. Cheering crying and slobbering you'd think Nazi Leni Riefenstahl directed it.
I would like to see the carving begin today, July 4th our independence celebration day.

Trump doesn't want us to lose our history, good or bad. He loves the people of this country and wants to protect and care for us. What a wonderful rally of independence.

Wouldn't even know there was a pandemic going on from his speech. Just bizarre. Just ignore it and it will eventually go away, I guess.
Northwest Woodsman: I consider this a genuine gesture of his love for this country and us as a people. If he were extended the courtesy to do his job without being vilified by the controlled media and the Marxist democrat machine, I think all of us would be amazed at what could be accomplished if he were set free to manage and correct issues and problems that effect us.
I am a proud Trump supporter and cashed my check. Used it to do some work on my trailer, new AC and some new furniture. He is rock solid in our trailer park; don’t think Biden will get one vote.
