OC Police Use Cell Phone To Track Carjacking Suspects; Wicomico Authorities Nab Suspects After Crash

OCEAN CITY — Two Washington, D.C. area men are being held this week without bond after allegedly carjacking a vehicle in Ocean City and fleeing into Wicomico County before crashing last Sunday afternoon.

Around 2:40 p.m. last Sunday, Ocean City Police Department (OCPD) officers responded to a parking lot at 9th Street for a reported carjacking. The alleged victim’s cousin had called 911 to report his cousin had just been carjacked at gunpoint and was possibly still in the vehicle.

The victim was not still in the carjacked vehicle and told police what had happened. The victim reportedly told police he had backed his vehicle into a parking space at 9th Street and was talking on his cell phone with his cousin when the alleged incident occurred.

Stole a Hyundai and a pair of New Balances and didn't know the cops could trace the phone. Sounds like a geezer pulled pulled this carjacking.

I sure hope all (tracking) was done on the up and up.

Within the confines of law or court system this better not get thrown out on a technicality.

Sheesh!

Trash like that should be shot. They don't deserve to use the air that we breath. Thank you Democrats for giving the rest of America a sh**load of criminals.

The victim can’t allow his own phone to be tracked? Find my phone, ever heard of it? Also no such charge in Maryland as grand larceny that is TV.

more of these thugs need to be shot!

Since it was the victim's phone, in pretty certain they had consent...

Why has this taken almost a week to surface? There has been nothing in the paper or on the local news. I understand some police officers were injured in the crash. How are they?

Forgive me for being curious! I can't stand how the articles about crimes are written with little to no regard as to who the suspects are. Christian Washington & Brandon Jones. Fairly innocuous sounding good ole fashioned American names right. Well, who are Mr. Washington and Mr. Jones. By the news article could be anyone. Could be any race. Today they could be one of more than 100 different genders. One could be the Great Great Great Grandson of George Washington. The other could be the Son of James Earl Jones for all I know. From what is provided in the article we would never know. It takes someone like myself with a little curiosity to discover what isn't readily apparent in the article. With a little research on Judicial Case Search we find the expected answers. Mr. Christian Jevonta Washington and Brandon Marcellis Jones. I don't feel that I need to go any further and describe what now is much more readily apparent. As with much of the mainstream media today the are happy to provide this information by shouting it from the rooftops if it fits their narrative. If that info fails to meet the high bar that they have set for a newsworthy headline that information can not and will not be revealed. By doing so the Author of the article would be labeled as a racist. I'll probably be called the same for this post. In my book actions have consequences & if you ain't willing to do the time don't commit the crime. It doesn't matter what color, race, creed, sexuality you are. I'm sure that they are proud as anything about what they have done. I'd also be willing to bet that they're pissed off that they got caught. Wow 4 Felonies and a Misdemeanor each. Makes me wonder whats on the menu today at the Worcester County Jail. I doubt its Steak and Lobster like i'm getting ready to go have. I hope they get the book thrown at them when they go to court. Lets just hope that the States Attorney doesn't let them plead to the Misdemeanor and Nol Pros the Felonies. I'll even volunteer to be on the Jury. I'm gonna have to keep an eye on this one.

I agree this is old news news. However for ocean city how many people being hurt, attacked , property damaged employees assaulted stabbings an AK 47(this could do some real damage, just for the $$$$.

I think all hotels need metal detectors. The police may need some dogs to sniff out items in cars.

What is OC response to these items?

Yep!, lead bottom Buzzoro has it under control. Liberal top-cop. That's what he's got slow-hand Meehan and the council buffaloed. If his lazy ass isn't terminated soon, slow-hand will be able to entertain the weekenders at his house.

No plea to a misdemeanor.... they will get DOC time.

When race is left out of the suspect description it is most likely they're black.

Northwest Woodsman: Segregate them from our society and you will see the problems magically disappear. It worked effectively during my years on the eastern shore from 1949 to 1963. You once could park your car in O.C. and leave the keys in it and not worry about it being gone when you returned. Imagine, if you will, living in that era and then experiencing the severe decline in standard of living resulting from multiculturalism, integration and affirmative action. Makes me really sad.

So how did they get to OC if they didn’t have a car?
