The city needs a mascot, a happy rainbow clown to wave at traffic and cut ribbons and make public service announcements and to be Salisbury's goodwill ambassador here on the Shore and in Annapolis.

Day is so full of it why couldn't we have banners like everyone else does with just the name of the city or town. Salisbury would have been a better choice than trying to be something we're not, the Mayor doesn't care what the people think or how we feel it's all about him and his media quest. To be equal their would have to be transparency and that he can't relate to.
Because it so important that we should all celebrate and act like it is wonderful that there are people attracted to the same sex.

See the problem with most of the people on this blog is that they believe their beliefs and opinions represent the opinions of the majority. The fact is that they are wrong about that especially when it comes to many social issues. This blog is your only source of “news” and it’s filled with mostly opinion pieces from other obscure sources as well as comments from a few like-minded individuals. Your views exist only on the fringes of the conservative party. Your extreme homophobic and racist remarks would certainly be rejected by most conservatives as well as nearly all republican politicians. They don’t even go this far on Fox News. The reality is that your views are outdated and unacceptable to the majority of modern voters. So you can feel free to hold onto your hate and disgust of homosexuals and minorities, but just know that society will never go back to the way you want (the one where straight, white men had all of the power). You can kick and scream about it until the day you die, but it won’t change anything. You’ll just go to your grave as a bunch of old, bitter racists and homophobes reliving the “good ole days.”

I'm offended by those flags all over downtown and am thinking about suing the Town of Salisbury. What would happen if the city leaders decided to put swastika flags on poles downtown? There would be an uproar like never before, so let get those damn queer flags down immediately !!!!

Nobody cares just bandwagon losers
We are not all equal here! This is insulting lip service. People from economically disadvantaged neighborhoods get red-lined. People who don’t have credit because they save and pay cash for what they need can’t get fair priced mortgages. Then, check out how people are treated based on which street they live on...and more. These flags insult me. No committee to fixing the core problems.

I think for most people, they don't care what you do with your private life. I have nothing against gay people. But, why are there gay flags and a gay crosswalk painted in the roadway but no American flag flying from lamp posts? This is nothing but political jockeying.
