Watch Minneapolis this afternoon. They are having a "memorial service" for floyd today. We all know all hell is going to break lose. They can't even act dignified at something like a memorial service.
Black lives matter is a racist remark in as much as white lives matter would be if used in the same context. There is not a doubt that there are racists in our Country. They come in all sizes, shapes and colors. Their actions are magnified and promoted by the media as being a reflection of our entire Country, of which nothing is further from the truth.
However, do not call my Nation racists when it fought a civil war to end slavery, elected blacks to every office in our Country, including the Presidency. Fought the KKK to where is no longer relevant. Passed the Civil Rights, and Voting Rights Act. Yes, unfortunately police overreact at times. It is minuscule, compared to the number of arrests that occur. Action in training and dealing with police that abuse authority must take place. This is the problem in our Country, not blatant nationwide racism. I and many others are sick and tired of hearing such a lie being promoted and exploited by the media and the race baiters! All local black people killed by other blacks. Their deaths didn't rate a protest because they weren't murdered by the right person. They were killed by other blacks. Because they were killed by other blacks their lives aren't valued. They don't even rate a Stop the Violence protest for an hour in their own neighborhoods. No one stood on the corner holding signs for them. Heck probably most of our local blacks don't even know their names but black lives matter to them?
This is why black on black murders are happening in record numbers. Black youth are taught all lives aren't worthy of the same treatment in death. Life in not valued the same. Some are worthy of outrage and protests over their deaths and others are not worthy of this emotion even though they died by the hand of someone else. When life is not valued equally kids take notice and don't have any qualms about killing.

The truth is that, while his death was tragic, George Floyd was anything but a fine, upstanding American. He certainly should not have been killed, and those responsible have been arrested, charged and jailed while awaiting trial.
The issue here is not peaceful assembly and protest, but an unmitigated excuse to threaten and intimidate along with looting, stealing and causing destruction. The issue here, is a false narrative pushed upon the public, and if you are not in agreement you are then shouted down by the mob mentality of the pack.

I am very familiar with the ceasefire movement. I also know that it doesn't bring out very many people. The lady who organizes it keeps it going. I admire her determination. Sadly, during the last one, the violence continued. Was a time when the violence was between drug dealers and or gangs and happened at night. Now, anyone is fair game; elderly, children, it makes no difference, and you are just as vulnerable in daylight hours. Even sitting in the back seat of a car doesn't mean you won't be killed, as a couple of children tragically found out!

I suppose if you try to compare geographical locations and events with human lives, it may give your argument some credence. However, when we are talking about lives, black, white, police and others, the best description to bring attention to the travesty is ALL LIVES MATTER, which is unifying in itself. And of course, a follow up or description of the location and details could be provided.
There should be outrage towards police departments who are assaulting people regardless of color.

Damn shame that the value of someone's life depends on who killed them. It's disturbing to say the least and is indicative of why young blacks kill so frequently and kill each other. They don't value life because it's not taught to them. It's all about who the killer is. This is an uncomfortable conversation blacks refuse to have.
And what does the color black have to do with this? Floyd did not lose his life because of his color. Where is their proof that he died because he was black? Just because he happened to be black means nothing. What was it that those did that was racist toward Floyd?
