BALTIMORE (WJZ) – The Restaurant Association of Maryland projects 25% of restaurants will close permanently as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic.
“We’re losing some longtime restaurants that have been a staple in the community,” Marshall Weston, President and CEO of the Restaurant Association of Maryland, said. “This crisis has gone on much longer than anyone has anticipated and, quite frankly, restaurants are running out of money.”
Weston said 45% of the state’s restaurants are currently closed, either because they have not shifted to the take-out model or they are closed for good.
“I think restaurants need to know what the timeline is to reopen,” Weston said. “The pressures that restaurants are going to feel during this transition process are going to be immense.”
City Café in Mount Vernon and Ryleigh’s Oyster in Federal Hill each announced permanent closures within the past week.

I agree the government should be honest about the timeline. The timeline will enable restaurant owners to make informed decisions about how long to hang on. Right now they are in limbo because they don’t know how long the restrictions will last.
The Fed, ECB, BOJ, and PBOC need time to develop the new currency exchange. There have been fiat currency collapses in history, but never has a world reserve currency collapsed. This will take time. The economy must be opened very slowly to prevent a complete hyper-inflation of the US Dollar.
Disgraceful.
That is what Adolph Hogan and the Third Reich wants. They can eat high on the hog while we will not be able to go out and enjoy a meal occasionally.
Another country has expressed an interest in investing in American restaurants dessimated by the shutdown. They should be chiming in soon. These are exciting times. In one year the restaurants in our country will not only be bailed out but will be better than ever.
There's always Barber College.
Good for me, I have 3 Franchised places here on the shore.
GOVERNOR HOGAN DRAGGING HIS FEET DIDN'T HELP!!!
It’s too late for some to need a timeline. Many in local areas have already thrown the towel in after being landmarks for fifty years or more. Very sad.
And it's going to be more than 25% mark my word
Santury states appear to be leading the physc op against the constitution

I agree after reading a lot about the inflation of currency by the banks through lending. There is too much debt for the banks.
There are two types of political people you want yo avoid fat asses (hogan) and females . Both are democrats in disguise.
Yo
Not everyone who is fat is a Democrat

That darn spellcheck messed up your comment. I hate when that happens.
Oh well, should have stood up like I said, should have fought back like I said... NOPE you all know everything about nothing and are good slaves!!!!! You got what you wanted!!!! You rather demonize people like JOE does about the residence here and coming here from other states about a fake virus you clowns refuse to research but think you know everything about it... Yet did all of that jaw jacking solve anything??? Are your business open??? NO??? So STFU you deserve to have your business close for good for not listening to me and everyone else saying how illegal these orders are... Even with all of these layers and cops telling you how illegal they are, and how they won't enforce the illegal orders, and how its not law but a suggestion, and how the governors are being sued and losing and none of that tells you how illegal it is, but you will listen to and believe the media who is known for lying and even tells you to your face every single day how they are liars...
Yeah, OH well... You actually deserve all of this now!!!!
BY the way I am still waiting for someone to tell me they know someone or they know someone who knows someone that is sick or died form this virus!!!! Funny how this was all done to flatten the "curve" and the curve is flattened but yet your still locked down huh!!!

You are suggesting the central banks work together on currency expansion? I thought China was accused of currency manipulation, meaning they make their currency worth less to make exports more attractive.
But you are saying they move in tandem?
Isn’t that like collusion?
Don't Close MY DAYTON'S , Salisbury, MD 21801 !!!!
